    • Report: Logan Thomas already benched
The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals have decided to bench Logan Thomas, and will go with Ryan Lindley for Sunday's finale against the 49ers.

Advice: Thomas' tenure under center is over before it even began. Per AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban, the decision comes after the fourth-round rookie was "seriously shaky" in practice. It's a bit of a surprise after Lindley was an utter nightmare in last week's loss, but coach Bruce Arians must have been confident Thomas would be even worse. It's still possible Thomas could see action off the bench. The Cardinals will be in major trouble if Drew Stanton (knee) isn't ready for the postseason. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Cardinals going back to Ryan Lindley
The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals have decided to go back to Ryan Lindley for Sunday's finale against the 49ers.

Advice: According to AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban, the decision comes after Logan Thomas got off to a "seriously shaky start at practice." It must have been as shaky as you can get, as Lindley appeared completely overwhelmed in Arizona's Week 16 loss to the Seahawks. Things won't be much easier against a 49ers team that will likely be going to bat for coach Jim Harbaugh in what is expected to be his final game at the helm. The news has little effect on the rest of Arizona's skill players, as the offense was going to be a disaster either way. Lindley can be completely ignored in DFS leagues for Week 17. Rotoworld.com

Advice: On Tuesday night, Arians said Thomas will at least play the first half. Now he's not even guaranteeing that. The bottom line is that the very raw Thomas will be on an extremely short leash and his range of production is vast. Even at minimum price on some DFS sites, it's very hard to trust Thomas in this spot. Rotoworld.com

    • Kelly to evaluate Foles this offseason
Speaking Wednesday, coach Chip Kelly declined to give Nick Foles a full endorsement.

Advice: Kelly said he'll go through a long evaluation process on all his players, including Foles. He's not going to name him his starter even though Foles is 14-4 over his last 18 starts under Kelly. That's because he was shaky this season, turning the ball over 13 times in just over seven games and completing 59.8 percent of his passes. The problem for the Eagles is that they're unlikely to find serious competition for Foles unless they mortgage their future to move up in the draft for Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. Foles, heading into the final year of his rookie contract, is the heavy favorite to open 2015 as the Eagles' starting quarterback. Rotoworld.com

He scored his four-yard touchdown on a quick slant out of a trips set to the left. His second touchdown came from five yards away. Mike Wallace secured 5-of-5 targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins' Week 16 win over the Vikings.

Advice: For the second straight week, the Vikings used Xavier Rhodes to shadow the enemy No. 1 receiver. Rhodes shut down Calvin Johnson in Week 15 and mostly handled Wallace in this one. The only first-half reception made by Wallace came on a slot route against Vikings slot CB Captain Munnerlyn for a gain of ten. Wallace did get loose for a third-quarter touchdown from 16 yards out, running away from the Vikings' defense. He scored again in the fourth quarter on a seven-yard reception. Advice: Bell was benched for the entire first quarter due to some kind of team rules violation. But it was business as usual after he got his first snap with 12:36 left in the second quarter. Bell was the feature back, hogging clock-killing and red-zone work even though Reggie Bush was looking extremely spry. Emmanuel Sanders (illness) is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Advice: Sanders missed practice on Saturday with flu-like symptoms. The Broncos don’t play until Monday night, so he'll have two days to get healthy. Sanders will be a WR2 for the fantasy finals. Rotoworld.com

    • Emmanuel Sanders misses practice with flu
Emmanuel Sanders missed Broncos' practice on Saturday with flu-like symptoms.

Advice: Sanders was reportedly feeling under the weather on Friday and will be given Saturday off to rest. The Denver Post's Troy Renck said there is "no reason to think he won't play." With Peyton Manning struggling, Sanders has seen his production tail off in the last two games. Under the weather and against a solid Bengals secondary, Sanders will be a risky WR2 for the fantasy championships. Rotoworld.com

    • Lions admit Joique Bell is No. 1 running back
Lions OC Joe Lombardi conceded Joique Bell is the team's No. 1 running back, ahead of Reggie Bush.

Advice: It would be difficult to claim anything else. Bell has 33 carries to Bush's 11 over the last two weeks and has out-touched Bush 42-16 over that span. Bell has at least 10 carries in 12-of-13 games this season. Bush has managed that feat just twice. Bell is the clear lead back and is a good bet for 20 touches against a leaky Bears' defense. He is a solid RB2 in championship week. Rotoworld.com

Dwayne Bowe (illness, questionable) didn't practice all week, but is expected to play Sunday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: Coach Andy Reid said he's planning on having Bowe out there against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is without SS Troy Polamalu and LCB Ike Taylor. If Bowe were ever going to score a touchdown, this week is as good a bet as any. Rotoworld.com

Despite Drew Stanton's (knee) "limited" return to practice, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians confirmed Friday that Ryan Lindley will start at quarterback in Week 16 against the Seahawks.

Advice: Lindley has been beyond horrendous any time he's taken the field in his three-year career. Seattle's fantasy defense should be fired up with excitement. Rotoworld.com

Jamaal Charles (knee, ankle) was upgraded to "full" on Thursday.

Advice: Charles is banged up, but he's proven effective at playing through minor injuries. He's locked in as a top-three RB1 against the Steelers' soft defense. Coach Andy Reid often loses the plot, but we expect him to feed Charles in a game the Chiefs have to win. Rotoworld.com

Julius Thomas (ankle) is practicing in full for Week 16.

Advice: It's an upgrade on Week 15, where Orange Julius began the week as "limited." The Broncos have hoodwinked fantasy owners in back-to-back games with Thomas' health, but he finally, truly appears ready to be full go. Thomas is a mid-range TE1 for the fantasy finals. Rotoworld.com

Kyle Rudolph (ankle, knee) remained sidelined Thursday.

Advice: Rudolph is beginning to look shaky for Sunday's trip to Miami. Rudolph is coming off his first effective game of 2014, but will be difficult to trust as a TE2 at far less than 100 percent health. Rudolph has admitted his groin remains an issue in addition to his knee and ankle ailments. Chase Ford will start at tight end if Rudolph sits in South Beach. Rotoworld.com

Advice: He was officially limited. Douglas has routinely been sitting out Wednesdays this season. Advice: He missed two months of action. Rudolph has played the past five games and set season-bests in catches (7) and yards (69) last week against the Lions. • Gruden's RGIII comments softer in context
Redskins coach Jay Gruden's Tuesday comments about Robert Griffin III come across much softer in context.

Advice: "(It's) important for us to try to have some success on first and second down so we don’t have to drop back and throw it 30 times a game," Gruden said. "(When) you get behind, you get in third down, you get behind the chains, those have to be accomplished — the drop-back reads and progressions have to be accomplished, and that’s something we’re fighting through right now." Gruden's comments are non-controversial when taken in their full form, but came across as inflammatory in a series of tweets from the conference call. It took hours for the comments to be presented in their proper context. Regardless of today's brouhaha, Gruden is clearly not RGIII's No. 1 fan. It's hard to see the two coexisting for 2015. • Jay Gruden again slams Robert Griffin III
Speaking Tuesday, coach Jay Gruden said it's important for the Redskins to get an early lead in Saturday's game against the Eagles so they can limit Robert Griffin III's dropbacks and reading of the defense.

Advice: Gruden might as well have just come out and said he thinks RGIII stinks. Gruden also said Griffin needs to "get up quicker," and "avoid awkward hits and falls." He wants RGIII to be "more savvy." Gruden hates the way RGIII plays quarterback, and he's making sure he gets it on the public record before the offseason. Grudes has supposedly been told he'll be back for 2015, so it's seeming safer and safer to assume Griffin is a goner in Washington. Rotoworld.com

FOX Philadelphia's Howard Eskin reports Nick Foles' collarbone is just 70 percent healed.

Advice: Eskin's report has been seconded by FOX Sports' Mike Garofolo. It means there's no way Foles will return before the end of the regular season, and that he'll likely be questionable for a potential Wild Card appearance. The Eagles' hopes of a division championship are pinned to the scattershot arm and decision-making of Mark Sanchez. Rotoworld.com

    • Pierre Thomas totals 94 yards in MNF win
Pierre Thomas caught five passes for 83 and rushed for 11 yards on two carries in the Saints' Week 15 win over the Bears.

Advice: The PT Cruiser has always seemed to have good games against the Bears, and it was no different n Monday night. On his first touch of the game, Thomas caught a simple screen pass and ripped off 39 yards. The Saints killed the Bears defense with screens the entire first half. Thomas isn't much of a threat as a runner, which leaves him as a hit-or-miss RB3, but he gets a good matchup in Week 16 against Atlanta. Thomas totaled 89 yards on 13 touches against the Falcons in Week 1. Rotoworld.com

The Redskins plan to start Robert Griffin III for Saturday's game against the Eagles.

Advice: Colt McCoy (neck) is expected to be inactive, meaning RGIII is getting the call over Kirk Cousins. Although he accounted for only one touchdown and took seven sacks, RGIII had arguably his best game of the season on Sunday, accounting for 282 total yards while averaging 8.74 yards per attempt. He would have had a second score if not for the NFL's draconian possession rules. Although Griffin has proven impossible to trust under coach Jay Gruden, he'll be an intriguing streamer against the Eagles' lousy pass defense. Rotoworld.com

    • Ryan Lindley named Cardinals' Week 16 starter
Ryan Lindley will be the Cardinals' Week 16 starter at quarterback.

Advice: Lindley's four games of starting experience earn him the nod over fourth-round rookie Logan Thomas. However, coach Bruce Arians continues to insist he'll install a "package" of plays for Thomas against the Seahawks. It makes essentially no difference who gets the call against Seattle. Arians' job will be to put as little as possible on Lindley's plate. Depending on how the game unfolds, Lindley could easily be benched for Thomas. Things are highly likely to get ugly for the 11-3 Cardinals. Rotoworld.com

Coach Chip Kelly announced Nick Foles (collarbone) has already been ruled out for Week 16 against the Redskins.

Advice: A Week 16 return was always viewed as a best-case scenario for Foles. Mark Sanchez will get at least one more start and will look to take advantage of a suspect Redskins pass defense that has been torched by anyone and everyone in 2014. Matt Barkley isn't an option. Julius Thomas played 29-of-66 (43.9 percent) of the offensive snaps in the Week 15 win over the Chargers.

Advice: Thomas saw an uptick in snaps from Week 14, but he was still extremely limited. He was used in surefire passing situations and in the red zone, posting a 1-30 receiving line on two targets. Virgil Green handled 50 snaps. Thomas has proven to be impossible to trust the past two weeks. We're going to have to see a full practice week from him to feel comfortable using him as a TE1 in Week 16. Rotoworld.com
