SnakeBite picked up 25.80 points from Eddie Lacy and 19.76 from Aaron Rodgers, clobbering Zach's Team 83.96 to 50.04. These two teams are tied for sixth place with 5-7 records, but it doesn't tell the whole story, as SnakeBite has a clear points lead, 1,167.30 to 857.98. This win served Zach's Team a cold dish of revenge after they won a Week 3 matchup, 87.50 to 69.68. To make matters worse, Zach's Team had several starters score zero points.

    Smooth Moves by SnakeBite

    • One of these days the prognosticators will give Eddie Lacy his due props. He ranked sixth in the league in scoring with 25.80 points against a projected 13.02 and has now overachieved in five straight games.
    • SnakeBite was still able to pull out a win with only 2 of their 9 starters exceeding their projected points.
    • Quarterbacks get the blame when the team loses and the glory when the team wins. With 19.76 points, Aaron Rodgers had the fifth-highest score of any QB in the league this week and earned his praise.
    • In scoring 12.00 points, Josh Gordon put up his largest point total of the year.

    Toyota Roster Tune-up

    • Zach's Team should have scored more than 83.96 in order to win. That's Hall Of Fame level insight.
    • Zach's Team left the 19.70 points scored by Anquan Boldin on the bench this week. He beat his projected point total by 144.4%, the fourth-highest percentage in the league.
    • This is how people lose everything in casinos. Zach's Team thought their luck would change and went back to the well with Robert Griffin III. However, he scored 3.34 points against a projected 15.84 and has now underachieved in three straight games.
    • A heated blanket would be a great gift for Cordarrelle Patterson during this cold streak. He scored below his projection in three straight games after scoring 1.80 points against a projected 7.21 this week.
    • Zach's Team had 3 of their 9 starters score zero points.

    What If

    • If SnakeBite played Zach's Team every week, they would be 10-2 this season.
    • Besides Zach's Team, SnakeBite would have defeated four other teams this week.
    • Were they resting their players for this week? SnakeBite would have defeated Zach's Team 102.04 - 89.38 had they played each other last week.
    • SnakeBite would be 6-4 if they played the same schedule as Zach's Team.
    • If SnakeBite had played every team in the league each week, they would be 66-42.
    • Zach's Team would have been beaten by every other team in the league this week.
    • Zach's Team would be 3-7 if they played the same schedule as SnakeBite.
    • Zach's Team would be 30-78 if they played every team every week.

    Game Notes

    • The 83.96 points by SnakeBite was their lowest winning score of the season.
    • Zach's Team had the league's lowest score of the week for the third time this season.
    • SnakeBite covered the 28.30-point spread, winning by 33.92 points.
    • The WRs on Zach's Team collectively had their worst week of the season with only 1.80 points.
    • SnakeBite beat Zach's Team at the top, with two of their starters outscoring the leading point-getter for Zach's Team.
    • Just because Robert Horry has seven NBA championship rings, doesn't mean he's one of the greats. Despite being on the winning team, Sammy Watkins scored 3.50 points against a projected 10.41 and has now underachieved in three straight games.
    • Not going to name names, but some people here aren't pulling their weight. Forget it, Andre Ellington needs to step it up! He scored 6.30 points against a projected 11.82 in the win, and has now scored below his projection in three straight games.
    • Zach's Team remains winless in blowout games this season, falling to 0-5.

Fred Taylor JAC - RB 2000 vs. Pittsburgh 33 touches, 248 total yards, 4 TDs Fred Taylor earned the nickname "Fragile" because of the frequency of which he would land on the NFL injury report.

But when he was healthy, he was a sight to behold. And the pinnacle of his career was in Week 12 of '12, when he rolled up the Pittsburgh defense for 248 yards and four touchdowns. For fantasy owners, it was an amazing time to own the Jacksonville back. After sitting out the first three games of that season (we mentioned that he was fragile, right?), he returned to post modest numbers in his his three games back in the lineup. But his 10 game run to close out the '00 campaign is the stuff of legend. From Weeks 7-16, Taylor went straight games with at least 100 rushing yards. And over the final seven games of the season, he amassed a whopping 13 TDs, including a hat trick+1 in Week 12 and another hat trick (and 181 rushing yards) two weeks later.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
