    • Polk -- not Shady -- gets 1st RB practice rep
According to CSN Philly's Reuben Frank, Chris Polk received the first running back rep at Eagles practice on Wednesday, ahead of LeSean McCoy.

Advice: McCoy laughed off the running back order following the practice, and Frank concedes it's "impossible to tell" if it actually meant anything. McCoy was reportedly "on the sideline while Polk worked with the first unit." Reporters were only able to view two practice reps before the session was closed to media. "We rotate all the time," McCoy said Wednesday afternoon. "(RBs coach) Duce (Staley) pulled me out. (Darren) Sproles wasn't in either." The Eagles are preparing to play the Redskins on Saturday evening. When Philly and Washington played earlier this year, McCoy managed 22 yards on 19 carries. Rotoworld.com

    • Broncos hoping Hillman returns to field soon
The Broncos hope to have Ronnie Hillman (foot) back "if not this week at Cincinnati then in the season finale."

Advice: The Broncos could put Hillman to use as a complement to C.J. Anderson, who's averaged an unruly 27.25 carries per game over the past month. Shifty and quick, Hillman would make more sense as a true change-of-pace than Juwan Thompson, who is a big back like Anderson. Even if Hillman plays Monday night at Cincinnati, it would be a surprise if he handled more than 7-9 touches. Rotoworld.com

It's interesting Allen and the Chargers are apparently so optimistic about an injury that typically sidelines players for the better part of two months, but we strongly suspect he's played his final snap of the 2014-15 campaign. Keenan Allen has been diagnosed with a broken collarbone in addition to his ankle injury, and is likely done for the regular season.

Advice: Strangely, the Chargers have yet to formally rule Allen for Week 16, but barring a Bolts Super Bowl run, he's almost certainly played his final snap of the 2014-15 season. It appears the only reason for hope is that Allen briefly played through the injury in Week 15. It's a massive blow for the Chargers' scuffling offense, as Allen had really come on of late, catching 49 passes over his past eight games. He'll close the book on his second regular season the owner of a 77/783/4 line. Not a bad year, but a major downgrade from Allen's rookie campaign. He averaged just 10.2 yards per catch after posting a 14.7 mark in 2013. Nevertheless, Allen is only 22, and an elite route runner. He remains a strong hold as a WR2 in dynasty leagues. Rotoworld.com

Advice: A former longtime Cowboys and NFL scout, Broaddus is as plugged-in as anyone covering the team. Cowboys VP Stephen Jones stated on Sirius XM Radio Monday that Murray faced an "uphill battle" to face Indianapolis, but that may have been gamesmanship ahead of arguably the biggest game of Week 16. It's worth noting that Murray's band surgery on his hand was performed on his left hand. Murray primarily carries the ball with his right hand. Jones expressed confidence Murray would play in Week 17 against the Redskins. But it sounds like Joseph Randle is the favorite to start this week against the Colts. • DeMarco needs hand surgery, status uncertain
DeMarco Murray is undergoing Monday surgery to repair a broken band in his left hand, but has yet to be ruled out for Week 16.

Advice: Murray is specifically dealing with a broken fourth metacarpal. The injury is to his non-ball carrying hand. Per reporter Todd Archer, Emmitt Smith suffered a similar injury in his playing days, and missed only one game. It's clearly not a long-term concern, but the Cowboys will be in a world of trouble if they lose to the Colts on Sunday. For now, owners should consider Murray truly day to day. If Murray can't go, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar will form a committee in his absence, with Randle likely handling early downs and Dunbar getting passing work. Even if Murray suits up for Week 16, it's possible he'll be limited. Brittle through the first three years of his NFL career, Murray's first injury of 2014 couldn't be worse timed, though the Cowboys have been tempting fate with his massive workloads. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Bortles diagnosed with mid-foot sprain
Blake Bortles has been diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain, and is "questionable" for Thursday's game against the Titans.

Advice: Unless Bortles has the mildest foot sprain ever, we'd consider him more doubtful than questionable to take the field in a little over 72 hours. It's unclear when Bortles suffered the injury in Sunday's (latest) loss, as he played 69-of-69 snaps. Chad Henne will get the call for Thursday Night Football if Bortles can't go, further dulling an already unappealing matchup. Henne would be well off the DFS radar if he gets the call. Rotoworld.com

Advice: He had just one target. Matthews briefly exited in the first quarter with a knee injury, but was able to return. He's been limited by the ineffective play of Mark Sanchez the last two games. Matthews won't be more than a WR3 option for Week 16. Rotoworld.com

He had two touchdowns vultured by Chris Polk, and lost a third score to Darren Sproles at the one-yard line. McCoy has managed just 114 yards on 33 carries over the last two weeks. Advice: Hyde went down awkwardly in the third quarter and didn't return. Although it was announced as a right ankle issue, the rookie back said his back is the one he was going for X-rays on. With Frank Gore in the concussion protocol, it's a situation worth monitoring. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Charles admitted his knee and ankle bothered him slightly during the game, but nothing that he couldn't play very effectively through. He seemed most frustrated by the coaches yanking him after a big collision near the goal-line. Knile Davis scored on the very next play. "I wanted to play the game. Advice: We didn't notice it during the game and Hilton appeared to finish without missing any time. But he was very quiet after a three-catch first quarter, perhaps limited by this hamstring tweak. When asked if he will be OK afterward, Hilton said, "I hope so. I'll know more after I go get an MRI and talk with the doctors." The Colts have a tasty matchup at Dallas in Week 16. Advice: Crabtree closes the book on San Francisco's two 2014 matchups with the Seahawks having caught six passes for 29 yards. But they did on Sunday and Megatron was bottled up, struggling to get openings against Rhodes' physical press. It was a disappointing day for Megatron. He appeared to have a chance to return, but was ruled out with a little over five minutes remaining. Hyde was running well before going down, taking the rock six times for 55 yards. Concerned players from both teams huddled around him before he was helped off the field. Gore was running reasonably well before going down, taking the rock 11 times for 29 yards and a touchdown. Advice: The other shoe finally dropped for Blount, who had averaged 14.6 touches through his first three games as a Patriot. He got vultured for a three-yard score by Shane Vereen in the second quarter, and was actually out-touched 12-10 by Jonas Gray. Six of Gray's touches came with the game long decided, but he was involved while the final score was still in doubt. It's back to the drawing board for Blount's fantasy owners. Advice: Hilton started off hot, getting open at will with precision route-running and even going up tall to win a contested ball. Three of his catches came in the first quarter. Green Bay unofficially had no explosive plays in the passing game until Aaron Rodgers hit Cobb up the middle off play action for a 20-yard gain midway through the third quarter. Advice: Perhaps the most damning fact about Carr's day is his stat line was significantly helped by garbage time. He was averaging less than three yards an attempt well into the second half and should have thrown at least three interceptions. Carr found no help on his sideline. Advice: Bortles took eight sacks and has been dropped for 46 of them in 11 starts. The Jaguars' best chance at finding the end zone came when they got down to the nine-yard line, but Bortles took back-to-back sacks back to around the 30 and settled for a field goal. Harry Douglas caught 10 passes for 131 yards in the Falcons' 27-20, Week 15 loss to the Steelers.

Advice: Drawing the start in place of an injured Julio Jones (hip) opposite a banged up Roddy White, Douglas was targeted a game-high 14 times. His longest gain went fro 41 yards on a screen pass to the left that set the Falcons up inside the 10-yard line. White eventually scored from four yards out a couple plays later. Douglas has shown time and again that he's a quality option if either Jones or White doesn't play. Advice: Ryan isn't committing to Harvin playing against the Titans, but it's sure beginning to sound like he will. "The fact that he's out there [on the practice field] is amazing," Ryan said. "This was a significant [ankle] injury. It's unbelievable. I'm still not sure, but I've been impressed." We'd bet on Harvin playing, but wouldn't bet on him as more than a crapshoot WR3 in fantasy. Advice: It sounds like Knile Davis won't be mixed in more than usual. Rotoworld's Pat Daugherty currently ranks Charles as this week's No. 4 running back play, behind only Le'Veon Bell, DeMarco Murray, and Arian Foster. Rotoworld.com

Andre Johnson (concussion) is listed as questionable for Week 15 after failing to earn medical clearance on Friday.

Advice: Johnson was "limited" in Friday's practice after missing Wednesday and Thursday's sessions. He currently appears to be on the doubtful side of his questionable tag, though that could change if Johnson passes the NFL's concussion protocols on Saturday. If Johnson does not play against the Colts, DeAndre Hopkins could be a usage machine in a domed game with the potential for high scoring. Keep a close eye on this situation into Sunday morning. Advice: He practiced on a limited basis on both Thursday and Friday, and coach Rex Ryan expressed optimism following Friday's session. It's a big change from early in thew week when Ryan indicated Harvin might be facing a multi-week absence. Instead, his ankle sprain was diagnosed as "low," and he's on track to face Tennessee. Advice: The best news is Charles was able to string together consecutive practices after taking Wednesday off, indicating his ankle responded well to stress. The cherry on top is that Charles impressed reporters in Friday's session. Coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday afternoon Charles will play on Sunday. Larry Fitzgerald caught 7-of-10 targets for 30 yards in the Cardinals' Week 15 win over the Rams.

Advice: He also had a 27-yard catch called back by holding. The seven grabs were Fitz's most in four games, but he was limited to catching dinks and dunks as coach Bruce Arians tried to mask Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley's deficiencies. Fitz wasn't allowed to do work after the catch by a sound-tackling Rams defense. Fitz looked healthy tonight, and now has 10 days to heal up for Week 16, but will remain off the WR3 radar against the Seahawks' Legion of Boom. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Calling players "game-time decisions" has fast become one of the unnecessarily evasive O'Brien's favorite pastimes. It's, of course, utter hogwash in this instance, as the Texans will know before Sunday morning whether Johnson has been cleared. Hopefully the information leaks some time in the next 48 hours. Lacy said there are hurdles he must clear, and that he doesn't want to put the Pack at a disadvantage if he "can't play effectively." Lacy said he has "no idea" if he'd be at risk of further injury if he played. It's still quite possible the Pack are simply doing everything they can to limit Lacy's reps on a short week, but it's become a situation that calls for a back-up plan. • LeGarrette Blount held out of end-zone
LeGarrette Blount had 20 carries for 66 yards in Sunday night's Week 14 win over the Chargers.

Advice: The Patriots got Blount involved early with seven carries on the first drive. He failed to convert on his only goal-line chance, and wasn't able to get anything going in the second half. Blount is averaging 15 touches per game since coming over from the Steelers. He'll be a low-end RB2/FLEX against Miami in Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Philip Rivers struggles in loss to Patriots
Philip Rivers completed 20-of-33 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in Sunday night's Week 14 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: It was another bad game from Rivers, who has a 6:6 TD/INT ratio over the last five weeks. His only touchdown was a 15-yard fade to Malcom Floyd in the corner of the end-zone. The Patriots shut down Keenan Allen with Darrelle Revis, leaving Rivers to check down to Donald Brown and Antonio Gates. Rivers will be just a low-end QB1 for Week 15 against the Broncos. • Jordan Matthews held to two catches vs. SEA
Jordan Matthews caught 2-of-5 targets for 23 yards in the Eagles' Week 14 loss to the Seahawks.

Advice: The two catches were Matthews' fewest since Week 2. He simply never had a prayer on a day where the Legion of Boom limited Mark Sanchez to 10 completions. Matthews will bounce back as an upside WR3 for next week's rematch with the Cowboys. Matthews got Big D for 4/51/1 on Thanksgiving. Rotoworld.com

    • LeSean McCoy struggles vs. Seattle
LeSean McCoy rushed 17 times for 50 yards in Philadelphia's Week 14 loss to the Seahawks, also losing a fumble.

Advice: McCoy wasn't targeted in the passing game. Shady's fumble cost the Eagles dearly, as it was a soft loss on the first play from scrimmage in the second half. Seattle turned it into a Marshawn Lynch touchdown just two plays later. Today was miserable for the Eagles' resurgent lead back, but he'll get back on track against the Cowboys in Week 15. He stung Big D for 25/159/1 on Thanksgiving. Rotoworld.com

    • Carr throws 3 TDs as Raiders upset Niners
Derek Carr completed 22-of-28 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns in the Raiders' Week 14 upset of the 49ers.

Advice: Cool in the pocket and noticeably more willing to pull the trigger on intermediate throws in this one, Carr quarterbacked a surprisingly-excellent offense against one of the league's best defenses. He was sacked just once against a shockingly nonexistent San Francisco pass rush and recorded a 140.2 passer rating. Carr will face Kansas City's No. 1-ranked pass defense next. Rotoworld.com

    • Jamaal Charles scores twice in Chiefs' loss
Jamaal Charles rushed 10 times for 91 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 20 yards and a score Week 14 against the Cardinals.

Advice: Charles scared the fantasy world when he was briefly knocked out of the game with an ankle injury in the first quarter. He caught an 18-yard touchdown pass quickly after returning, and did not look any worse for wear throughout the rest of the game. Charles will be a high-end RB1 in a tasty matchup against the Raiders in Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Carlos Hyde gets 3 touches in Week 14
Carlos Hyde rushed twice for four yards and caught an eight-yard pass in the 49ers' Week 14 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Hyde is a promising rookie, but overall he's been no more than a lightly used change-of-pace back behind Frank Gore this season. The second-round pick won't be a flex option in Week 15 at Seattle. Rotoworld.com

    • Frank Gore: 12-63 against Raiders
Frank Gore rushed for 63 yards on 12 carries in the 49ers' Week 14 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Gore looked great when he got chances, but didn't get nearly enough of them. The 49ers played from behind for much of the contest and abandoned the run. Gore is an excellent receiver and pass blocker, but for whatever reason the 49ers have never made use of their running backs in the passing game under Jim Harbaugh. Gore will remain a weak flex option when the 49ers travel to Seattle in Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Larry Fitzgerald sees 9 targets in his return
Larry Fitzgerald caught 4-of-9 targets for 34 yards Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Advice: Fitzgerald was used underneath the coverage all day, often just turning around once he reached the first down marker. It worked well for four early catches, but Fitzgerald was hardly involved in the second half. He escaped the game without suffering any setbacks, but he will be nothing more than a WR4 as long as Drew Stanton is under center. Rotoworld.com

    • Crabtree goes 9-56 against Raiders
Michael Crabtree secured 9-of-14 targets for 56 yards in the 49ers' Week 14 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Crabtree has looked much more like a possession receiver this season than the intermediate and vertical stretcher he flashed the ability to be during the 2012 season. Since his 2013 Achilles' tear, Crabtree's game has lacked explosiveness and quicks. He's been a fringe WR3 in fantasy all year and will be a WR4 in Week 15 against the Seahawks. Rotoworld.com

T.Y. Hilton secured 10-of-19 targets for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' Week 14 win over the Browns.

Advice: Hilton had one catch at halftime and was stripped for a lost fumble by Joe Haden on his third reception of the game. Hilton went on an absolute rampage thereafter, burning Haden for a 42-yard touchdown bomb and again for the game winner with less than a minute remaining. Despite his size limitations, Hilton has established himself as a top 10-12 receiver in the game today. He should go berserk against the Texans in Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Megatron hangs 8-158-1 on hapless Bucs
Calvin Johnson caught 8-of-9 targets for 158 yards and a touchdown Week 14 against the Bucs.

Advice: Johnson started the game by beating Bucs RCB Johnathan Banks on a fade route for a touchdown in the first quarter, and was unstoppable after that. Johnson got open almost at will, and now has 304 yards and three touchdowns the last two weeks. He is back to being Megatron and will be high-end WR play against the Vikings Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Bortles' struggles continue in Week 14
Blake Bortles went 20-of-39 passing for 205 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Jaguars' Week 14 loss to the Texans.

Advice: He rushed three times for 10 yards, also absorbing four sacks. Bortles has shown very little ability to complete passes at the intermediate and vertical sections this season, mainly completing his throws around the line of scrimmage. That was again the case on Sunday behind a porous offensive line that was ransacked by J.J. Watt. The Ravens' fantasy defense will be a recommended play when they face the Jaguars' offense in Week 15. Rotoworld.com

Larry Fitzgerald (knee) is active Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Advice: Fitzgerald got in work in all three practices this week, but he is still not 100 percent recovered from his sprained MCL. Still hobbled and with Drew Stanton under center, Fitzgerald is nothing more than a WR4 against the Chiefs. Rotoworld.com

Andre Johnson suffered a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

    • Report: ARZ thinks Fitzgerald will play vs. KC
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Cardinals believe Larry Fitzgerald (knee) will play Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Advice: He's listed as questionable after missing the past two games with a sprained MCL. Fitzgerald won't be anything more than a WR4, even if he does play. Drew Stanton has been horrendous since stepping back into the starting lineup. Chiefs at Cardinals has the lowest over-under (40) of the weekend. Rotoworld.com
