    Eagles waived WR Rasheed Bailey.

  • Bucs rookie WR Bell may head to I.R.
Bucs WR Kenny Bell's hamstring injury is severe enough that it may land him on injured reserve.

Advice: Bell missed the final two preseason games and has been outplayed by fringe receivers Russell Shepard, Rannell Hall, and Adam Humphries. The fifth-round rookie out of Nebraska was expected to compete with Louis Murphy for No. 3 receiver duties, but it sounds like his first season could be spent on the sidelines. • Lockett ends preseason with another big play
Tyler Lockett caught 2-of-2 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason finale.

Advice: Playing with starter Russell Wilson on Seattle's opening series, Lockett simply outran Oakland's secondary en route to a 63-yard touchdown. The (latest) long score brings Lockett's preseason line as a receiver to 6/129/1, while he's added a 103-yard kick return touchdown and 67-yard punt score. The special teams stud has forced his way into a role on offense, and his big-play potential is very much worth one of your final roster spots in re-draft leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:23 pm

  • Pettine says Bowe in no danger of being cut
Browns coach Mike Pettine said Dwayne Bowe is not in danger of being cut.

Advice: When asked if Bowe could be cut, Pettine responded with a curt, "No." Bowe played deep into the Browns' fourth preseason game, but he is owed $9.5 million guaranteed and would cost $4.5 million against the 2015 salary cap to cut. With the Browns low on wide receiver talent, there was never a real chance Bowe lost his job. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:58 pm

  • Willie Snead has another solid night
Saints WR Willie Snead caught three balls for 31 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's preseason finale.

Advice: Starting opposite Brandon Coleman with Luke McCown at quarterback, Snead kicked off the scoring with a seven-yard touchdown catch, and nearly had a second score only for Ryan Griffin to miss Snead badly. Snead has been the Saints' most productive receiver this preseason, closing it out with 11 catches for 148 yards and the touchdown. He should make the final 53. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm

Chris Owusu secured five catches for 72 yards in Thursday’s preseason win over the Eagles.

Chiefs rookie Chris Conley caught three balls for 38 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's preseason finale.

Advice: Conley's touchdown came from 15 yards out on a skinny post, with Chase Daniel executing a pretty throw against zone coverage. Although straight-linish, Conley has big-play potential and should earn more and more looks with the first team as the Chiefs' season moves forward. • Dwayne Bowe plays into third quarter Thursday
Dwayne Bowe played into the third quarter of Thursday's preseason finale, catching 1-of-2 targets for eight yards.

Advice: The grab was Bowe's lone catch of the summer. Despite the fact that Bowe missed Cleveland's first two preseason games with a hamstring injury, it's extremely bizarre for a nine-year veteran — one who received $9.5 million guaranteed in March — to play into the third quarter of the final preseason game. It lends some credence to the scuttlebutt that Bowe's roster is in danger, though Browns in-house analyst Nathan Zegura has insisted that's not the case. What is the case is that Bowe isn't going to be a fantasy option catching passes from Josh McCown. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm

  • Pryor touches ball twice in preseason finale
Terrelle Pryor wasn't targeted in Thursday's preseason finale, but rushed twice for nine yards.

Advice: Limited by a hamstring issue for the past month, Pryor was making his preseason debut. The Browns have insisted all summer that Pryor is a strict wideout, but both of his touches came as the quarterback on read options. Pryor did do some blocking as a wideout, and even served as the punt protector. Although Pryor has barely practiced this summer, and tonight's work came with deep reserves, he's looking like a good bet for the Browns' 53-man roster. A team with this little talent can't afford to let a blue-chip athlete like Pryor go. Pryor is currently off the re-draft radar, but that could change over the season's first few games. Packers second-year WR Jeff Janis caught two balls for 21 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's preseason finale.

Advice: Just another preseason touchdown for Janis, who now has FIVE touchdowns through two NFL preseasons. Janis' 14-yard score was delivered by rookie quarterback Brett Hundley in this one. Aaron Rodgers apparently still lacks trust in Janis, a size-speed SPARQ freak out of Saginaw Valley State. For now, rookie Ty Montgomery is penciled in ahead of Janis as Green Bay's third receiver. • DeVante Parker gets 8 snaps in preseason game
DeVante Parker caught an 11-yard pass in the Dolphins' preseason finale Thursday night.

Advice: He played eight snaps. Recovered from June foot surgery, Parker was healthy enough to start Thursday night's game, although his quarterback was someone named McLeod Bethel-Thompson, or "MBT." MBT completed an 11-yard pass to Parker on Miami's second drive. Later, Parker got open deep downfield but was overthrown by Bethel-Thompson. Parker's participation in this game bodes well for his chances of having a role in Week 1 against the Redskins, even if it won't be as a starter. • Report: Dwayne Bowe on 53-man roster bubble
Browns preseason broadcaster Solomon Wilcots believes Dwayne Bowe is on the roster bubble.

Advice: Wilcots came to that conclusion after speaking with Browns coaches. Per Wilcots, Bowe "needs to deliver" in Thursday's preseason finale to ensure his spot on the 53-man roster. Advice: "There’s certain things you can’t teach," McCourty continued, "and you can’t teach a guy to be that big, and to be physical." DGB is an imposing figure at 6'5/237 pounds, but he is a rough around the edges prospect who has yet to earn a spot with the first-team offense. The Charlotte Observer believes WR Corey Brown could be on the roster bubble.

Advice: Brown was expected to open the season in the starting lineup following the season-ending injury to Kelvin Benjamin (ACL), but he has struggled mightily with drops both in games and in practice over the last several weeks. "Jeff will have some great days and some days where mentally he's making too many mistakes," Rodgers said. "The talent and athleticism is there. • Chris Conley running with starters Monday
Chiefs third-round WR Chris Conley ran with the starting offense at Monday's practice.

Advice: With Albert Wilson (shoulder) hurt, Conley is getting his chance to run opposite Jeremy Maclin. Before Wilson even got hurt last week, he was having a really quiet camp and preseason while Conley caught 3-of-5 targets for 30 yards in his first action of the preseason over the weekend. Wilson has speed, but isn't very big. Conley (6'3/205) was a draftnik favorite as a metrics freak with 4.35 wheels, 45-inch vertical, and 11-foot-7 broad jump. He's in the mix for No. 2 duties. Saints WR Willie Snead caught four balls for 56 yards in Sunday night's third preseason game.

Advice: Snead was the chain-moving receiver during Luke McCown's time on the field, running with the second-team offense opposite Brandon Coleman. Snead has been a ball-catching machine in Saints practices, according to beat reporters, and through three preseason games is up to an 8-117 receiving line. Snead stands 5-foot-11, 195, but ran 4.62 coming out of Ball State in 2014. He failed to make the 53-man roster in Browns camp last year. "As we go through it and I see how he handles the situation, it will tell me a lot about who he is as a football player." The Panthers do not have much choice but to stick with Brown. Kelvin Benjamin (ACL) is out for the season, Devin Funchess (hamstring) is injured and unproven, and the rest of the depth chart is either old, uninspiring or both. Speaking Thursday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said there's "no timetable" for Breshad Perriman's (sprained PCL) return, and that his recovery gone slower than expected.

Advice: Perriman should miss the entire preseason, and is looking mighty questionable for Week 1. It's a disaster for a team with no receiver depth to speak of. It should ensure Marlon Brown's roster spot. If you're drafting this weekend, Perriman should be treated as a boom-or-bust WR4. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:51 am

  • Parker to practice individually next week
DeVante Parker (foot) is expected to begin practicing in individual drills next week.

Advice: It's a step in the right direction for Parker, but reporter Armando Salguero acknowledges it's still too soon to know whether Parker will be ready for Week 1. Parker will be available for the game, but could be listed as an inactive. Assuming he avoids setbacks, we would not be surprised to see Parker in the Dolphins' starting lineup by late September or early October. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:56 pm

  • Rodgers 'not sure' whom 3rd receiver will be
Aaron Rodgers "isn't quite sure" who will take over as the Packers' new third receiver.

Advice: While beat writers seem convinced the job will go to rookie Ty Montgomery, Rodgers' uncertainty suggests the door is still open for vertical-stretching sophomore Jeff Janis. ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky confirms the No. 3 battle will come down to Janis and Montgomery only. Rodgers did acknowledge the need for an additional wideout to step up. "There's going to be some one-on-ones outside, and we look for matchups," Rodgers explained. "So that third guy could get the matchup and is going to need to produce." The Packers ran three-receiver formations on over 70 percent of their 2014 offensive plays. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:08 pm

  • Chris Owusu (concussion) cleared to return
Chris Owusu (concussion) has been cleared to practice.

Advice: Owusu missed two weeks with his concussion. He should be active for Saturday's preseason game. Owusu was playing in three-wide sets ahead of Jeremy Kerley prior to going down. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:34 pm

  • Terrelle Pryor (hammy) back in full pads Wed.
Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday.

Advice: Pryor had to get back to practice this week if he's going to make the roster. He initially injured his hamstring the first week of August, returned August 15, but re-tweaked it on the 18th, and had been out until today. Pryor missed the Browns' initial scrimmage and the first two preseason games. He's going to need to make some sort of impression the next two weeks to earn a spot. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:53 am

  • DeVante Parker (foot) now uncertain for Week 1
First-round WR DeVante Parker (foot) is now uncertain if he'll be ready Week 1.

Advice: Both the Dolphins and Parker's agent had been saying they fully expect Parker ready for the season opener, but with 18 days to go and Parker yet to begin cutting on his surgically-repaired foot, it's appearing less likely he'll be ready. Still, Parker is expected back at some point early in the season after being activated from the active/PUP list last week. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:46 am

  • Bills impressed with undrafted WR Andre Davis
Coach Rex Ryan singled out undrafted rookie WR Andre Davis as a player who has "really taken off" in training camp.

Advice: Davis has plus size at 6'1/207 despite poor athletic measurables, and has reportedly been catching everything at camp. It's still going to be hard for Davis to crack the 53-man roster behind Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Percy Harvin, Marcus Easley, and Chris Hogan. He may be a practice-squad option. • DeVante Parker has yet to resume cutting
DeVante Parker (foot) has yet to resume cutting.

Advice: Parker was running "hard" in Tuesday's side work, but isn't ready for real practice. The No. 14 overall pick is in a race against time to get ready for Week 1. He has 19 days. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:23 am

  • Breshad Perriman (knee) still not practicing
Ravens first-round WR Breshad Perriman (sprained PCL) remains sidelined.

Advice: It means Perriman is all but certain to miss this weekend's regular season dress rehearsal. Sidelined since July 30, the No. 26 overall pick is now poised to enter Week 1 with essentially zero camp and preseason reps to his name. It strains belief that he'll be ready to start opposite Steve Smith Sr., putting Kamar Aiken on the spot. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:19 am
