    • Meeting with Dallas Wednesday
Elliott's agent is meeting with the Cowboys in Dallas on Wednesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.

Advice: This isn't the first time the two sides have been connected this offseason, as ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported last month that there was mutual interest in a reunion. The Cowboys lost Tony Pollard to the Titans in free agency and only added end-of-roster types Royce Freeman and Snoop Conner to a depth chart that includes Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis. Elliott played in all 17 games for the Patriots last season, turning in a 184-642-3 rushing line while adding 51-313-2 as a receiver on 65 targets. Dallas will likely draft a running back this week. • Report: Cowboys meeting with Zeke
CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson reports the Cowboys are meeting with free agent RB Ezekiel Elliott before the NFL Draft.

Advice: While previous reports from the offseason indicated interest in a reunion between Elliott and the Cowboys, Anderson confirms that the two parties are meeting the day before the NFL Draft. Elliott began his career with the Cowboys, spending seven seasons in Dallas and earning three Pro Bowls, a first-team All-Pro, and a second-team All-Pro honor during his time. He spent last season with the Patriots, totaling 184 carries for 642 yards and three touchdowns. The 28-year-old has a lot of tread on his tires but could return to a familiar place in Dallas. The Cowboys currently have Royce Freeman, Rico Dowdle, and Deuce Vaughn in the backfield. They are expected to consider adding a running back through the draft, and a potential Zeke reunion shouldn’t change that. Rotoworld Today, 4:11 pm

    • Schefter: No deal imminent for Jared Goff
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports there is no contract extension “imminent” for Jared Goff.

Advice: The Lions just signed Penei Sewell and Amon-Ra St. Brown to massive extensions, but it sounds like Goff will have to wait. Schefter did note that the two sides have spoken about an extension, though “no deal is close at this time.” Goff is set to enter the final year of his current contract. After getting his team a few plays away from a Super Bowl appearance last year, he is rightfully looking for a new contract before the start of the upcoming season. Goff will become a free agent in 2025 if they don’t get a deal done. The Lions could place the franchise tag on him then as well. Rotoworld Today, 12:14 pm

    • Inks extension with Baltimore
Bateman signed a two-year contract extension Wednesday.

Advice: Bateman was already under contract through the upcoming season in the final year of his rookie deal, but the Ravens had until May 2 to decide whether to exercise the receiver's $14.44 million team option for 2025. By reaching an extension with Bateman, the Ravens will no longer have to decide on whether to exercise or decline the option, as he's now on the team's books through 2026. The 24-year-old appeared in 16 of the Ravens' 17 regular-season games this past season, catching 32 of 56 targets for 367 yards and one touchdown. Despite Bateman's underwhelming production during his third NFL season, head coach John Harbaugh noted earlier in the offseason that he views the wideout as a candidate to "take a big step" forward in 2024, per Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site. The Ravens' pass-catching corps should look mostly similar in 2024 as it did in 2023, as No. 1 wideout Zay Flowers is entering his second season and standout tight end Mark Andrews is back in the fold, though Odell Beckham is currently a free agent and may not be brought back. • Ravens extend WR Rashod Bateman through 2026
Ravens signed Rashod Bateman to a two-year contract extension.

Advice: Bateman’s rookie deal was set to expire after the 2024 season if the team didn’t pick up his fifth-year option. The option would have Baltimore $14.4 million for the 2025 season alone, making them unlikely to pick it up. Instead, they get to keep Bateman around for a few more years on a cheap deal while Bateman gets more guaranteed money down the road. Head coach John Harbaugh already talked him up this offseason, saying he will see the ball “a lot more” in 2024. Bateman has had a sluggish start to his career because of injuries and a lack of playing time. He peaked at 515 yards on 46 catches as a rookie. However, this deal suggests he still has a shot at breaking out, making him worth hanging onto in dynasty leagues. Rotoworld Today, 10:44 am

    • Fifth-year option picked up
The Bengals have elected to pick up Chase's fifth-year contract option.

Advice: With the expected move, Chase will remain under contract with Cincinnati through the 2025 campaign. This past season, the 2021 first-rounder recorded a career-high 100 catches (on 145 targets) for 1,216 yards and seven TDs in 16 regular-season games. The 24-year-old is thus poised to remain QB Joe Burrow's top pass-catching option for the next couple of years, and in that context Chase remains a top tier fantasy option at the wide receiver position. • Bengals pick up Ja’Marr Chase’s fifth-year option
      Bengals picked up Ja’Marr Chase’s fifth-year option.

Advice: Chase is now signed through the 2025 season as the Bengals and their superstar wideout work on a longer-term deal. Chase, 24, has established himself as one of the NFL’s elite receivers, both on the intermediate level and downfield. Chase in 2023 managed 100 receptions and over 1,200 yards despite Joe Burrow missing much of the year with lingering injuries. His 2023 receiving success rate (57 percent) was the highest of his NFL career. Chase will continue operating as the team’s WR1 whether or not Tee Higgins stays in Cincinnati. • Gets four-year extension
St. Brown and the Lions reached agreement Tuesday on a four-year extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Advice: Rapoport relays that St. Brown's deal is worth more than $120 million, including $77 million guaranteed. If those numbers hold up when more details come out, St. Brown will tie Tyreek Hill's for average annual value ($30 million) for a receiver and have the stand-alone record for money guaranteed. Of course, he probably won't hold those records for long, as the list of star wideouts nearing the end of their rookie contracts includes Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb and Ja'Marr Chase. In any case, St. Brown has improved his receiving volume and fantasy production with each passing season in the NFL, and he should have another big year in 2024 while catching passes from quarterback Jared Goff in an offense that will be coordinated by Ben Johnson for at least one more season. • Lions make St. Brown the NFL’s highest-paid WR
Lions signed WR Amon-Ra St. Brown to a four-year contract extension worth up to $120 million.

Advice: St. Brown’s deal, with $77 million in guarantees, makes him the league’s highest paid wide receiver. He’ll average $28 million per year over the next four seasons. St. Brown’s 225 receptions since the start of the 2022 season ranks third in the NFL behind CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill. He’s sixth in targets over that two-year span and fifth in receiving yardage. A menace in the slot and the centerpiece of Detroit’s offense, St. Brown has established himself as an elite route runner and yards-after-the catch maven. St. Brown, 24, the 112th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, will remain a key part of the Lions offense for years to come. Rotoworld Today, 8:54 am
