  • T-Rich expected to practice on Thursday
The Colts' plan is for Trent Richardson (hamstring) to return to practice on Thursday.

Advice: Despite leaving last week's game early and not practicing on Wednesday, T-Rich fully expects to play Sunday at Pittsburgh. Per Colts beat writer Mike Wells, Richardson "could have returned to the game but he was held out because the outcome had already been decided." Richardson averaged 5.5 YPC against the Bengals, which says more about Cincinnati's pathetic run defense than T-Rich. Rotoworld.com

  • Jaguars view Denard Robinson as RB of future?
ESPN's Michael DiRocco believes the Jaguars could have "found their running back of the future" in Denard Robinson.

Advice: "It may be the Denard Robinson show going forward," DiRocco said. "The Jaguars are going to limit his workload in the 15-20 carry range…but I think the main job is going to be Robinson's." Toby Gerhart resumed practicing Wednesday, and could return this week in a complementary role. Robinson has long-term upside, but will be just an RB3/FLEX in Week 8 against Miami. Rotoworld.com

  • Dixon with 1s, Brown with 2s for Bills on Wed.
Anthony Dixon was working as the Bills' starting running back at Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Dixon ran with Kyle Orton's group, while Bryce Brown worked alongside E.J. Manuel with the No. 2 offense. It's not a huge surprise, as Dixon has been ahead of Brown on the depth chart all season. And we project this backfield to open as a timeshare in Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller's absence. But we still prefer Brown as the add off the waiver wire, though both need to be owned. Brown can hit the home run, while Dixon is merely a plodder who's going to average 3.5-4.0 YPC. Both backs have a tough matchup Week 8 against the Jets, anyway. Rotoworld.com

49ers RB Marcus Lattimore (knee, NFI) has been cleared to practice next Monday when the team returns from its bye week.

Advice: It'll be the first time he's been cleared to practice since wrecking his knee on October 27, 2012 at South Carolina. "I’m still going through the process. But I feel great," Lattimore said. "It's been a long road." Once Lattimore steps on the practice field, it will start a 21-day clock for him to either be activated or shut down for the remainder of the season. He's determined to play in 2014, but it remains to be seen if it'll happen. Lattimore says he feels better than ever. He'll turn 23 next Wednesday. Lynch ended up rushing for 53 yards on 18 carries against the Rams. But he had a 15-yard touchdown and 18-yard run called back on penalties. • Foster piles up 115 yards, TD in MNF defeat
Arian Foster rushed for 102 yards on 20 carries in the Texans' 30-23, Week 7 loss to the Steelers on Monday night, adding four catches for 13 yards and one touchdown.

Advice: Foster got off to a blazing start, rushing for 59 yards on the Texans' 94-yard opening touchdown drive, but was vultured by Alfred Blue for the 11-yard touchdown catch to cap it off. The wheels then fell off the Texans later in the half, and they never recovered. Foster was part of the problem, as he lost a fumble at his own three-yard line, setting up Le'Veon Bell's easy TD. Foster gave fantasy owners a scare on the third series of the game when he appeared to twist his knee while getting bent backward on a tackle. He shook it off and remained in the game. Anthony Dixon is under the impression he'll be the Bills' feature back going forward.

Advice: Fred Jackson (groin) could miss a month and C.J. Spiller (collarbone) is out for the season. "This is an opportunity I've been waiting for, to get back in that workhorse role and show people what I can do," said Dixon, who went on to insist he's been mislabeled as a short-yardage back. He also lost his fullback Derrick Coleman in pre-game warmups to a foot injury. Lynch caught both of his pass-game targets for 18 yards. Advice: He also caught a seven-yard pass. Starks went down late in the third quarter, but almost certainly could have continued running were the Pack not running away with the game. He remained on the sideline in his helmet, which is almost always an indication a player could check back in. Starks continued to rotate with Eddie Lacy before going down, getting three series to himself. Starks cut back on his 13-yard score in the first quarter, displaying excellent vision. Advice: Looking like a legitimate running back, the converted Michigan quarterback mixed chain-moving gains with explosive runs on the perimeter. • Fozzy Whittaker not practicing Thursday
Panthers RB Fozzy Whittaker (quad) remained sidelined Thursday.

Advice: With Darrin Reaves (calf) also sidelined, the Panthers could be left with just Chris Ogbonnaya behind a returning Jonathan Stewart in their historically injury prone running back corps. Rotoworld.com

  • Arian Foster (groin) limited on Thursday
Arian Foster was limited in Thursday's practice with a groin injury.

Advice: It's a new ailment for Foster, but it doesn't appear to be anything that's going to cast doubt on his status for Monday night's game against the Steelers. It's never wise to take Foster's health for granted, but fantasy owners can leave him locked in as their RB1. Rotoworld.com

  • Pierre Thomas (illness) misses practice
Pierre Thomas (illness) missed Thursday's practice.

Advice: It's not a concern for Thomas' Week 7 status. He'll almost certainly be listed as "probable" on Friday's injury report. He'll be good to go as a FLEX option against the Lions. Rotoworld.com

  • Shonn Greene (hamstring) still not practicing
Shonn Greene (hamstring) remained out of Titans practice Thursday.

Advice: Greene is going to miss Week 7, giving rookie Bishop Sankey another week to work on locking down No. 1 duties. Rotoworld.com

  • Don Brown (concussion) still not practicing
Donald Brown (concussion) has yet to resume practicing.

Advice: Brown appears all but certain to miss his second-straight game, leaving the Bolts' backfield to Branden Oliver. Locked into a monster workload for Week 7, Oliver is a legit RB1. Rotoworld.com

  • Bevell admits he needs to get Lynch the ball
Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell admitted that he has to "do a better job of giving [Marshawn Lynch] the ball."

Advice: Bevell inexcusably forgot about Lynch in the loss to the Cowboys, giving him just 10 carries (which went for 61 yards). It's not the first time this season either, as Lynch is on pace for just 252 carries after going over 300 in each of the last two seasons. But Bevell appears to see the error of his ways now. "The fantasy owners … I'm not a fantasy owner," he said. "I don't care about anyone's (fantasy) points. But I do care about us winning the game. And Marshawn is a huge key for us winning the game." Expect the Beast to get fed and bounce back big on Sunday against a Rams team ranked 24th in yards per attempt allowed. Rotoworld.com

  • Payton won't say how carries will shake out
When asked how running carries will be distributed Sunday, coach Sean Payton said, "we will kind of see how we handle that."

Advice: Mark Ingram's return from a broken hand is obviously awful news for Khiry Robinson. Ingram was running at an elite level before his injury and it's not like he's coming off a knee or ankle issue. We expect him to hit the ground running as the primary big back, leaving Robinson for something like 6-8 touches against the Lions. Rotoworld.com

  • Toby Gerhart (foot) not practicing Wednesday
Toby Gerhart (foot) is not practicing Wednesday.

Advice: Gerhart suggests he still may play Week 7 against the Browns. Don't look for the Jaguars to push Gerhart out there at less than 100 percent when he's merely a marginal talent when fully healthy. It could be the Storm Johnson show again versus Cleveland. Neither back would be more than an RB3. Rotoworld.com
