DeSean Jackass, down 15.76 on Monday night, gave The Sanchise a glimmer of hope, then ripped it away and edged The Sanchise 84.72 to 82.18. DeSean Jackass benefited from 17.00 points from the Chicago Bears Defense and 16.70 from Jimmy Graham. This close win was revenge for a Week 3 105.10 to 100.10 close loss to The Sanchise. Jamaal Charles led The Sanchise with 18.20 points while the Indianapolis Colts Defense brought in 15.00. The outcome could have gone the other way, The Sanchise had a starter score zero points (Julius Thomas). DeSean Jackass (3-9, 1,046.50 points) remains mired in ninth place while The Sanchise (6-6, 1,170.12 points) stays in sixth place.

    Smooth Moves by DeSean Jackass

    • Jimmy Graham had the most points of any TE in the league this week with 16.70.
    • Look, there in the sky. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's just Keenan Allen posterizing opponents. He had the 10th-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 12.40 points.
    • The Chicago Bears Defense led the team in scoring and beat their projection by 114.4%, the 10th-highest percentage in the league.
    • With only 4 of their 9 starters beating their projected points, DeSean Jackass was still able to win.
    • Wow, I guess RBs really don't matter much. DeSean Jackass won even though both of their RBs scored below their projected points.

    Toyota Roster Tune-up

    • The Sanchise may have missed the opportunity for a win, but they gained an opportunity to be mercilessly taunted by DeSean Jackass.
    • The San Diego Chargers Defense, which was left on the bench, exceeded their 7.55-point projection with 16.00 points.
    • Reggie Wayne was last on the team in scoring with 1.00 point, 11.5% of his projected 8.72, which is his lowest percentage of the season.
    • Of the 9 starters on The Sanchise, 6 underperformed versus their projections.
    • Left Julius Thomas in the starting lineup, where he didn't score any points.

    What If

    • If DeSean Jackass played The Sanchise every week, they would be 5-7 this season.
    • Besides The Sanchise, DeSean Jackass would have defeated three other teams this week.
    • If they played the same schedule as The Sanchise, DeSean Jackass would be 2-8.
    • If DeSean Jackass had played every team in the league each week, they would be 40-68.
    • The Sanchise would have lost to five other teams besides DeSean Jackass this week.
    • And they say procrastination doesn't pay off! Had they played each other last week, DeSean Jackass would have lost to The Sanchise 103.04 - 77.92.
    • The Sanchise would be 3-7 if they played the same schedule as DeSean Jackass.
    • The Sanchise would be 55-53 if they played every team every week.

    Game Notes

    • DeSean Jackass put up their smallest winning point total of the year.
    • The tragedy of being an underachiever is that DeSean Jackass knows what they should be, but reality keeps telling them that they're wrong. They scored 84.72 points against a projected 103.82 and underachieved for the seventh time this season, including the last four weeks in a row.
    • The margin of victory of 2.54 points was the smallest in the league this week.
    • The Sanchise got a combined 10.30 points from their WRs, their lowest combined scoring output from the WR position this season.
    • In the loss, Adam Vinatieri scored 12.00 points against a projected 9.53 and has now overachieved in six straight games.
    • Although DeSean Jackass won, it was no thanks to Mark Ingram, who scored 4.20 points and has now scored below his projection in three straight weeks.
    • Not going to name names, but some people here aren't pulling their weight. Forget it, Sammy Watkins needs to step it up! He scored 3.50 points against a projected 10.41 in the win, and has now scored below his projection in three straight games.
    • DeSean Jackass improves to 2-1 in close games this season.

    Fantasy MasterpiecesWeek 12

Fred Taylor JAC - RB 2000 vs. Pittsburgh 33 touches, 248 total yards, 4 TDs Fred Taylor earned the nickname "Fragile" because of the frequency of which he would land on the NFL injury report.

But when he was healthy, he was a sight to behold. And the pinnacle of his career was in Week 12 of '12, when he rolled up the Pittsburgh defense for 248 yards and four touchdowns. For fantasy owners, it was an amazing time to own the Jacksonville back. After sitting out the first three games of that season (we mentioned that he was fragile, right?), he returned to post modest numbers in his his three games back in the lineup. But his 10 game run to close out the '00 campaign is the stuff of legend. From Weeks 7-16, Taylor went straight games with at least 100 rushing yards. And over the final seven games of the season, he amassed a whopping 13 TDs, including a hat trick+1 in Week 12 and another hat trick (and 181 rushing yards) two weeks later.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
