    • Marcedes Lewis scores touchdown in vicotry
Marcedes Lewis caught 2-of-3 targets for six yards and a touchdown in the Jags' Week 16 win over the Titans.

Advice: Lewis' score came on a well-executed fade in the second quarter. It was his first touchdown since Week 2. Going on 31, Lewis is signed for a hefty $6.65 million next season. Rotoworld.com

Storm Johnson rushed three times for three yards in the Jags' Week 16 win over the Titans.

Jordan Todman rushed five times for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Titans, adding two catches for five yards.

Advice: Todman had the play of the night in the fourth quarter. With the Jags running a fake reverse, Todman took the handoff, made one cut and was off to the races for a 62-yard touchdown. Todman showed serious speed in housing his first score of the year. He could be in for a bigger role in Week 17 if Toby Gerhart (ribs) can't go. Rotoworld.com

Cecil Shorts caught 2-of-7 targets for 15 yards in the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Titans.

Advice: It was another brutal effort for a veteran in the midst of a disappointing season, as Shorts committed no fewer than three drops. In a sign of how Shorts' night went, one of his muffs was wiped out by an offensive pass interference penalty. Shorts won't be a recommended DFS play in Week 17 against the Texans. Rotoworld.com

    • Bortles, Jags outlast Titans in TNF finale
Blake Bortles completed 13-of-26 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 21-13, Week 16 win over the Titans, adding five rushes for 50 yards.

Advice: Bortles' sprained foot was not an issue. In the merciful end to an unimpressive slate of Thursday night games, Tennessee and Jacksonville put on a reasonably good show. Bortles got off to a painfully slow start, completing just four passes for 10 yards through the Jags' first four drives. He never exactly got in a groove, but finally started driving the ball and sustaining drives. He took "just" four sacks four days after getting walloped for eight by the Ravens. Bortles committed a fumble, but the Jags recovered. Bortles hasn't put a lot of positive things on tape, but has had abysmal protection and a revolving door at running back, receiver and tight end. The jury remains out. Rotoworld.com

Blake Bortles (foot) is active for Week 16 against the Titans.

Advice: The word comes straight from the team. Bortles' mid-foot "sprain" is apparently more of a tweak. It's good news for curious Thursday Night Football viewers, but Bortles has been playing absolutely-brutal football. Chad Henne would probably give the Jags a better chance to win, but that's obviously not their top priority right now. Jax needs Bortles to continue his on-the-field development. Bortles has thrown for multiple scores in just 2-of-12 appearances, and is taking an unholy amount of sacks. Rotoworld.com

Saints signed K Dustin Hopkins to their practice squad.

We still like Graham as a solid fantasy kicking play at home against the Falcons Sunday as long as there's no funny business going on with Hopkins. Rotoworld.com

RB Joseph Randle handled the first-team reps during the team portion of Wednesday's practice.

Advice: DeMarco Murray (hand) participated in individual drills and even caught some passes two days after surgery, putting him on track to play against the Colts. But if he can't, Randle would handle the majority of base back duties, including goal-line work. That's key as eight of DeMarco's 11 touchdowns this season have come from three yards out or closer. Advice: Coach Mike Smith has already said he expects Jones to suit up against the Saints, but Smith has proven completely untrustworthy on player injuries. "It’s hard when you don’t know for sure if a guy is going to play," Koetter said. "We kind of have to have a contingency both ways. We have some ‘what if Julio plays,’ and some ‘what if Julio does not play.’ ... That’s one of the hardest things about not knowing if one of your best guys is going to go." Over the last three games, he's averaging 14.6 carries, 4.6 catches and has scored one touchdown. Advice: Murray is currently having surgery to repair a broken band on his left hand. His status for Week 16 is uncertain. Advice: Per Smith, Jones has "improved last week to this week." It's great news, but should be taken with a major grain of salt. Smith is consistently wrong with his public-injury proclamations. Jones didn't appear particularly close to suiting up against the Steelers, but he was always going to be up against it on a short week. Advice: Unless Bortles has the mildest foot sprain ever, we'd consider him more doubtful than questionable to take the field in a little over 72 hours. It's unclear when Bortles suffered the injury in Sunday's (latest) loss, as he played 69-of-69 snaps. Advice: Thomas saw an uptick in snaps from Week 14, but he was still extremely limited. He was used in surefire passing situations and in the red zone, posting a 1-30 receiving line on two targets. Virgil Green handled 50 snaps. Advice: Smith battled a knee sprain in Week 14, which limited him to 15 snaps. He barely practiced ahead of the Jacksonville game and was listed as probable, though some Ravens beat writers believed Smith was closer to doubtful. It didn't end up that way. Smith played his normal snap rate, but did nothing with his three targets, catching just two of them for 16 yards. He dropped the other one and also took a holding penalty. Julius Thomas caught one pass for 30 yards in Sunday's Week 15 win at San Diego.

Advice: Thomas was expected to be a full-go as he came off his ankle injury. The Broncos didn't see it that way, only using him in obvious passing situations and a little bit in the red-zone. Blocker Virgil Green was the primary tight end. It resulted in just one target for Thomas, who was in on one of the first 12 snaps and didn't appear to be moving all too well. Advice: Continuing to operate as Minnesota's feature back, Asiata got the Vikings on the board with a first-quarter two-yard touchdown run. The Vikings trust Asiata more than Ben Tate and Joe Banyard, particularly in pass protection. So that means Asiata will continue to get lead back work despite his ineffectiveness on the field. Concerned players from both teams huddled around him before he was helped off the field. Gore was running reasonably well before going down, taking the rock 11 times for 29 yards and a touchdown. Shorts' six catches were his most since Week 6, while the 76 yards are his third-best mark of 2014. Advice: Bortles took eight sacks and has been dropped for 46 of them in 11 starts. The Jaguars' best chance at finding the end zone came when they got down to the nine-yard line, but Bortles took back-to-back sacks back to around the 30 and settled for a field goal. • Julio Jones' (hip) status still undetermined
NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports Julio Jones (hip) remains a "legitimate game-time decision."

Advice: Jones was able to run on Saturday after not practicing all week, but the team still wants to put him through a pre-game workout before making a decision on his status. Inactives are due in about an hour and 40 minutes for the Steelers and Falcons' 1 PM ET kickoff. Even if Jones plays, he may end up a mere decoy. Rotoworld.com

    • Julio Jones 'can barely run,' would be decoy
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter said Julio Jones (hip, questionable) "can barely run" and would be a "decoy" if he does play.

Advice: Ledbetter went on to say he does not think Jones will be active Week 15 against the Steelers. Jones' playing status likely will not be determined until Sunday morning, but it appears Jones will be at far less than 100 percent even if he suits up. Jones is shaping up as a player to avoid even in an excellent matchup against the Steelers' leaky secondary. Rotoworld.com

    • Charles Clay questionable for Week 15
Charles Clay (hamstring, knee) remained limited in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 15.

Advice: Clay will play through his hamstring/knee issues. He's a TE2 for Sunday's matchup with New England. Rotoworld.com

    • Torrey Smith listed as probable
Updating a previous item, Torrey Smith (knee) is listed as probable for Week 15.

Advice: According to beat writer Aaron Wilson, however, "it's more like questionable to doubtful." Even if Torrey plays against the Jaguars, it's quite conceivable he could again be on a snap count. He's someone to avoid in fantasy. Rotoworld.com

    • Broncos list Julius Thomas probable for Wk 15
Julius Thomas (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 15 at San Diego.

Advice: He practiced fully Friday and will be all systems go against the Chargers. We prefer Martellus Bennett over Thomas this week, but Orange Julius remains a top-four tight end play in his first game back. It's conceivable Peyton Manning will try to "get him going" after Thomas missed the past three weeks. Rotoworld.com

    • Torrey Smith pessimistic about availability
Torrey Smith (questionable, knee) hinted Friday that it might be better if he doesn't play in Week 15 against the Jaguars.

Advice: Smith called his availability dependent on his own pain tolerance. "Sometimes, it's better for coach to save me from myself," he said. We're betting against Smith playing Sunday versus Jacksonville, which would give Kamar Aiken the start opposite Steve Smith Sr. Marlon Brown could also have a bigger role. Rotoworld.com

    • Julio listed questionable for Week 15 vs. PIT
Julio Jones (hip) is questionable for Week 15 against the Steelers.

Advice: As expected. The Falcons aren't going to give us anything besides coach Mike Smith's rosy outlooks. Jones is shaping up as a real game-time decision after a round of DNPs this week. He's an obvious must-start against Steelers RCB William Gay if he plays, but Jones will be someone to watch Sunday morning. Rotoworld.com

Torrey Smith (knee) returned to practice Friday.

Advice: However, he looked "extremely gimpy and uncomfortable" while running routes due to his sprained right knee. We're not expecting Smith to play vs. Jacksonville. Rotoworld.com

    • Julio Jones misses another practice Friday
Julio Jones (hip) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Advice: Jones is shaping up as a full-blown game-time decision. Expect him to be listed as questionable on the final injury report this afternoon. Jones is a must-start if he's active against the Steelers, but owners need to have other options at the ready in case he can't play. Harry Douglas would be next up for Atlanta. Rotoworld.com

    • Julius Thomas fully expected to play vs. SD
ESPN Broncos reporter Jeff Legwold believes Julius Thomas (ankle) will play Week 15 against the Chargers.

Advice: That's been the expectation all week after Thomas was active for Week 14 but didn't play. He's been practicing on a limited basis, but that's just a way for the Broncos to manage Thomas' reps. Thomas will be a top-three fantasy option at tight end and should be close to 100 percent. Confidently start him. Rotoworld.com

Torrey Smith (knee) remained sidelined on Thursday.

Julius Thomas (ankle) practiced again on Thursday.

Advice: Thomas was "limited" on Wednesday, and remained so on Thursday. Thomas, of course, was "active" for Week 14, but didn't play a snap. He was clearly only up for emergency purposes. Thomas has said he feels "far better" about his Week 15 odds of giving it a go. He'll be a top-five TE1 against the Chargers if he can get back on the field. Rotoworld.com

Charles Clay (hamstring, knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Torrey Smith (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: Smith played through his knee sprain last week, but was limited to 15 snaps. He should be considered questionable for Week 15 against Jacksonville. Kamar Aiken would likely draw the start if Smith is held out. Rotoworld.com

Julius Thomas (ankle) is practicing Wednesday.

Advice: Thomas practiced all last week before not playing a single snap against the Bills. He's fully expected to suit up for Week 15. Orange Julius will be a top-three option at tight end. He should be at or near 100 percent. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Torrey Smith 'long shot' for Week 15
Sports With Coleman reports Torrey Smith (sprained knee) is a "long shot" to suit up for Week 15.

Advice: This isn't a typical Rotoworld source, so take it with a grain of salt. According to Coleman, Smith's knee is "quite sore." It's not surprising considering Smith's knee swelled up before Sunday's game, limiting him to 15 snaps as a decoy. Smith's status will be updated no later than Wednesday afternoon. Rotoworld.com

Julius Thomas (ankle) plans to play in Sunday's game at San Diego.

Advice: Although Thomas didn't play a snap against the Bills, he was among the 46 active players. It's a surefire sign he's close to 100 percent. Expect Thomas to practice every day this week and suit up as a top-3 fantasy tight end option Sunday. Rotoworld.com
