• Report: Juwan Johnson suffered lower leg injury
NOF’s Nick Underhill reports Saints TE Juwan Johnson suffered a lower leg injury and is expected to miss a “good amount of time.”

Advice: The report of Johnson’s lower leg injury comes after the Saints concluded minicamp and he is expected to miss extended time, likely into training camp. The Saints tried out UFL TE Sal Cannella today and also have Foster Moreau, Taysom Hill, and UDFA Dallin Holker on the roster. Later updates will give an idea of just how long Johnson will be out. He totaled 37 receptions for 368 yards and four touchdowns last season, finishing as a fantasy TE2. If he is healthy for the beginning of the season, Johnson will be at TE2 value once again. • JSN exits Seahawks minicamp with shoulder issue
Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta reports Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba left Wednesday’s practice early with a shoulder issue.

Advice: Though Smith-Njigba left practice, head coach Mike Macdonald indicated it is not a serious issue. Fellow receiver Laviska Shenault also left early after injuring his toe while offensive tackle George Fant did not practice due to load management. The Seahawks have a few minor injuries through minicamp, but nothing has yet to indicate a serious issue amidst the reports. Macdonald ended minicamp early for the team, so the next updates for Smith-Njigba and the others will come later. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:11 pm

  • Joining Jacksonville
The Jaguars signed Trammell on Wednesday.

Advice: The fourth-year wide receiver out of Rice spent the last three seasons with the Rams and Falcons, but he has now found a new home in Jacksonville. Trammell saw the most action of his career in 2023 when he served as the Rams' top return man, tallying 183 punt return yards and 101 kick return yards while also putting the ball on the ground three times. He's expected to compete for a similar role with the Jaguars as the offseason progresses. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:03 pm

  • O’Connell says Darnold is QB1 heading into camp
Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said Sam Darnold is the team’s QB1 heading into training camp.

Advice: Darnold is the veteran of Minnesota’s quarterback room and has been the first-string quarterback throughout the offseason program, so O’Connell’s comments should come as no surprise. They don’t guarantee Darnold the starting job for Week 1 either. O’Connell also mentioned wanting to create a competitive environment for his quarterbacks in training camp. Redraft fantasy managers can ignore this quarterback room for now as it’s safe to assume we will see Darnold and first-round rookie J.J. McCarthy at some point this year. Best ball drafters will want to pair McCarthy with at least one locked-in starter if they want to take him as a late-round quarterback. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:59 pm

  • Past Achilles injury
Rogers (Achilles) was spotted participating during the Commanders' OTAs, Bryan Manning of USA Today reports.

Advice: Rogers missed all of Washington's 2023 campaign due to a torn Achilles tendon, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. The 26-year-old appeared in 11 games in 2022, catching five of his six targets for 64 yards while playing 375 total snaps (158 on offense). Now that Rogers is back at full health, he's expected to compete for a depth role in the Commanders' tight end room. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:08 pm

  • Jags sign special teamer Austin Trammell
Jaguars signed WR Austin Trammell, formerly of the Rams.

Advice: The Jaguars released interior offensive lineman Jack Anderson in a corresponding move. Trammell earned just 10 targets through three NFL seasons, largely operating as a special teams contributor. His 0.6 missed tackles forced per punt return rank seventh among 26 NFL players with at least 25 total returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:08 pm

  • Feels faster than ever
Robinson said Wednesday he's measured new career-high GPS speeds in practice and feels a "night and day" difference physically compared to last offseason, when he was rehabbing from a serious knee injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Advice: Robinson had his rookie year cut short due to an ACL tear, and while the 2022 second-round pick played 15 regular-season games in 2023 en route to a 60-525-1 receiving line, it's reasonable to believe that his knee was still less than 100 percent. A truly healthy offseason should pave the road to Robinson taking a step forward Year 3, especially with the addition of rookie first-rounder Malik Nabers to attract the focus of opposing defenses, though there will be questions about this passing game's overall effectiveness, especially with starter Daniel Jones (knee) now rehabbing from an ACL tear of his own. Darius Slayton (undisclosed) also figures to start in three-wide sets, with Jalin Hyatt, Allen Robinson Isaiah Hodgins and Isaiah McKenzie competing for depth reps. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:53 pm

  • Finishes up minicamp strong
Boutte turned in a strong effort during Wednesday's mandatory minicamp session, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Advice: On the last day of minicamp practice prior to the Patriots' summer break, Boutte logged a team-high five catches during team drills, which Lazar notes included a sequence in which the 2023 sixth-rounder reeled in three consecutive scores. As the coming season approaches, Boutte will have to compete with the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, K.J. Osborn, Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor for slotting in a wideout corps that also includes Kendrick Bourne, who's bouncing back from a knee injury, as well as likely roster locks in the youthful trio of DeMario Douglas, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. Additionally, it's possible that Boutte faces NFL discipline stemming from his January arrest and subsequent charges of computer fraud and gaming prohibited for persons under 21. • Dealing with minor injury
Bellinger has been limited during spring practices due to an undisclosed injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Advice: It's the second time the tight end has been in the news this week after Darren Waller's retirement put Bellinger in good position for a starting job. The Giants also have rookie fourth-round pick Theo Johnson as a potential receiving threat at the position, but Bellinger figures to handle most of the first-team reps at the start of training camp. Coach Brian Daboll downplayed the injury Wednesday, so he seemingly expects Bellinger to be ready for camp. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:44 am
