  • Report: Teams calling about Nate Washington
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports teams have been calling the Titans about Nate Washington's availability.

Advice: This unofficially translates to, "We, the Titans, would love to trade Nate Washington." Already demoted in favor of Justin Hunter, Washington is just taking up roster and cap space on Tennessee's 53, and could probably be had for a conditional seventh-round pick. Unfortunately for the Titans, Washington has a guaranteed $4.8 million base salary and isn't worth half that much. They'd be lucky to get a bag of punctured footballs for him. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Harvin will return kickoffs and possibly punts, but he doesn't know OC Marty Mornhinweg's offense. The Jets will have a couple packages for Harvin on offense, but he's unlikely to play more than 25-30 snaps. It may take a few weeks before Harvin becomes usable in fantasy lineups. • Defenses pressing Keenan Allen more in '14
The Chargers say defenses are using more press-coverage against Keenan Allen in 2014, leading to his disappointing start to the season.

Advice: "People, they aren't stupid," WRs coach Fred Graves said. "They're not just going to let him run free. They're going to take some things away." Allen has a team-high 34 catches, but has turned them into just 354 scoreless yards. His YAC per reception is down from 6.0 to 2.9 this season. • Giants to use Randle in slot more rest of year
Giants WRs coach Sean Ryan said the team plans to use Rueben Randle in the slot more over the final nine weeks of the season with Victor Cruz (knee) done for the year.

Advice: "The other guy that can do certain things in the slot for us is Reuben because he's smart and he's a big target in the middle of the field," Ryan said. Randle is averaging nearly 10 targets per game the past five weeks, and is the No. 23 overall PPR-scoring wide receiver over the past six. Getting him in the slot is just another way to get the ball in his hands. At 6'3/210, he's a mismatch for smaller nickel corners. Randle has picked up his play and put himself into WR2 consideration. Jets signed WR Jeremy Kerley to a four-year, $16 million extension through 2018.

Advice: The deal includes $5.4 million guaranteed. It's a lot of money for a run-of-the-mill slot man. The timing is odd, as the Jets just acquired Percy Harvin, and Kerley is mired in an underwhelming season. Kerley was heading into the final year of his rookie contract, however. The deal almost certainly doesn't include any guaranteed money beyond 2015. The Jets now have each of Kerley, Harvin and Eric Decker signed through 2018. The injury sounds like some kind of minor sprain that the Colts might exercise caution with. Hakeem Nicks projects to slide into an every-down role opposite T.Y. Andre Johnson caught five passes for 77 yards in the Texans' Week 7 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.

Advice: Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins each saw a team-high nine targets. There was nothing special about Johnson's night. His biggest play was a 24-yard grab on a deep in route in front of the safeties. Johnson has just one touchdown on the season. He could have had another on Monday if Ryan Fitzpatrick would have hit him in stride on a corner route in the end zone. But Fitzpatrick overshot Johnson, who had a step on the defensive back. Advice: Watkins was matched up with Xavier Rhodes for most of the game, but beat Captain Munnerlyn for one of his touchdowns. He scored on a two-yard pass from Kyle Orton to give the Bills a win on the final play of the game. After being held in check by Darrelle Revis last week, Watkins was targeted 14 times and back to being the clear featured receiver. Watkins will be on the WR2 radar for Week 8 against the Jets. • Reggie Wayne looks old against Bengals
Reggie Wayne caught four passes for 15 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Bengals.

Advice: Frankly, Wayne is a 35-year-old guy coming off an ACL tear. He looked like he was running with a sack of potatoes on his back the one time he got in the open field and uncharacteristically dropped a couple balls. Wayne remains a WR3 because of volume (9.2 targets per day over the last four weeks), but there's not much upside in a player that can't run and runs only possession routes. Rotoworld.com

  • Shoelace sparks Jaguars: 22-127-1 in victory
Denard "Shoelace" Robinson gave the Jaguars a running game in Sunday's Week 7 victory, rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in Jacksonville's win over Cleveland.

Advice: Looking like a legitimate running back, the converted Michigan quarterback mixed chain-moving gains with explosive runs on the perimeter. He handled the 22 touches compared to Storm Johnson's six, and Jordan Todman's one. "Shoelace" should remain Jacksonville's lead back until further notice, even when Toby Gerhart (foot) returns. The Jaguars will face the Dolphins' stout run defense next. Robinson is worth owning in all leagues, but is likely to struggle on the ground against Miami. Rotoworld.com

Julio Jones secured 5-of-8 targets for 56 yards in the Falcons' Week 7 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: The Ravens made it a point to make Atlanta play without Julio, forcing Matt Ryan to feed Roddy White a game-high 15 targets. Struggling through ankle and foot injuries hasn't helped, but Julio remains a huge part of the Falcons' offense, and hasn't suddenly evaporated from WR1 discussion. Jackson has a $10 million non-guaranteed base salary, and a $9.8 million non-guaranteed base salary in 2015. If the Buccaneers traded away Jackson, they could move forward with Mike Evans as Mike Glennon's No. 1 receiver. V-Jax turns 32 in January. We suspect he could be had for a third-round pick. Advice: This confirms an initial report from The Sideline View's Lance Zierlein. A source also tells the Seattle Times that Harvin had an altercation with Doug Baldwin in August that resulted in Baldwin getting a cut on his chin. A final straw was reportedly Harvin balking about going back into last week's game against Dallas, possibly angry over not being used more early on. • Seahawks had been shopping Harvin for weeks
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks had been shopping Percy Harvin for weeks.

Advice: Multiple reports suggest Harvin's "anger management issues" led to his trade to the Jets. For the Seahawks, moving on from his contract gets them out of what's left on his $11 million base salary. Harvin has no guaranteed money beyond this year and would have been a release-candidate after the season regardless. It's still an admission of failure from Seattle after they gave up first- and seventh-round picks last year, and a 2014 third-rounder for Harvin. • Jets acquire Percy Harvin for mid-round pick
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Seahawks have traded Percy Harvin to the Jets for a conditional pick.

Advice: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds that the compensation is expected to be a mid-round pick. The timing of the trade is surprising, as Harvin is currently dealing with a thigh injury and was listed as questionable this week. The moves leaves the Seahawks with just Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse as their top two receivers, while Jets GM John Idzik is using his Seattle ties in an attempt to upgrade Geno Smith's supporting cast. Harvin had just one game over 50 receiving yards this season and reportedly "wasn't viewed as a fit." With Harvin gone, rookie Paul Richardson is a candidate for an expanded role.
