  • Colts 'likely' to move on from Andre Johnson
The Indianpolis Star's Zak Keefer considers it "likely" the Colts release Andre Johnson.

Advice: The Colts were lauded for their signing of Johnson last offseason following his release from the division-rival Texans, but apparently Houston knew something most of us didn't; Johnson was done or close to it. Now going on age 35 and coming off a horrific 41-503-4 line, Johnson may be one-and-done in Indy. The Colts can save $5 million against the cap by releasing Johnson. They can move forward with T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief, and Phillip Dorsett. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:13 am

  • Gore says 2015 was toughest season rushing
Frank Gore said the 967 yards he rushed for this past season were the "toughest 967 I got" in his entire career.

Advice: It was the first time in five seasons that Gore failed to reach 1,000 yards. Many will cite Gore's age (33 in May) as the reason for his decline, but the Colts' offensive line was flat-out awful. It nearly got Andrew Luck and Matt Hasselbeck killed in pass protection, and the group opened microscopic holes in the running game. In Football Outsiders' DVOA, the Colts fielded the 27th-ranked run-blocking line. Gore should return as the starter in 2016 and could have a sneaky bounce back if GM Ryan Grigson adds talent up front. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:07 am

  • Ravens not expected to re-sign Chris Givens
The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec doesn't expect the Ravens to re-sign free agent Chris Givens.

Advice: Givens posted a 19-346-1 line across 12 games with the Ravens after coming over in a trade with the Rams. He saw his snaps increase after Steve Smith Sr. tore his Achilles', but the extra work didn't lead to many plays for Givens, who struggles with anything outside of a "go" route. Free agent RB Storm Johnson worked out for the Bengals last week.

Advice: Johnson didn't play in 2015 after he failed to make it out of final cuts with the Jaguars. The 2014 seventh-rounder averaged a pitiful 3.0 YPC on 29 carries as a rookie and was subject of criticism from coach Gus Bradley last spring. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:46 am

  • Mike Wallace not expected back with Vikings
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Matt Vensel doesn't expect Mike Wallace back with the Vikings in 2016.

Advice: At least not at his current $11.5 million cap number. The Vikings can release Wallace with zero dead-money hit on the salary cap, which makes this a complete no-brainer. Wallace posted a 39-473-2 line in his first season in Minnesota. The Vikings will move on with Stefon Diggs and Jarius Wright at the X and slot spots while looking for a big-bodied Z receiver on the outside. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:31 am

  • Stedman Bailey )head) still wants to play
Stedman Bailey (head) still wants to return to playing in the NFL.

Advice: Bailey was shot multiple times in the head back in November while he was in Florida serving a four-game suspension. Doctors have told him he's unlikely to play again, but Bailey has other thoughts. "When somebody tells me that they don't think I can do something, you know I'll do everything that I can to prove them wrong," Bailey said. "And I will be making a return to the NFL." Patriots waived RB Montee Ball.

Advice: Ball wasn't believed to be on the roster, but signed a reserve/future contract on Feb. 1. He was arrested on domestic violence charges last Thursday. Largely out of the league last season, the 2013 second-rounder was reportedly overweight on the Patriots' practice squad. It appears Ball's career could already be over. He turns 26 in December. • More Manziel details emerge
A "well-placed Browns source" tells ESPN's Adam Schefter Johnny Manziel wasn't drunk on Dec. 30, but was "heavily hung over on something."

Advice: "There was something going on there," the source said. Manziel reportedly complained he was having trouble with light, had a headache and was vomiting. "This wasn't some massive cover-up," the source insisted. "What are you going to do? You have to put him in the protocol." The story adds up. • LeSean McCoy would be difficult to release
$2.5 million of LeSean McCoy's $4.8 million salary for 2016 is guaranteed.

Advice: The rest of it becomes guaranteed when the new league year begins on March 9. In other words, the Bills would have little financial incentive to move on from McCoy if he ends up getting charged in his assault case. Cutting McCoy now would create a whopping $10.5 million in dead money, and suck up an additional $5.325 million in cap space. Unless there are new, more explosive details yet to be released, we'd fully expect McCoy to keep his roster spot. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:37 pm

  • Mike Silver clarifies Johnny Manziel report
NFL.com's Mike Silver says he regrets alleging that the Browns "lied" in his initial report, but stands by his assertion that Johnny Manziel showed up to practice "noticeably drunk" on Dec. 30.

Advice: "If the Browns say they did not lie about Manziel's (concussion) diagnosis, I will take them at their word," Silver said. As in, perhaps it's possible the Browns mistook Manziel's drunkenness for a concussion. It's not impossible, but unlikely. The story, while explosive, is largely irrelevant at this point, as Manziel's Browns fate has long been sealed. His NFL future is trending toward "nonexistent." Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:30 pm

Advice: Cotchery had a Super Bowl to forget, arguably dropping three passes including what would have been a critical first-down catch early in the game. Advice: Coming off a torn patellar tendon two seasons ago and a torn calf last season, Cruz has not played an NFL game since October of 2014. There is little chance the Giants will accept a $9.9 million cap hit for a player they cannot rely on to be healthy, but Graziano believes Cruz will be "amenable to a pay cut." • Manziel's ex: He beat & threatened to kill me
According to the police affidavit signed by alleged victim Colleen Crowley, Johnny Manziel beat and threatened to kill Crowley on January 29.

Advice: Manziel's ex-girlfriend, Crowley filed the affidavit as part of a request for a restraining order against Johnny Football. Crowley alleges Manziel hit her so hard he ruptured her eardrum and caused what's so far been permanent hearing loss in Crowley's left ear. Crowley also accuses Manziel of preventing her from leaving a Dallas hotel room and grabbing her by the hair and throwing Crowley into a vehicle. "Shut up or I'll kill us both," Manziel allegedly told Crowley at one point. Manziel and Crowley dated for two years and lived together for four months in Cleveland before the Dallas incident. Jerricho Cotchery caught 2-of-5 targets for 17 yards in the Panthers' Super Bowl loss to Denver.

Advice: Cotchery made the game's first miscue on Carolina's second drive, bobbling away a critical would-be first-down catch with the Panthers backed up against their own goal. Bradley Roby had tight coverage, but ultimately Cotchery dropped another pass on Carolina's very next possession. Free agent RB Montee Ball was arrested Friday morning in Madison, Wisconsin following an altercation with his girlfriend.
