  • Le'Veon doesn't travel for 3rd preseason game
Following Wednesday's marijuana and DUI arrest, Le'Veon Bell did not travel with the Steelers for Thursday night's third preseason game at Philadelphia.

Advice: LeGarrette Blount did make the trip after being arrested as well. There could be some significance to this, but we're not adjusting our rankings yet, and may not at any point. The NFL tends to take a long time to hand down discipline, and Bell has no history of violating league policy. He was considered a high-character prospect coming out of Michigan State in the 2013 draft. It's entirely possible Bell will be available for the entire 2014 season with no adjustment to his role. Colts GM Ryan Grigson says Trent Richardson "needs to answer the bell" and be "accountable."

Advice: Richardson gained eight yards on his first preseason carry, and has 26 yards on his last 13. "Trent, he needs to answer the bell and do his job to the best of his ability," said Grigson. "We're all accountable here. ... He's such a hard runner, we know how tough he is, but he's got to produce just like all these guys do on this final 53." If this was an outward expression of disappointment from Grigson, it'd be a first from the Colts' organization, which has propped up T-Rich at every opportunity since trading for him last September. Richardson's ADP has finally begun to dip. He's going late in the fifth round of standard drafts. Rotoworld.com

After attending the Broncos-Texans joint practices, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora came away believing Montee Ball (appendectomy) could play in Denver's preseason finale.

Advice: Per La Canfora, Ball is "doing a little bit more each day," and may ultimately make a "rapid" return. Advice: Jackson hasn't done much since injuring his hammy July 29. But Smith said there's a chance Jackson will play a few snaps in the preseason finale. Jackson doesn't necessarily need any exhibition work, but we'd feel more comfortable if he actually got on the field and took some handoffs. His ADP has been on the decline for weeks now. Through two preseason games, Hill's rushed for 52 yards on nine totes (5.7 YPC). The Bengals will update Hill following the game. Rotoworld.com

  • Trent Richardson still not producing
Trent Richardson managed 21 yards on nine carries in the Colts' second preseason game Saturday night, adding a four-yard reception.

Advice: He's now at 34 yards on 14 carries (2.43 YPC) through two exhibition affairs. We saw some praise on Twitter for Richardson's running against the Giants, but the production still isn't there. He remains an incredibly dicey fantasy investment. We did notice Richardson execute a strong first-quarter pass block. Pass protection has been one of Richardson's weaknesses to this point. Rotoworld.com

  • Rams believe RB Isaiah Pead has torn ACL
Coach Jeff Fisher said after Saturday night's preseason game the Rams believe RB Isaiah Pead has a torn ACL.

Advice: The 50th overall pick in the 2012 draft, this should solidify Pead as a bust in St. Louis. He had been relegated to special teams after falling behind Zac Stacy, Benny Cunningham, and rookie Tre Mason on the running back chart. Rotoworld.com

Isaiah Pead will undergo an MRI Sunday on his knee.

Advice: Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the "prospects aren't good." Pead left Saturday's game in the first quarter after suffering a non-contact knee injury. He could be headed to injured reserve. Rotoworld.com

  • Knowshon Moreno (knee) ruled inactive
Knowshon Moreno (knee) is inactive for Saturday night's preseason game.

Advice: Moreno was cleared for contact Monday, but isn't ready for game action. Barring a setback, he should be available for Miami's regular-season dress rehearsal against the Cowboys next week. Rotoworld.com

  • Isaiah Pead suffers leg injury
Isaiah Pead was forced from Saturday's preseason game with a leg injury

Advice: Pead got hurt on a kick return in the first quarter. It was a non-contact injury, so this has potential to be serious. Pead had to be helped off the field and was later carted to the locker room. The Rams should provide an update on his status after the game. Rotoworld.com

CSN Washington believes RB Chris Thompson (ankle) will make the Redskins' final roster.

Advice: Coach Jay Gruden recently expressed frustration at Thompson's inability to stay on the field, prompting speculation that his roster spot was in question. Thompson may be safe now, but that could change if he is unable play in Washington's third and fourth preseason games. Rotoworld.com

  • Mark Ingram finds end-zone again
Mark Ingram had five carries for 19 yards in Friday night's preseason game against the Titans, adding one catch for 23 yards and a touchdown.

Advice: It's the second straight week Ingram has found the end-zone after he scored a 22-yard touchdown in the preseason opener. Ingram and Khiry Robinson rotated with the first team, with Pierre Thomas getting snaps on passing downs. The Saints are going to remain a three-back committee despite trading Darren Sproles. Ingram is a value pick at his current late 12th-round ADP. Rotoworld.com

  • Tomlin: Blount may be more than just RZ back
Coach Mike Tomlin indicated LeGarrette Blount may be more than just a red-zone, goal-line back.

Advice: "They're both going to get their share," Tomlin said of Blount and Le'Veon Bell. "We'll deal with that on a game-by-game basis based on the plan." In the preseason opener, Blount received two consecutive red-zone carries while also seeing a third-down rep. The Steelers have been hinting at a possible mix-and-match committee-style approach since signing Blount and drafting Dri Archer. Blount stealing goal-line and occasional work between the 20s from Bell would be a big hit to Bell's stock. He's hard to get behind as a first- or early-second round pick in fantasy drafts. Blount's value is great in the 11th. Rotoworld.com

  • Tomlin: Bell & Blount will 'get their share'
Speaking Thursday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount are "both going to get their share" of carries this season.

Advice: It's an eye-opening comment, especially after Blount split first-team work with Bell in last weekend's preseason opener. While we're not afraid that Blount will supplant Bell as the Steelers' No. 1 back, perhaps Blount could find himself in the 10-12 carry range on a weekly basis instead of the 6-8 the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette projected in June. It's not a situation for Bell owners to take lightly. Blount is most likely to steal work near the goal-line despite the fact there's no real reason to believe he's a better short-yardage back than Bell. Rotoworld.com

  • Moreno starting to look like 'old self'
Dolphins coach Joe Philbin believes Knowshon Moreno (knee) is "starting to look like kind of his old self," but is unsure if he'll suit up for Saturday's preseason game against the Bucs.

Advice: Moreno was just cleared for contact on Monday, so it's unlikely he's ready for game action. He's trending in the right direction for the Dolphins' regular-season dress rehearsal against the Cowboys on August 23, however. That's a game Moreno can't afford to miss in his battle with Lamar Miller. Rotoworld.com

  • Trent Richardson off to great start in camp?
The Indianapolis Star's Stephen Holder says Trent Richardson is "off to a great start" at Colts training camp.

Advice: The sample size was small, but T-Rich managed 13 yards on five carries in the Colts' exhibition opener, showing hesitance and lacking impressive first-step burst. Holder says it's been a different story on the practice field, where Richardson has reportedly run with "determination and decisiveness." T-Rich also claims he's healthier now than he was in each of his first two NFL training camps. Richardson offers lots of theoretical upside at his fifth-round ADP, but drafters need to be absolutely certain to handcuff him with Ahmad Bradshaw. Rotoworld.com

Arian Foster (hamstring) is participating in Wednesday's joint practice with the Falcons.

Advice: Foster suffered what was believed to be a hamstring injury on July 27 and participated in one practice since. His return Wednesday gives him an outside shot at getting some work in during Saturday's second preseason game. Foster has upside as a centerpiece of the new Bill O'Brien scheme, but he's draped in injury red flags -- including recurring hamstring issues. Rotoworld.com

Knowshon Moreno (knee) participated in contact drills Monday for the first time since his scope.

Advice: It was Moreno's first full-padded practice since Super Bowl week. He's reportedly in better shape than he was at OTAs and is having no trouble making sharp cuts. Ideally, the Dolphins will use him as a pass protector and receiving back while Lamar Miller handles the bulk of the early-down carries. Rotoworld.com

  • Lighter McCoy looks 'better than ever'
According to ESPN Eagles reporter Phil Sheridan, LeSean McCoy looks "better than ever."

Advice: Now in his true prime at 26 years old, McCoy is playing with a top-3 offensive line and in a run-first scheme. He's dropped a few pounds off his '13 playing weight, reportedly gaining even more quickness and agility. "McCoy seems better at getting out into pass routes and catching the ball. He teases defenders who try to cover him," Sheridan said. McCoy is our No. 1 overall pick in fantasy drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • Skins frustrated with RB Thompson's injuries
Coach Jay Gruden expressed frustration with RB Chris Thompson's inability to stay healthy.

Advice: "It's disappointing," Gruden said. "He's got to figure out how to stay healthy." Thompson tore his ACL in October 2012 at Florida State, and landed on I.R. with a torn labrum in his shoulder last season. He's now dealing with a low-ankle sprain, causing him to miss the past five days. After a strong spring that had the team excited about Thompson, he's now on the roster bubble. Rotoworld.com

  • Steven Jackson (hammy) doing agility drills
Steven Jackson performed some agility drills on Monday for the first time since suffering a left hamstring injury on July 28.

Advice: Jackson has yet to progress to sprinting, but this can be considered a step forward nonetheless. The 31-year-old is unlikely to see much, if any, preseason work. Coach Mike Smith continues to insist S-Jax will be ready for the Week 1 opener. He's a roll-of-the-dice RB2. On the surface, Jackson could be a value pick at his current late seventh-round ADP. But we tend to shy away from running backs on the wrong side of 30 who have lower-body injury questions. Rotoworld.com

Chris Polk missed the Eagles' preseason opener with a hamstring strain.

  • Kenjon Barner's roster spot in jeopardy?
The Associated Press has "growing concern" over Kenjon Barner sticking on the final roster.

Advice: It would be a bit of a surprise as Barner brings value as a possible return man and only needs to hold off Darrin Reaves for No. 4 running back duties. Still, the early part of Barner's career has not been promising. He earned just eight touches from scrimmage as a rookie while battling foot/ankle issues. Barner's pass protection has been an issue at camp. Rotoworld.com
