Smooth Moves by juan's Team

  • Even the Wright brothers would be proud of this aerial performance. Demaryius Thomas had 29.10 points, the highest WR score of the week and the second-highest WR score in the league this season.
  • Expect to see some trade offers for Tony Romo. He ranked ninth in the league in scoring with 22.66 points.
  • With 15.10 points, Dez Bryant ranked sixth in the league in scoring among WRs this week.
  • Starter Toby Gerhart put up a zero, but juan's Team still won.
  • Apparently playing within themselves was good enough. juan's Team won despite having only 3 of their 9 starters exceed their projected points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Not reading the expert articles from the Hall Of Fame. And if they did, maybe they should pay better attention when they read.
  • This is one of those mistakes that you continuously think about for ten years. Did not start Eli Manning, who scored 23.02 points to rank seventh in the league in scoring.
  • Missed out on an opportunity by leaving the 11.80 points scored by Charles Clay on the bench this week. He outperformed his projected point total by 126.2%, the fourth-highest percentage in the league.
  • It was a season-low scoring total for Matt Ryan, who had 11.82 points. He had a projected total of 16.81 points and this week was the third straight game of underperformance versus his projection.
  • Jason Witten scored the fewest points on the team and scored below his projection for the sixth time this season with 2.70 points against a projected 6.83.

What If

  • juan's Team would be 3-4 if they played Manders's Team every week.
  • juan's Team would have beaten six other teams besides Manders's Team this week.
  • juan's Team would be 3-3 if they played the same schedule as Manders's Team.
  • If juan's Team had played every team in the league each week, they would be 28-35.
  • Manders's Team would have lost to just two other teams besides juan's Team this week.
  • Timing really is everything. juan's Team would have lost to Manders's Team 120.54 - 82.60 had they played each other last week.
  • If they played the same schedule as juan's Team, Manders's Team would be 5-1.
  • If they played every team every week, Manders's Team would be 36-27.

Game Notes

  • Manders's Team has lost four times and three of them have come to teams who beat their scoring average in that matchup.
  • juan's Team bested their projected points again, the fifth time this season they have done so, including a streak of four straight games.
  • Despite playing on the losing team, Matt Forte ranked eighth in the league in scoring with 22.90 points against a projected 17.29 and has now beaten his projection in three straight games.
  • At 4.74 points, the margin of victory was the tightest of the week.
  • C.J. Spiller did little to help juan's Team, underperforming versus projections for the fifth straight game with 5.60 points against a projected 9.36.
  • juan's Team got the best total score from their WRs of any team this week with 46.90 points.
  • Manders's Team falls to 0-3 and remains winless in upset games this season.
  • All of the points for juan's Team this week came from players they drafted.

Fantasy MasterpiecesWeek 7

Rob Bironas TEN - K 2007 vs. Houston 8 field goals, 2 extra points If you started Titans footsmith Rob Bironas in Week 7 of '07, you had the rare luxury of landing one of the top three fantasy performances of that week, regardless of position, with only New England QB Tom Brady and Cincy RB Kenny Watson ahead of him.

It was rare air indeed for kicker fantasy production, but then again, Bironas' eight field goals set an NFL record that still stands. This performance may conjure bitter memories for Browns fans, as Bironas' final field goal with no time left on the clock gave the Titans a 38-36 victory over the Texans. Tennessee would finish the season at 10-6 and made the playoffs by virtue of winning a tiebreaker with, you guessed it, the 10-6 Browns. It was Cleveland's only winning season since '02.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
