    • Weekly Grade: A-

    • Redskins 4Life

    • 77.12

Foosballin registered the second-highest score in the league this week to take down Redskins 4Life 107.02 - 77.12. Foosballin met expectations and scored 8.2% more than their projected 98.95 points, while Redskins 4Life failed to live up to expectations and scored only 75.2% of a projected 102.49. For Redskins 4Life, Antonio Brown and Josh McCown played the roles of Maverick and Goose, scoring 17.60 and 16.02 points, respectively. When assigning blame following this loss, Redskins 4Life can look in the mirror. They started a player with zero points (the St. Louis Rams Defense). Foosballin kicks off the season with a 1-0 record, good enough for second place. Redskins 4Life debuts at 0-1 and in 16th place.

    Smooth Moves by Foosballin

    • We won't judge you if you want to bow to Marshawn Lynch. He ranked seventh in the league in scoring with 24.40 points.
    • Foosballin is either a fortune teller or really knows his stuff. Cody Parkey, who was picked up by Foosballin, scored 12.00 points against a projected 9.10, topping his projection by 31.9%.
    • Mark Ingram put the team on his back with 18.10 points, the fifth-highest score among RBs in the league this week.
    • Jeremy Maclin scored 15.70 points, the seventh-highest WR score in the league this week.
    • Apparently playing within themselves was good enough. Foosballin won despite having only 5 of their 10 starters exceed their projected points.

    Toyota Missed Opportunities

    • Yes, your team could have been better. But if you haven't gotten behind the wheel of the bold new Camry yet, that's your real missed opportunity.
    • Picked up Shaun Suisham, who scored 13.00 points against a projected 8.30, but left him on the bench.
    • All that glitters is not gold. Picked up Andre Roberts, who scored 2.20 points against his projected 5.20.
    • Redskins 4Life fell short at the K position, getting outscored 12.00 - 4.00 by Foosballin.
    • Redskins 4Life had 6 of their 10 starters score less than their projected points.

    What If

    • Besides Redskins 4Life, Foosballin would have defeated 15 other teams this week.
    • Foosballin would have had to score 40.27 fewer points to lose to all teams in the league this week.
    • Redskins 4Life would have lost to 14 other teams besides Foosballin this week.
    • If Redskins 4Life had scored 10.37 fewer points, they would have lost to all teams in the league this week.

    Game Notes

    • Foosballin won by the largest margin of victory in the league at 29.90 points.
    • Foosballin had two starters score more points than the highest-scoring starter for Redskins 4Life.
    • The best group of RBs in the league this week was on Foosballin, which got 42.50 points from the position.
    • With 107.02 points, Foosballin scored the second-most points in the league this week.
    • Redskins 4Life scored 77.12 points, ranking them 16th in the league in scoring.
    • Antonio Brown was on the losing team, but still had the sixth-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 17.60 points.
    • Zach Ertz put up the fourth-best TE score in the league with 13.70 points this week.
    • No it's okay, you don't have to get up and help us out. Despite being on the winning team, Victor Cruz scored only 2.40 points against his projected 9.44.

    Fantasy MasterpiecesWeek 1

Peyton Manning Den - QB 2013 vs. Baltimore 27–for-42 passing, 462 yards, 7 TD passes, 0 INTs Peyton Manning announced his record-breaking intentions with authority to open the '13 campaign, throwing for seven touchdowns against the Ravens, tying an NFL-record that hadn't previously been accomplished since 1969.

His 462 passing yards were also the second-best mark of his storied career, helping produce a fantasy performance that will go down as one of the greatest performances by a signal-caller to date, with only a Michael Vick explosion against Washington on November 15th, 2010 ranking ahead of it. An interesting side note to Peyton's monster Week 1 effort was that little brother Eli Manning put forth the second-best QB performance, throwing for 450 yards and four touchdowns at Dallas.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
