  • Jeremy Maclin posts 4/35/0 line in prime spot
Jeremy Maclin caught 4-of-7 targets for 35 yards in the Chiefs' Week 3 win over the Jets.

Advice: Maclin and the entire passing game was allowed to rest on their laurels with the Jets spinning their wheels in the second half, but Maclin missed a couple opportunities before the break to have a much bigger game. He had a long pass down the right sideline bounce off his shoulder pads, and he failed to get his head around on another long pass down the seam on the next play. Either play would have made his line look a lot better. Despite the mediocre day, Maclin is as solid a WR2 as there is in the game. He should be starting in most leagues against the Steelers next Sunday night. Rotoworld.com 20 minutes ago

  • Seahawks believe Wilson has a sprained MCL
MMQB's Albert Breer reports the Seahawks believe Russell Wilson has a sprained MCL in his left knee.

Advice: It's perhaps more notable that both coach Pete Carroll and Wilson himself expressed confidence after Sunday's win that Wilson will be able to play in Week 4 against the Jets. NBC's Mike Florio reported Wilson will undergo an MRI on Sunday night to determine the full extent of the damage. Wilson insisted he "doesn't think the knee injury is as serious as it looked." • Tyler Lockett goes catch-less in Week 3 win
Tyler Lockett was not targeted in the Seahawks' Week 3 win over San Francisco.

Advice: Lockett entered this game listed as questionable with a knee injury, but his health was not an issue. He returned a punt 62 yards and nearly took it to the house, but simply wasn't a big part of the passing game on a day where Doug Baldwin (8-164-1) and Jimmy Graham (6-100-1) did the heavy lifting. Lockett will continue to be a volatile fantasy option in the Seahawks' offense. His yardage totals through three games are 17, 99, and 0. Rotoworld.com 32 minutes ago

  • Hilton goes off for 8-174 and game-winning TD
T.Y. Hilton caught 8-of-11 targets for 174 yards and one touchdown in the Colts' 26-22, Week 3 win over the Chargers.

Advice: Hilton did battle against Chargers rising star CB Jason Verrett for much of the day, but got the better of him when all was said and done. Hilton made a slick grab deep down the sideline with Verrett draped on him in the third quarter, and then accounted for the game-winning 63-yard score late in the fourth quarter, running right by the defense down the middle. The knee "injury" that had Hilton listed questionable proved to be a non-issue. Hilton will be a WR1/2 next week when the Colts travel to London to face the Jaguars. Rotoworld.com 33 minutes ago

  • Carroll confirms knee sprain for Russ Wilson
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed after Sunday's win that Russell Wilson has a sprained knee.

Advice: The left leg injury originally appeared to be to Wilson's ankle, but it turned out to be to Wilson's knee, on which a brace was placed by trainers on the sideline. The fact that Wilson kept his helmet on and was lobbying to reenter on Sunday suggests he fully intends to play in Week 4 against the Jets. "Most likely he's going to be fine," coach Pete Carroll conceded. "Because that's just how he operates." On the off chance Wilson can't get clearance, UDFA Trevone Boykin would make the start. Advice: Jeffery was fully expected to play after returning to practice Friday. Even with Jay Cutler missing his second week, he's a low-end WR1. • Russell Wilson leaves game with injured leg
Russell Wilson exited Sunday's Week 3 game against the 49ers with a left ankle or knee injury.

Advice: Wilson came into the game battling a high ankle sprain to his right leg. On a third-quarter play, Wilson appeared to injure his left knee and/or ankle and was fitted for a brace by trainers on the sideline. Trevone Boykin has entered. We did notice Wilson standing on the sideline with his helmet still on, but it would be silly for the Seahawks to let him back in up 27-3. FOX's Pam Oliver later reported Wilson's day is "done." Duke Johnson rushed 10 times for 69 yards and caught 5-of-7 targets for 12 yards in the Browns' Week 3 loss to Miami.

Advice: With Cody Kessler starting, the Browns went with a run-heavy gamescript. The 10 carries were a season high, and Johnson was more effective than Isaiah Crowell (15 carries, 79 yards). Johnson should remain involved in the offense at least until Josh McCown returns in 1-3 weeks. He's a low-end FLEX for Week 4. Rotoworld.com Today, 2:24 pm

Advice: The Cardinals tried numerous deep shots to Floyd early in the game, but connected on none of them and wound up trying to nickel and dime Buffalo's defense underneath, which didn't work. Floyd scored a touchdown in Week 2 and has gone over 60 yards in his other two games, but he has been a disappointment in fantasy early in the season. • Allen Hurns limited to 40 yards in Week 3
Allen Hurns secured four-of-eight targets for 40 yards Sunday in the Jaguars' Week 3 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Hurns didn’t see his first target until the second quarter as the Jaguars’ passing game took a while to get going. He came close to reeling in a long completion that would have set Jacksonville up with a first-and-goal but Eric Weddle swatted it away at the last second. Hurns is still seeing a steady diet of targets but it’s a little bit of a red flag that he hasn’t scored yet this year. He’ll look to end his touchdown drought next week against the Colts. • Tannehill throws 3 TDs in OT win over Browns
Ryan Tannehill completed 25-of-39 passes for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in Miami's Week 3 overtime win over the Browns.

Advice: Tanehill didn't play to his stat line, throwing an interception on the opening drive and a pick-six later in the first half. He also took eight sacks and lost a fumble at the end of the fourth quarter, but the Browns missed the game-winning field goal. Tannehill shredded a Joe Haden-less secondary when he had time, getting all of Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, and Kenny Stills involved. • Matthew Stafford tosses three scores in loss
Matthew Stafford completed 28-of-41 passes for 385 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the Lions' Week 3 loss to the Packers.

Advice: Stafford played well in this game, but the Lions' defense was simply played off the field in the first half. Stafford's interception was actually a fumble by Eric Ebron, but the tight end provided a great target for Stafford across the middle all game. The real star was Marvin Jones, however, who found open space down the right side almost at will. Stafford connected with him late in the first half for a 73-yard touchdown, and he found him for a 35-yard touchdown to make it a one-score game late in the fourth quarter. The offense never saw the ball again. Stafford now has seven touchdowns through three games and gets the Bears' banged-up defense next week. He will be a solid QB1 in that matchup. • Crabtree goes 8-102 line on 11 targets in win
Michael Crabtree caught 8-of-11 targets for 102 yards in the Raiders' Week 3 win over the Titans.

Advice: The 11 targets were two more than Amari Cooper to lead the team. Crabtree posted a meager 4-18 line in the first half, but became Derek Carr's go-to guy after the break and methodically torched the Titans with several nifty grabs. His long catch of 31 yards came on a play Carr avoided three rushers and heaved a ball to midfield where Crabtree leaped up to nab it, losing his helmet at the same time. He had another big catch on third-and-long in the fourth quarter, tapping his toes at the sideline. Crabtree is as reliable a WR3 there is heading into Week 4 at Baltimore. Advice: Fantasy owners got a mild scare when Jeffery was held out of Thursday's practice, but he returned to a limited session Friday and should be loaded into fantasy lineups. • T.Y. Hilton (knee) gets in limited practice
T.Y. Hilton was added to the Colts' injury report Thursday, getting in a limited practice with a knee issue.

Advice: A similar move caused alarm last week, but it turns out this is just going to be Hilton's ritual for the time being. Hilton was actually held out last Thursday before ultimately starting against the Broncos. He's a solid WR2 for a decent matchup with the Chargers. Jason Verrett is unlikely to follow Hilton into the slot. Daily Slant: Hilton is second in targets (23) and tied for fourth in red-zone targets (4) in the early going, which sets him up for a huge afternoon against the Chargers. He's going to avoid Verrett while he's lined up in the slot, and with Donte Moncrief out there is little reason to expect his target total to drop. It's unknown when Jeffery suffered his latest "injury." No player in the league gets listed with more random practice ailments. It's possibly just gamesmanship on the part of the Bears. Advice: It sounds like Monday's MRI revealed a severe strain at least and a possible tear at worst. Either way, three weeks is a long time after Martin claimed his hammy was only mildly tweaked in Sunday's blowout loss to Arizona. It's certainly possible the injury winds up hindering Martin all season. The Bucs have a brutal schedule forthcoming but new lead back Charles Sims' all-purpose ability will stabilize his floor. • Jeffery posts 5-96 line in MNF loss to Eagles
Alshon Jeffery caught 5-of-7 targets for 96 yards in the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Eagles.

Advice: Jeffery led the Bears in targets, but once again the ball was spread around like it was in the season opener. With Kevin White and Eddie Royal back healthy after missing much of last season, Jeffery doesn't appear to have a dominant market share on the targets in Chicago. He still was easily the best offensive player on the field for the Bears, setting up their lone offensive touchdown with a 49-yard catch on a double-move past rookie CB Jalen Mills. He also drew a DPI penalty in the end zone two plays later. Jeffery remains a WR1, but it would be nice to see him back in the 10-12 targets range. He's seen just 13 through two games. Advice: Crabtree's yardage total was a bit disappointing on a day where Derek Carr threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns, but fantasy owners can always hang their hats on Crabtree's red-zone usage. Carr proactively looked for Crabtree in scoring position all last season and is doing it again this year, hitting him for the game-winning two-point conversion in Week 1 at New Orleans and for a short score in Sunday's loss. • Russell Wilson doesn't lead TD drive vs. Rams
Russell Wilson completed 22-of-35 passes for 254 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions in the Seahawks' 9-3, Week 2 loss to the Rams.

Advice: He rushed for 14 yards on five attempts, but Wilson was clearly limited by his ankle injury. Wilson had his ankles heavily taped, and FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Wilson is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. Wilson delivered a couple good deep balls to Tyler Lockett, picking up 35 and 53 yards on them, but that was about it. The Rams' front four was living in the Seahawks' backfield most of the afternoon, sacking Wilson two times and hitting him a number of times. Wilson will look to get his season on the right track next week at home against the 49ers. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 4:23 pm

  • Devin Funchess scores late touchdown
Devin Funchess caught 2-of-4 targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the 49ers.

Advice: Funchess wasn't involved until late in the game. He scored a garbage-time touchdown against 49ers SS Antoine Bethea. Funchess was targeted behind Kevin Benjamin (9), Greg Olsen (8), and Corey Brown (6). He has just three catches through the first two games. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 2:44 pm

  • Stafford has multiple TDs negated by penalty
Matthew Stafford completed 22-of-40 passes for 260 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Lions' Week 2 loss to Tennessee.

Advice: He did rush twice for 31 yards. The interception was just Stafford's third in the Jim Bob Cooter era. Stafford played well for the most part, but the Lions struggled mightily to convert in the red zone and he had multiple touchdowns negated by penalty, including would-be TDs to Anquan Boldin and Eric Ebron. Stafford gets a tougher Week 3 draw at Lambeau Field, where he will be more of a fringe QB1 play in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 2:43 pm

  • Duke Johnson totals 56 yards in Week 2 loss
Duke Johnson rushed three times for 12 yards and caught 4-of-5 targets for 44 yards in the Browns' Week 2 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Johnson did the bulk of his damage on dump-offs from Josh McCown. He hasn't been much of a factor as a runner with Isaiah Crowell handling those duties. Johnson is only on the flex map in PPR leagues. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 2:28 pm

  • Tannehill throws for 389 yards in odd game
Ryan Tannehill completed 32-of-45 passes for 389 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Miami's 31-24, Week 2 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: He added six carries for 35 additional yards. 20 minutes into the game, Tannehill was 1-for-4 for four yards. At one point in the second half, he was 20-for-21, with the incompletion being a throwaway. We got the full Tannehill experience, including piling up yardage after the opposing team eased off the throttle. The Pats entered halftime up 24-3, and understandably laid back a bit after the break. Odd game flow or not, Tannehill worked his connection with Jarvis Landry to perfection, and seemed on the same page with sophomore playmaker DeVante Parker. Tannehill will be a top-15 Week 3 play against the Browns' barely-there defense. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 1:35 pm

  • Russell Wilson dealing with high ankle sprain
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "sources originally believed" Russell Wilson would miss multiple games with his high ankle sprain.

Advice: According to RapSheet, "diligent rehab" allowed Wilson to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game in Los Angeles. RapSheet reports Wilson's foot was in a boot and in ice last Sunday night, he was jogging by Tuesday, and ultimately underwent "round-clock rehab" in order to play Sunday. It sounds like Wilson indeed had a legitimate injury that could compromise some of his mobility. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 9:27 am

  • Russell Wilson (ankle) will be active for Week 2
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Russell Wilson (ankle) will play against the Rams in Week 2.

Advice: Wilson suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Dolphins last Sunday but was a full participant at practice this week. Schefter said Wilson's "movement could be hindered," a sentiment shared by others including ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia. That limits his potential for rushing yards, though Schefter heard from a source that Wilson is "doing great." He can be safely employed as a QB1 against a Rams squad coming off a dismal effort in San Francisco. Rotoworld.com Sep 18, 5:21 am

  • Doug Martin could see more time in hurry-up
WFLA’s Roy Cummings thinks Doug Martin could become a bigger part of the Bucs’ two-minute offense.

Advice: Charles Sims has dominated hurry-up work to this point. Martin isn’t much of a dropoff from Sims, and his five catches in Week 1 could get him more pass-game snaps. Martin forced a league high seven missed tackles despite averaging 3.4 YPC last week. He’s a low-end RB1 for Sunday’s Cardinals matchup. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 1:14 pm

  • Wilson to run less, stay in pocket Week 2?
ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia believes Russell Wilson (ankle) will see fewer designed runs and stay in the pocket more Week 2 against the Rams.

Advice: Wilson was a full participant all week in practice and was not even listed on the final injury report, but Kapadia still believes the Seahawks will tweak the offense to account for his ankle injury. Kapadia expects Seattle to use fewer read-options and bootlegs with Wilson more hesitant to scramble. All of that could be true entering the game, but the Rams were just shredded on the ground by Blaine Gabbert. Wilson's floor is not as high this week, but his ceiling is among the best in the league. He is still a locked-in QB1 and a good GPP play with people worried about the ankle. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 9:14 am

  • Jeremy Maclin back at practice Friday
Jeremy Maclin (not injury-related) returned to practice Friday.

Advice: He's good to go for Week 2 against the Texans as a WR3. The Texans mostly held Maclin in check both meetings last season, limiting him to receiving lines of 5-52-0 and 3-29-0. Maclin should still see 7-9 targets. Rotoworld.com Sep 16, 10:03 am

  • T.Y. Hilton (knee) back at practice on Friday
T.Y. Hilton (knee) returned to practice Friday.

Advice: After being added to the injury report Thursday and sitting out practice, it's a good sign for Hilton's Week 2 status that he's back on the field Friday. This is a tough date against the Broncos, but Hilton is still in the WR2/3 mix. Rotoworld.com Sep 16, 8:20 am

  • Maclin's missed practice not injury-related
Jeremy Maclin's missed Thursday practice was not injury-related.

Advice: Even if Maclin doesn't practice Friday, he'll be playing on Sunday. Maclin is shaping up as a lower-end WR2 against the Texans. Rotoworld.com Sep 15, 2:21 pm

  • T.Y. Hilton misses practice with knee issue
T.Y. Hilton was added to the Colts' injury report on Thursday, missing practice with a knee issue.

Advice: It's concerning on two fronts, as Hilton wasn't on Wednesday's injury report and was "DNP" instead of "limited." Typically players who get hurt mid-practice are listed as limited. Perhaps it was simply a maintenance day for a previously-undisclosed minor issue, but Hilton owners can't take his Week 2 status for granted until we get an update. That might not come until Friday. • Jeremy Maclin absent from Thursday's practice
Jeremy Maclin was absent from Thursday's practice.

Advice: It appears it was just a day of rest, but we might not get official word until the Chiefs' injury comes out. For now, owners can keep Maclin locked into their lineups. Rotoworld.com Sep 15, 11:41 am
