    • Cobb yet to begin contract talks with Packers
Speaking Thursday, walk-year WR Randall Cobb said he's yet to begin long-term talks with the Packers.

Advice: "I guess there's still more to do," Cobb said. "So, just continue to put my nose down every day and focus on getting the team into the playoffs, and doing everything I can to bring back the Super Bowl." Cobb is 12th in the NFL in receiving (1,076 yards), while his 10 scores are tied for eighth. ESPN's Rob Demovsky believes the Pack are more likely to re-sign Cobb than not. Rotoworld.com

Kyle Rudolph (ankle, knee) remained sidelined Thursday.

Advice: Rudolph is beginning to look shaky for Sunday's trip to Miami. • DeMarco Murray (hand) practices on Thursday
DeMarco Murray (hand) practiced for the second-consecutive day on Thursday, getting in a limited session.

Advice: Murray was officially listed as "DNP" on Wednesday even though he was observed by the assembled media as practicing. Either way, Murray continues to get reps, and has even been catching passes with his left hand wrapped up. It sure seems like the Cowboys expect him to suit up against the Colts, though it's possible he'll officially be a game-time decision. Murray comes with much more risk than usual for the fantasy finals, but owners in season-long leagues have to play him if he's active. Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar will form a committee if Murray can't go. More of a pass catcher than Randle, Dunbar's role figures to be bigger than usual even if Murray plays. Rotoworld.com

Cam Newton (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, and is "on target" to start Sunday's game against the Browns.

Advice: Barring a setback, coach Ron Rivera expects Newton to "probably" start over Derek Anderson. It's a huge boost for the Panthers as they try to stay alive in the NFC South. Newton had his best game of the season in Week 14 before his car accident, but will be a borderline QB1 if he suits up for the fantasy finals. His health is obviously a question mark, and the Browns sport a stouter defense than New Orleans. Rotoworld.com

    • LeSean McCoy concedes goal-line work to Polk
LeSean McCoy admitted that Chris Polk is taking over as the Eagles' primary goal-line back.

Advice: Polk played three snaps in Week 15, turning two of them into short touchdowns. A third goal-line carry went to Darren Sproles. "Polk's obviously a little bit more powerful back, so they've been giving him some of the runs in short-yardage in a couple games, especially last game. ... "There's just some plays on 3rd-and-1 type of situations where I probably wouldn't have gotten it, where I see him kind of hit a guy, drag a guy and get in there," McCoy candidly conceded. It's not out of the question that Shady gets some goal-line chances in the flow of the Eagles' hurry-up scheme, but Polk is a drain on touchdown projections. We already know McCoy was struggling to churn up yards and has lost significant pass-game work to Sproles. Rotoworld.com

Kelce ran a season-high 46 routes in Week 14 and backed that up by running 30 in Week 15 -- his third-highest mark of the season. According to CSN Philly's Reuben Frank, Chris Polk received the first running back rep at Eagles practice on Wednesday, ahead of LeSean McCoy.

Advice: A former longtime Cowboys and NFL scout, Broaddus is as plugged-in as anyone covering the team. Cowboys VP Stephen Jones stated on Sirius XM Radio Monday that Murray faced an "uphill battle" to face Indianapolis, but that may have been gamesmanship ahead of arguably the biggest game of Week 16. It's worth noting that Murray's band surgery on his hand was performed on his left hand. Murray primarily carries the ball with his right hand. Advice: We've seen more upbeat reporters on Murray's chances of playing elsewhere on the internet, but indications coming directly from the team are less optimistic. Jones expressed confidence Murray would play in Week 17 against the Redskins. But it sounds like Joseph Randle is the favorite to start this week against the Colts. • DeMarco needs hand surgery, status uncertain
DeMarco Murray is undergoing Monday surgery to repair a broken band in his left hand, but has yet to be ruled out for Week 16.

Advice: Murray is specifically dealing with a broken fourth metacarpal. The injury is to his non-ball carrying hand. Per reporter Todd Archer, Emmitt Smith suffered a similar injury in his playing days, and missed only one game. It's clearly not a long-term concern, but the Cowboys will be in a world of trouble if they lose to the Colts on Sunday. For now, owners should consider Murray truly day to day. If Murray can't go, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar will form a committee in his absence, with Randle likely handling early downs and Dunbar getting passing work. Even if Murray suits up for Week 16, it's possible he'll be limited. For now, owners can pencil Jones in for the fantasy finals, but his availability should be considered far from a given. Jones' status will be updated no later than Wednesday. Rotoworld.com

    • Torrey Smith plays 52-of-64 snaps in Week 15
Torrey Smith played 52-of-64 (81.25 percent) of the snaps in the Week 15 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: Smith battled a knee sprain in Week 14, which limited him to 15 snaps. He barely practiced ahead of the Jacksonville game and was listed as probable, though some Ravens beat writers believed Smith was closer to doubtful. It didn't end up that way. Smith played his normal snap rate, but did nothing with his three targets, catching just two of them for 16 yards. He dropped the other one and also took a holding penalty. Smith will be fine as a WR2 for Week 16 in Houston. Rotoworld.com

LeSean McCoy rushed 16 times for 64 yards in Sunday night's Week 15 loss to Dallas.

Advice: McCoy got only 17 touches with the Eagles playing from behind most of the game. He had two touchdowns vultured by Chris Polk, and lost a third score to Darren Sproles at the one-yard line. McCoy has managed just 114 yards on 33 carries over the last two weeks. Advice: Both of Murray's touchdowns came at the goal-line, but he was otherwise held in check. Murray wasn't involved in the pass game this week, adding just one catch for three yards. He now needs to average 157 rushing yards over the Cowboys' final two games to reach 2,000 for the season. Murray will be a top-three running back play against the Colts in Week 16. Rotoworld.com

Percy Harvin rushed once for 10 yards and was held without a catch Week 15 against the Titans.

Advice: Harvin did not appear to be bothered by his ankle injury. He looked fine on the 10-yard rush and had a good kickoff return in the third quarter. He could not haul in any of his three targets, though, and was a non-factor all game. Harvin has been inconsistent in his time with the Jets and cannot be trusted as anything more than a WR4 Week 16 against the Patriots. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Although Rivers somehow didn't get sacked, he was under heavy pressure all day and things got even worse when Keenan Allen went down with an ankle injury. It's yet another reminder of how good this Broncos defense can be with Aqib Talib and Chris Harris at corner. Rivers' season has gone in the tank since a red hot first month and a half. Advice: Vereen continued to disappoint as a receiving threat, but surprisingly vultured a three-yard score from LeGarrette Blount in the second quarter. The Pats' ground attack had no rhyme or reason this afternoon, with Jonas Gray getting re-involved and actually leading the team in touches. Advice: Battling a sprained knee, Smith got the start but was targeted just three times. He did more harm than good out there. Near the end of the first half, Smith was whistled for holding then dropped a ball deep down the middle on the next play. Smith could use a week off, but it doesn't appear he'll get one. White worked mostly against CB Antwon Blake, who was filling in for Ike Taylor on Sunday. White's score came from four yards away in the fourth quarter. A.J. Green caught 5-of-11 targets for 49 yards in the Bengals' Week 15 rout of the Browns.

Advice: The quiet day came despite the fact that shutdown Browns CB Joe Haden missed over half the game with a shoulder injury. Green did early work on Haden, and could have had a long touchdown if not for a poorly-thrown ball from Andy Dalton. Dalton was terrible all afternoon, limiting Green's upside on a day where the Bengals ran it down Cleveland's throat. Green will be a low-end WR1 against the Broncos in the fantasy finals. Advice: Kelce was targeted twice on the first drive of the game and was involved in the passing game throughout. His score came on a 20-yard catch in the third quarter. Kelce caught a quick slant at around the 15-yard line and then ran through four Raiders' defenders into the end zone. Advice: He added three rushes for 15 yards. Green Bay unofficially had no explosive plays in the passing game until Aaron Rodgers hit Cobb up the middle off play action for a 20-yard gain midway through the third quarter. Advice: He's now gone over 100 total yards in seven straight games. Amid concerns regarding his Week 14 hip bruise, Lacy got the start and dominated Buffalo's defense in the early going. By the 14:14 mark in the second quarter, he had eight rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Vikings OC Norv Turner admits TE Kyle Rudolph (groin) still isn't 100 percent.

Advice: Norval doesn't expect Rudolph to be back to full health until next season. Rudolph missed Weeks 4-10 after undergoing sports-hernia surgery, and has just seven catches in four games since returning. The No. 43 overall pick of the 2011 draft, Rudolph's career has thus far been an injury-prone disappointment. Rotoworld.com

    • Lacy does 'little to nothing' on Thursday
Eddie Lacy (hip) did "little to nothing" in the portion of Packers practice open to the media on Thursday.

Advice: Lacy's extremely limited participation led reliable beat writer Rob Demovsky to wonder if Lacy's hip issue is "more of an issue than originally thought." It's still quite possible the Pack are simply doing everything they can to limit Lacy's reps on a short week, but it's become a situation that calls for a back-up plan. James Starks would be a plug-and-play FLEX option were Lacy to sit against the Bills. Lacy's status will be updated no later than Friday afternoon. Rotoworld.com

    • Percy Harvin not practicing again Thursday
Percy Harvin (ankle) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.

Advice: Harvin simply caught passes from the JUGS machine off to the side. He insists he plans to play Week 15 against the Titans, but coach Rex Ryan sounded less optimistic on Wednesday. Harvin will have to practice Friday. Rotoworld.com

Roddy White (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: It confirms White didn't have any setbacks in Monday night's loss. With Julio Jones up in the air for Week 15, he could see an increase in targets. White is on the WR2 radar against the Steelers. Rotoworld.com

Percy Harvin (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: Harvin, of course, was injured during his six-catch, 124-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Vikings in Week 14. The Jets have described Harvin's injury as a low-ankle sprain. His status for Week 15 is up in the air. Rotoworld.com

Torrey Smith (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: Smith played through his knee sprain last week, but was limited to 15 snaps. He should be considered questionable for Week 15 against Jacksonville. Kamar Aiken would likely draw the start if Smith is held out. Rotoworld.com

    • Cam Newton (back) released from the hospital
Cam Newton was released from the Carolinas Medical Center on Wednesday morning after spending the night in the hospital following his Tuesday car accident.

Advice: The Panthers are calling Newton day-to-day. He's dealing with general soreness and two fractured transverse processes in his back. Newton is fully expected to sit out Week 15 against the Bucs, leaving Derek Anderson in the saddle as the starter. Anderson completed 24-of-34 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 1 spot start against Tampa Bay. He'll be on the DFS radar at minimum price. Newton has a shot to play Week 16 against Cleveland. Rotoworld.com

    • Roddy White admits he's not 100 percent
Roddy White conceded he's not 100 percent healthy.

Advice: White has been battling an ankle issue the past few weeks, but played 63-of-67 snaps Monday night against the Packers. He'll be in the lineup for Week 15 against the Steelers, and the Falcons may have to lean on him even more if Julio Jones (hip) is unable to play. White will run most of his routes at the left cornerback, which will either be Ike Taylor or Antwon Blake on Sunday. The matchup doesn't get much tastier. White will be on the WR2 radar at the Georgia Dome. Rotoworld.com

The Charlotte Observer reports Cam Newton (back) is likely to miss Week 15.

Advice: "Right now it's all about Cam's well being," were the words of a Panthers spokesman. Newton is dealing with two transverse process fractures in his lower back, an injury that cost Tony Romo a game earlier this season. It's not a long-term issue, but could threaten the rest of Newton's 2014. Rotoworld.com

    • Cowboys not slowing down with Murray
The Cowboys still have no plans to curtail DeMarco Murray's workload.

Advice: Murray is in a walk year, and the Cowboys seem to have no bones about riding him until the wheels fall off. "DeMarco is a guy who has shown he can handle the workload, both as a runner and a receiver," coach Jason Garrett said. "He wants more. He never wants to come out of the game. ... He’s a bell cow player and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down at all to me." For his part, Murray says he feels as good as he has all season despite touching the ball a whopping 41 times in Week 14. Murray needs to average just over 131 yards rushing over the Cowboys' final three games to reach 2,000 for the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Torrey Smith 'long shot' for Week 15
Sports With Coleman reports Torrey Smith (sprained knee) is a "long shot" to suit up for Week 15.

Advice: This isn't a typical Rotoworld source, so take it with a grain of salt. According to Coleman, Smith's knee is "quite sore." It's not surprising considering Smith's knee swelled up before Sunday's game, limiting him to 15 snaps as a decoy. Smith's status will be updated no later than Wednesday afternoon. Rotoworld.com

    • Roddy White goes 3-42-1 in Week 14 return
Roddy White caught three passes for 42 yards and one touchdown in the Falcons' Week 14 loss to the Packers.

Advice: Making his return from an ankle injury, White was targeted five times, while Julio Jones was just destroying the Packers' secondary for an 11-259-1 line on 17 targets. White didn't catch his touchdown until after Jones was forced from the game midway through the fourth quarter with a hip injury. White didn't appear 100 percent himself, but he should be fine for Week 15 against the Steelers. He projects to run most of his routes against LCB Ike Taylor, providing Taylor is healthy after hurting his knee Sunday. Taylor has been beaten like a drum the past two weeks. Rotoworld.com

Randall Cobb caught four passes for 58 yards in the Packers' Week 14 win over the Falcons.

Advice: He was targeted five times, finishing behind both Jordy Nelson (10) and Eddie Lacy (9). Cobb drew mostly slot CB Josh Wilson and RCB Robert McClain in coverage. He didn't have much trouble with them, but Nelson was just dominating on the outside. Cobb should fare much better in Week 15 at Buffalo. Rotoworld.com

Roddy White (ankle) is active for Monday night's Week 14 game against the Packers.

Advice: As expected. White is back in the lineup after sitting out Week 13. He'll be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3, but at least the Falcons should be throwing the ball a lot Monday night. Inactive for the Falcons are CB Robert Alford (wrist), QB Sean Renfree, S Charles Godfrey, LB Tyler Starr, OT Jonathan Scott, DE Stansly Maponga, and LB Justin Anderson. Rotoworld.com

ESPN's Lisa Salters reported Roddy White (questionable, ankle) will be active on Monday Night Football against the Packers.

Advice: This was expected after Roddy practiced on Saturday and essentially guaranteed he will play at Lambeau. Salters also reported Packers RCB Sam Shields (concussion) will play on Monday night. The Packers are whopping 13-point favorites facing the Falcons. White will be a candidate for double-digit targets, particularly if Green Bay jumps out to an early-game lead. Rotoworld.com

Shane Vereen had three catches for 30 yards in the Patriots' Week 14 win over the Chargers.

Advice: He got just one carry behind LeGarrette Blount. Vereen saw a red-zone target in the second quarter, but couldn't come down with the catch. He won't be more than a game-flow dependent RB3 for Week 15 against the Dolphins. Rotoworld.com

    • Philip Rivers struggles in loss to Patriots
Philip Rivers completed 20-of-33 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in Sunday night's Week 14 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: It was another bad game from Rivers, who has a 6:6 TD/INT ratio over the last five weeks. His only touchdown was a 15-yard fade to Malcom Floyd in the corner of the end-zone. The Patriots shut down Keenan Allen with Darrelle Revis, leaving Rivers to check down to Donald Brown and Antonio Gates. Rivers will be just a low-end QB1 for Week 15 against the Broncos.
