• Continues to progress
Coach Kevin Stefanski noted Wednesday that Watson is throwing every other day as the QB continues his rehab from a season-ending shoulder injury, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Per Oyefusi, Watson threw passes during Tuesday's session but didn't do so Wednesday, though he did participate in individual and team drills. In regard to how Watson has looked during the Browns' current OTAs, Stefanski noted that "he looked like himself to me. I've been able to watch him the last couple of weeks now that we've gotten into Phase 2. So, I've seen him throw. He's making great progress. We will just continue to follow the medical team on this, but he looks like himself." Watson is bouncing back from surgery last November to repair a displaced fracture to the glenoid in his right throwing shoulder, so the Browns are proceeding deliberately with their top signal-caller in anticipation of him being ready for Week 1. With Watson not throwing Wednesday, Jameis Winston and Tyler Huntley took the bulk of the reps in team drills. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:02 pm

  • Bigger role in 2024?
McIntosh (thumb) has the opportunity to compete with DeeJay Dallas for Seattle's third-down running back role this offseason, Nick Lee of Sports Illustrated reports.

Advice: McIntosh dealt with a plethora of injuries during his rookie season, including a thumb issue that held him out of the Seahawks' 2023 season finale against the Cardinals, but it now seems as if he's back to full health. The 2023 third-round pick appeared in just three games last year, failing to record a single carry while playing 13 total snaps (all on special teams). Now that McIntosh is healthy ahead of Seattle's offseason programs, he's got a chance to become the Seahawks' primary third-down back, playing behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet. • Keaton Mitchell (knee) won’t be ready by Week 1
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) will begin jogging next week but won’t be ready by Week 1.

Advice: The news isn’t a surprise as Mitchell suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 last year. Harbaugh noted that the Ravens are still optimistic about Mitchell returning at some point during the season. Mitchell was an explosive change-of-pace option but doesn’t have the size to shoulder the load. The Ravens brought in Derrick Henry for that role this offseason. Mitchell could return midseason and post FLEX-worthy fantasy numbers, but he’s a hard player to stash without an IR spot. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:37 pm

  • Participating in OTAs
Woods is participating in the Browns' OTAs, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Advice: Per Cabot, Woods, who is returning from a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, appears to have bulked up since last season. Meanwhile, the 2022 sixth-rounder appears to have moved past an Achilles' injury that he sustained last April, and now that Woods is back on the field he'll have an opportunity to compete for a depth role in a Cleveland wideout corps that's led by Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman. • Returns for OTAs
Gray (shoulder) was spotted working out during the 49ers' OTAs earlier this week.

Advice: Gray, who missed all of San Francisco's 2023 campaign due to a shoulder injury, appears to be fully healthy once again as he participates in the team's OTAs. The 2022 third-round pick out of SMU saw limited work during his rookie season, tallying just 10 receiving yards and one reception through 13 games. With the 49ers adding Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing in the 2024 NFL Draft, Gray will have to battle to earn a depth role in San Francisco's wide receiver room this offseason. • Not participating during OTAs
Latu (knee) was present but not participating during San Francisco's OTAs on Tuesday, Kyle Madson of USA Today reports.

Advice: The 2023 third-round pick missed his entire rookie campaign after sustaining a meniscus injury during the 49ers' last preseason game, but it seems as if he could be nearing a return. Latu, an Alabama product, caught 56 passes for 787 yards and 12 touchdowns during his final two collegiate seasons. Once Latu is able to return to the field, he's expected to compete with Eric Saubert, Brayden Willis, Mason Pline and Jake Tonges for San Francisco's top backup tight end spot behind George Kittle. • Won't be ready for training camp
Coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Mitchell (knee) won't be ready for the start of training camp but is "on schedule" in his recovery from an ACL tear sustained Week 15 last season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Harbaugh said Mitchell isn't expected to be ready until "sometime during the season." That's unsurprising, given the timing of Mitchell's injury, but fantasy managers should brace for the likely eventuality that the second-year pro isn't available Week 1, or at least not at full strength. Derrick Henry will work as Baltimore's clear No. 1 backfield option, but given that he's now reached the age-30 mark, the team could want to keep him from a league-leading workload, such as he's carried in the past. That could open up opportunities for Mitchell, once healthy, but to begin the regular season it will likely be Justice Hill and rookie fifth-rounder Rasheen Ali (biceps) complementing Henry. • Missing OTAs with hamstring issue
Coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Schoonmaker (hamstring) could miss the entirety of OTAs due to a new injury, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Schoonmaker is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, though per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, McCarthy confirmed that his rehab from shoulder surgery has gone well. The 2023 second-round pick has had issues staying healthy in his young career, having missed time last spring due to a foot issue, though he did play all 17 games as a rookie despite battling a shoulder issue. • Deshaun Watson (shoulder) rests on 2nd day of OTAs
Deshaun Watson (shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday’s OTAs.

Advice: This is only notable because Watson had offseason surgery to repair his right throwing shoulder. The team released video of Watson throwing during Tuesday’s OTA session, which was not open to the media. Watson, 29, said his doctors encouraged him to be conservative with how much he uses the shoulder in offseason practices. “I feel really good, very confident in myself and the process, how it’s going,” Watson said in April. “The shoulder has been really well, so just making sure that I don’t do anything extra that’s going to harm it or anything like that. I think that’s the biggest thing.” Watson has said he’s not sure when he’ll be deemed fully recovered from last year’s injury. If Watson misses any time in 2024, Jameis Winston will likely start for the Browns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:49 am
