    • ‘No news to report’ on Zach Wilson trade market
Jets GM Joe Douglas said there’s “just no news to report” regarding a potential trade of QB Zach Wilson.

Advice: The Jets are reportedly waiting for an acceptable offer for the former No. 2 overall pick but there’s presumably a significant delta between what the Jets consider acceptable vs. what the league considers. Wilson, who has been a regular participant in offseason activities over the last three years was noticeably absent from voluntary workouts this week. He was given permission to speak with other teams about a potential trade, but it doesn’t appear anything significant came from that. If Wilson isn’t traded, the Jets are reportedly ready to keep him for the upcoming season. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

    • Should be ready for training camp
Dobbins (Achilles), who agreed to terms with the Chargers on Thursday, "should be" ready for training camp according to GM Joe Hortiz, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Tom Pelissero of NFL Network relayed last month that Dobbins -- who suffered a torn Achilles in Baltimore's regular-season opener in 2023 -- has been cleared for football activities, with previous reports having noted that the running back had resumed running this offseason. Based on the assessment of Hortiz on Thursday, Dobbins is still working his way back from his injury, but if the 2020 second-rounder is able to return to form, he and Gus Edwards (who also came over from the Ravens in free agency) have a chance to provide an effective 1-2 punch in the Chargers' backfield in 2024 under the guidance of offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who both players worked with in Baltimore. • Visits with Chargers
Chark visited the Chargers on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Advice: Few teams are more in need of wide receivers, with the Chargers having released Mike Williams and traded Keenan Allen earlier this offseason. Chark has never come close to matching his 1,008-yard, eight-TD performance in 2019 for Jacksonville, but he did top 500 yards both of the past two seasons in Detroit and Carolina, starting 21 of 26 games along the way. Chark will turn 28 in September and doesn't figure to command a large contract. Rotowire.com Today, 6:53 am

    • Former Panthers WR DJ Chark visits with Chargers
Chargers hosted WR DJ Chark for a visit.

Advice: Chark, who had 35 receptions for 525 yards and five touchdowns in Carolina in 2023, would profile as a potential starter for LA. With one 1,000-yard season in seven years in the NFL, Chark, 27, functions strictly as a deep threat. Even if the Chargers take a top wideout in the NFL Draft, Chark could see significant playing time in Greg Roman’s run-first offense. Rotoworld Today, 6:47 am

    • No concern about OTA absence
Broncos GM George Paton suggested Thursday that he isn't worried about Sutton's absence from voluntary offseason workouts, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. "It's 100 percent voluntary," Paton said. "It's the first week of the offseason program. I've talked to Courtland. He's in a good place, and I'll just leave it at that."

Advice: Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Tuesday that Sutton's absence from voluntary OTAs is related to wanting a new contract. The wideout has two years and approximately $27.6 million remaining on his current deal, with only $2 million of that guaranteed. It's not the type of situation with especially high risk for a holdout, and Sutton looks to be especially important for Denver's offense after the team traded WR Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in the offseason. It's not yet clear who will start across from Sutton at wide receiver, nor is it clear who will get the nod under center Week 1. The Broncos still have a lot to work out this spring and summer, with the upcoming NFL Draft presumably being a piece of that puzzle. Rotowire.com Today, 6:36 am

    • Broncos GM: Courtland Sutton ‘in a good place’
Broncos GM George Paton believes Courtland Sutton is “in a good place” despite his absence from voluntary OTAs.

Advice: With his contract situation in limbo — Sutton is guaranteed only $2 million for 2024 — the veteran wideout is opting out of “voluntary” practice. Paton has opted for diplomacy instead of irritation. “It’s the first week of the offseason program. (Coach Sean Payton has) talked to Courtland. I’ve talked to Courtland. He’s in a good place and we’ll just leave it at that.” It is very much up in the air whether Sutton will return to the Mile High City for 2024, but the matter could be settled during next week’s draft. • Chargers GM: Dobbins ‘should be’ ready for camp
Chargers GM Joe Hortiz believes newly-signed RB J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) “should be” ready for training camp.

Advice: “Should” is doing a lot of work here, especially since Dobbins’ 2023 injury is only one of multiple traumatic lower-body issues suffered during his four-year NFL career. Hortiz also admitted the obvious that Dobbins’ signing should not affect the Chargers’ odds of selecting a back in the draft. “You don’t want to turn away from a good player because you’ve signed someone.” At least in terms of fantasy, Dobbins is squarely in the realm of “any 2024 contributions will be a bonus.” Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:55 pm

    • Jaguars still working on extension with Lawrence
Jaguars GM Trent Baalke said the team is still working toward a contract extension with Trevor Lawrence.

Advice: Baalke said the team is trying “not to force anything” but acknowledged that he spoke recently with Lawrence’s agent. Lawrence is heading into the fourth year of his rookie deal and will presumably have his fifth year exercised later this offseason. Lawrence has thrown for 11,770-58-39 through his first three seasons in the league, going 20-30 in his first 50 starts and 17-16 in a post-Urban Meyer world. He led the Jaguars to the playoffs in 2022 and led them to an inspiring comeback win over the Chargers in his first playoff game. It seems apparent at this point that both sides hope to get a deal done but with essentially two years left on his rookie contract, it’s no surprise that neither is rushing to get a deal done. • Zay Flowers won’t face discipline from league
The NFL announced Ravens WR Zay Flowers will not face league discipline after determining there was insufficient evidence to support Flowers’ involvement in anything that violated the league’s personal conduct policy.

Advice: Flowers is eligible to participate in all team activities. The second-year receiver was temporarily under investigation for his alleged involvement in a domestic assault incident, but that investigation was ultimately suspended by the Baltimore County Police, and Flowers was never charged with anything. Flowers is coming off a rookie season in which he totaled 77 receptions for 858 yards and five touchdowns and is expected to take a significant leap forward in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:48 pm
