According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Robert Griffin III's (ankle) timetable is 6-8 weeks.

Advice: The Redskins have declined to officially release a timetable because they want to keep their options open. Expect Griffin to be out until the Week 10 bye, at which point they can decide if they'll stick with Kirk Cousins or go back to RG3. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians announced Friday that Drew Stanton will start at quarterback against the 49ers.

Advice: It's fine news for Larry Fitzgerald but concerning for Michael Floyd, whom Stanton missed on five of his six targets in last week's win over the Giants. With McCown performing so terribly in his first three starts, even if the thumb injury doesn't prove to be significant, it will give the Bucs an excuse to look at Mike Glennon. Playing in relief of an injured Josh McCown (thumb), Mike Glennon completed 17-of-24 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown in Tampa Bay's 56-14, Week 3 loss to the Falcons.

Advice: Glennon technically didn't commit any turnovers, but had a snap sail over his head. The Falcons recovered, setting up shop at the Bucs' two-yard line. Glennon later had another miscommunication with C Evan Dietrich-Smith, lining up in shotgun when EDS thought he was under center. It was hard to evaluate Glennon with the game so out of hand, but he looked better than McCown has this season, though he averaged a measly 5.0 yards per attempt. He found Vincent Jackson for a three-yard score in the fourth quarter. McCown's hand was heavily wrapped after his departure, making him look like a long-shot for Week 4. If Glennon starts, he'll do so on the road against the Steelers, and be a bottom-barrel QB2 as the Bucs search for an offensive identity. Rotoworld.com

With the Falcons winning 49-0, Matt Ryan departed Atlanta's Week 3 game against the Bucs midway through the third quarter after completing 21-of-24 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns.

Advice: Ryan simply did whatever he wanted against a defense that looked like it had no clue what was going on, ripping apart zone cushions from the opening whistle. Ryan found superstar Julio Jones for nine catches, 161 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan has now bookended his terrible Week 2 road start with two dominating efforts at home. Josh McCown was forced from the Bucs' Week 3 game against the Falcons with a right (throwing) thumb injury, and will not return.

Advice: Mike Glennon is now in the game at quarterback. McCown smashed his hand on CB Robert McClain's facemask on a follow through, but initially stayed in the game. He departed in the waning minutes of the second quarter, however. McCown was abysmal before heading to the locker room, completing just 5-of-12 passes for 58 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception. His pick came on a pass that took an eternity to develop, and should have never been thrown. McCown may have gotten benched even if he hadn't gotten hurt. Romo attributed his downfield struggles to "poor body positioning" and not decreased arm strength coming off two back surgeries. • Redskins confirm dislocated ankle for Griffin
The Redskins confirmed that Robert Griffin III suffered a dislocated left ankle in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: The Redskins declined to provide a timetable, but it's not good. If RG3 has to go under the knife, his season will be in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins came on in relief and shined by going 22-of-33 for 250 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions as the Redskins won 41-10. Rotoworld.com

  • Tony Romo has quiet afternoon in win
Tony Romo completed 19-of-29 passes for 176 yards and one touchdown in Dallas' Week 2 win over the Titans.

Advice: Romo took a backseat as the Cowboys rode DeMarco Murray and the running game. Thankfully, he made a habit of targeting Dez Bryant, looking his way 14 times, and finding him for 10 catches and a touchdown. Romo still appeared rusty after his limited offseason, often missing low. Either way, it was a major improvement on his Week 1 debacle, and an altogether encouraging afternoon. He has a strong Week 3 matchup in the inept Rams. Rotoworld.com

  • Redskins fear dislocated ankle for Griffin
The Redskins fear that Robert Griffin III suffered a dislocated left ankle in Sunday's Week 2 game against the Jaguars.

Advice: It would be a potentially season-ending injury. RG3, who suffered the injury on a non-contact play near the sideline in the first quarter, will have further tests to confirm. Kirk Cousins has come on and shined in relief as the Redskins are battering the Jags. Rotoworld.com

  • Shaun Hill active; Davis expected to start
Shaun Hill (thigh) is active for Week 2 against the Bucs, but Austin Davis is still expected to start.

Advice: Hill is only available in an emergency. Case Keenum is also active for the Rams. Inactive for the Rams are CB Trumaine Johnson, CB Lamarcus Joyner, RB Tre Mason, RB Trey Watts, OL Barrett Jones, DT Matt Conrath, and TE Alex Bayer. Rotoworld.com

  • Robert Griffin injured on non-contact play
Robert Griffin III left Sunday's game against the Jaguars in the first quarter with a left ankle injury and will not return.

Advice: This one did not look good. Griffin was scrambling toward the sideline when he went down like a ton of bricks without getting touched by a defender. He was in a ton of pain and stayed down on sideline for a long time while being examined by Dr. James Andrews. Kirk Cousins came on and promptly through a 20-yard touchdown on his first attempt. The only sliver of good news is that the injury is not to the right ACL he tore in January of 2013. Rotoworld.com

  • Cards to start Drew Stanton at quarterback
Drew Stanton will be the Cardinals' starting quarterback in Week 2 against the Giants.

Advice: An athletic but inaccurate passer, Stanton has made four career starts. His completion rate is 55.6 percent with a 5:9 TD-to-INT ratio and 6.2 YPA. He's taken 17 career sacks. The insertion of Stanton puts the Giants' defense on the fantasy radar as a streamer play, and is a blow to the outlooks of Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, and John Brown. The Cardinals may lean more heavily than usual on Jonathan Dwyer to give them a power run game Sunday. Rotoworld.com

  • Carson Palmer (shoulder) out, Drew Stanton in
A source tells NFL Network that Carson Palmer (shoulder) will not play in Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Palmer, who is fighting a nerve issue in his throwing shoulder after taking a shot last Monday night, tested it out in warmups and decided he can't go. It's a serious ding to the outlooks of both Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald, as athletic yet inaccurate backup Drew Stanton hasn't started a game since 2010. Consider the 34-year-old Palmer questionable for Week 3 against the 49ers. The Cardinals have a bye in Week 4. Rotoworld.com

  • Cam Newton won't be limited as all
A source tells PFT that Cam Newton (ribs) will have "no limitations" in Sunday's game against the Lions.

Advice: The insinuation is that Newton won't hesitate to tuck-and-run or execute zone-read plays. He'll bring plenty of QB1 upside into this plus matchup. Rotoworld.com

  • RapSheet: Cardinals expecting Palmer to play
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Cardinals expect Carson Palmer (shoulder, questionable) to start against the Giants "assuming his arm feels good pre-game."

Advice: We now have conflicting reports, as a source informed ESPN's Adam Schefter that Palmer was "50-50 at best" to play. The good news is the Cardinals and Giants kick off at 1 PM ET, so Palmer owners will have plenty of time to find a plug-and-play option. Palmer is shaping up as a true game-time decision. • Report: Carson Palmer '50-50' to play at NYG
A source informed ESPN's Adam Schefter that Carson Palmer (shoulder) is "50-50 at best" to play against the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Palmer is dealing with a "nerve thing" in his throwing shoulder and is listed as questionable. Coach Bruce Arians was confident on Friday that his 34-year-old quarterback would play, but admitted Palmer hadn't thrown much during the week. If Palmer can't go, Drew Stanton would get the start for Arizona. Rotoworld.com

  • Rams preparing as if Davis will start at QB
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Rams will test Shaun Hill (thigh) in pre-game warmups, but they're preparing as if Austin Davis will start against the Bucs.

Advice: Hill, 34, didn't practice at all this week. Considering his age and lack of playing time the past few years, it's not surprising that he's not recovering quickly. Davis at least knows the offense and has some mobility. The Rams are going to pound the rock on the ground, and get Davis on the move versus Tampa. Rotoworld.com

Free agent QB Tajh Boyd worked out for the Giants.

Advice: Boyd also visited the Bills this week. He's looking for practice squad work, but remains unsigned. The Giants don't have a No. 3 quarterback and would be a good landing spot. Rotoworld.com

Rams QB Shaun Hill (questionable, thigh) traveled with the team to Tampa Bay.

Shaun Hill (questionable, thigh) will be a game-time decision in Week 2 against the Bucs after practicing on a limited basis Friday.

Advice: Coach Jeff Fisher was vague on Hill's availability following Friday's practice, also expressing confidence in backup Austin Davis. The Rams' entire offense is a fantasy situation to avoid entering a tough matchup at Tampa Bay. Rotoworld.com

  • Flacco notches 2 TDs in easy win over Pitt
Joe Flacco completed 21-of-26 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in Baltimore's 26-6, Week 2 thrashing of the Steelers.

Advice: He also rushed five times for three yards, and took a huge shot on a failed quarterback sneak at the goal-line. Flacco didn't do anything fancy, instead relentlessly targeting Steve Smith and his tight ends on short-to-intermediate routes. He looked Smith's way a whopping 10 times compared to only three for Torrey Smith. Flacco will remain a low-end QB2 for Baltimore's Week 3 trip to Cleveland. Rotoworld.com

Shaun Hill (thigh) remained out of Rams practice Thursday.

Advice: It means Austin Davis should get the call against the Bucs, though OC Brian Schottenheimer hinted Hill may not have to practice to play. Either way, it's a sorry situation. We wouldn't even rule out Case Keenum getting snaps. The Bucs defense can be fired up with impunity for Week 2. Rotoworld.com

  • Tony Romo bounces back well off debacles
In his nine previous games following a three-interception day, Tony Romo has a 94.2 passer rating.

Advice: Romo (back) is on the Week 2 injury report, but practicing in full. Romo was out of sorts in the Week 1 loss to the 49ers, tossing three picks in the first 20 minutes. A bounce-back game against the Titans Sunday should surprise no one. He's been especially strong off three-interception performances lately, throwing seven touchdowns against four picks while averaging 279.7 passing yards in the last four instances. Note that Dallas is only a 3.5 point underdog in a game with a healthy over/under of 49.5. Rotoworld.com

  • Robert Griffin III ran zero zone-reads
The Redskins ran zero read-option plays in Week 1.

Advice: The play that was a dominant staple of the Shanahan scheme is out. "If you're going to be a professional football quarterback, you're going to have to learn to be a pocket passer at some point in your career and he's learning," Jay Gruden said. Griffin went from wild and out of control in the preseason to timid and conservative in Week 1. He'll have a good chance to find a middle ground in Sunday's game against the Jaguars -- we're certainly not giving up on a freak talent like this. Rotoworld.com
