Advice: Coach Chuck Pagano would only say that Herron "may" start again this week against the Redskins because he practiced so well leading up to Week 12, but most Colts beat writers get the impression it'll be Herron getting the nod over Richardson again. This comes two days after Richardson said he didn't start last week because he was recovering from the flu. We didn't buy it. As long as Murray can gain full clearance by Friday, he'll be good to go for Sunday's game against the Rams. We fully expect Murray to take over as the Raiders' starter after he stung the Chiefs for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only four carries. He needs to be 100 percent owned in 10-12 team leagues. • Gore goes 13-39 against Redskins
Frank Gore managed 39 yards on 13 carries in the 49ers' Week 12 victory over the Redskins.

Advice: The 49ers predictably had very little success running the ball on Washington's stout front. Gore contributed to San Francisco's turnover-filled day with a lost fumble in the fourth quarter. He was also "vultured" by Carlos Hyde on a fourth-quarter TD run, which proved the game winner. With a matchup against the Seahawks on deck, Gore will be a dicey bet as more than a low-expectations RB2/flex on Thanksgiving night. Gore is still a rock-solid all-around football player, but he's understandably lost a lot of "juice" as a runner during his age-31 season. He also wore down during last year's stretch run. Ryan Mathews rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries in the Chargers' Week 12 win over the Rams.

Advice: Mathews ran all over the Rams in the first half and ended an early third-quarter possession with a 32-yard touchdown scamper. But two Rams landed on top of him at the end of the run, and Mathews ended up missing about 20 minutes of game time with a shoulder injury before returning late in the fourth. Advice: Lynch missed two series in the first quarter after his troublesome back tightened up on him. He returned to a featured role, but didn't quite look like himself and was facing a strong-tackling Cardinals defense that was swarming. So Lynch owners should consider themselves lucky to come away with 82 total yards given the situation. He had a long run of just 10 yards, and didn't get any red-zone chances. Ben Tate didn't see the field and isn't a threat to McKinnon's role. Boom Herron rushed 12 times for 65 yards in the Colts' Week 12 win over the Jaguars, adding five catches for 31 yards.

Advice: Herron surprisingly drew the start over Trent Richardson in the Colts' first game without Ahmad Bradshaw (leg, I.R.), and ended up out-touching his backfield mate 17-13 and out-gaining him 96-42. Herron was clearly, and unsurprisingly, the far better player, showing considerably more burst and bounce to his step. The two backs alternated series evenly throughout the first half before Herron saw more action in the second half. Even after Herron lost a fumble in the red zone, the Colts didn't shy away from him. Shane Vereen rushed eight times for 12 yards and caught eight passes for 48 yards in the Patriots' Week 12 win over Detroit.

Advice: The Patriots played spread offense one week after gashing Indianapolis with a power running game. Vereen was the primary back, playing 62 snaps to LeGarrette Blount's 17. Jonas Gray didn't even play a down. Blount is getting goal-line carries now in New England's offense, which curbs Vereen's fantasy upside. Advice: Herron was a preseson darling, rushing for 112 yards on 22 carries and catching 11 passes for 55 yards and one touchdown. He's a downhill, north-south runner. The Colts see the writing on the wall with Trent Richardson; he doesn't hit the hole hard and sometimes doesn't even see the gaping holes in the running game. Advice: Conventional wisdom suggests the Seahawks will part ways with their enigmatic star after this season, but that is far from guaranteed. Lynch is still one of the top backs in the league and makes plays seemingly every game that only a few players in the league can make. Seattle has plenty of cap space to both sign Russell Wilson to a long-term extension and hold onto Lynch for another run in 2015. Lynch is on pace for almost 1,700 total yards and 19 total touchdowns this season. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Foster did not practice on Thursday or Friday. The Texans are still calling Foster a "game-time decision," but every indication is Foster will miss his second straight game. • Sparano: Latavius Murray has earned more snaps
Coach Tony Sparano admits Latavius Murray "earned more snaps" after his four-carry, 112-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Chiefs on Thursday night.

Advice: Ya think? Murray didn't get the start Thursday, but entered early in the first quarter and capped off the second and fourth possessions with 11- and 90-yard touchdown runs, respectively. Murray has always been long on talent; it just took Sparano taking over as the coach for the Raiders to realize it and start giving him more snaps. Murray has 10 days to get cleared of his concussion before Week 13 at St. Louis. He has maybe the toughest Weeks 13-16 schedule of any running back. Rotoworld.com

  • Latavius Murray done for day with concussion
Latavius Murray was forced from Oakland's Week 12 game against the Chiefs with a concussion, and will not return.

Advice: What a shame. Finally unleashed behind finished veterans Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew, Murray rushed four times for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He notched scores of 11 and 90 yards, using vicious cutbacks to break free on both runs. The second was the longest play by any player in the NFL this season. Murray took a helmet-to-helmet hit on his fourth rush, however, and was obviously woozy. If there's good news, it's that he has 10 days to get healthy for next week's game against the Rams. It's safe to assume Murray will be the Raiders' new starter when healthy. Following his 90-yard score, Murray's 107 yards on the evening represented 14.4 percent of the Raiders' season total. Advice: Faded Darren McFadden is still getting the "start," but it sounds like the Raiders finally understand they have to do something to jump-start their historically-awful rushing "attack." Foster was downgraded to "DNP" on Thursday after being "limited" on Wednesday. He appears to have slightly better odds of suiting up for Week 12 than he did in Week 11, but his status still remains murky, at best. Advice: If you've found the Raiders' run game to be monumentally futile, that's because it has been. Nevertheless, Oakland has trudged on giving carries to has-beens Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew. That might change in Thursday's game against the Chiefs, as ESPN's Adam Caplan has reported Latavius Murray will finally be in for a bigger workload. According to Turner, Tate is just an "insurance" policy with McKinnon battling a minor back injury and Matt Asiata (concussion) unlikely for Week 12. We'd say it's a no-brainer to now give 24-year-old athletic freak Murray the feature role down the stretch, but this is one of the most dysfunctional organizations in pro sports. Murray, who rushed four times for 47 yards and caught three passes for 16 yards on a season-high 27 snaps Sunday, is a "wait and see" kind of add. The Patriots still used him in the short passing game, with Vereen finishing behind only Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski in targets. Advice: Minnesota was dominated in time of possession -- 39 to 21 -- which left very little opportunity for a Vikings team to run the ball, especially because they played with a deficit for most of Sunday's contest. McKinnon's fantasy start-ability going forward is up in the air with Adrian Peterson having a chance to return in Week 12 against Green Bay. • Texans declare Week 11 inactives
Texans declared RB Arian Foster, QB Tom Savage, WR DeVier Posey, CB Kareem Jackson, S Josh Aubrey, LB Max Bullough, and T Jeff Adams inactive for Week 11 against the Browns.

Advice: As expected, Alfred Blue will get the start at running back. The Texans are unusually banged up coming off their bye. Jackson is another big loss, as he would have covered Browns slot WR Andrew Hawkins in sub-packages. Rotoworld.com

  • Charles Sims scheduled for more playing time
ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Charles Sims is expected to "see more playing time" in his second NFL game, Sunday at Washington.

Advice: As Caplan notes, Sims only played 32 percent of last week's offensive snaps. A 50:50 timeshare between Sims and Bobby Rainey seems more likely this week. It's confirmation that the coaching staff won't punish Sims for his Week 10 lost fumble, but also doesn't necessarily make Sims a strong flex option. Rotoworld.com

  • Texans expect Foster back Week 12 vs. Bengals
Coach Bill O'Brien said he expects Arian Foster (groin) back in the lineup Week 12 against the Bengals.

Advice: Per O'Brien, Foster's groin issue is a "two-week" injury. So, Foster should be fine for the fantasy playoffs, which start Week 13 in most leagues. Alfred Blue will get the start Sunday against the Browns. He's a solid RB2 simply because of volume, but we recommend the Cleveland defense for streaming purposes. Rotoworld.com
