  • Ebron has three-catch day on Thanksgiving
Eric Ebron caught 3-of-4 targets for 23 yards in Detroit's Week 13 win over the Bears.

Advice: Ebron had the matchup of a lifetime in a Bears defense bleeding fantasy points to tight ends, but couldn't manage his second four-catch day of the season. Ebron has posted either 22 or 23 yards in each of his past four games, a difficult feat. The first tight end off the board in May's draft is currently on pace for just 27/247/1. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandon Marshall has disappointing Week 13
Brandon Marshall caught 6-of-11 targets for 42 yards in Chicago's Week 13 loss to the Lions.

Advice: It was a disappointing day for Marshall, who appeared to tweak something early, and committed two drops. He was the target on Jay Cutler's first interception. With 75 percent of the season now in the books, Marshall is on pace for just 77/880/11. Both the yards and catches would be his fewest since his rookie year in 2006. Rotoworld.com

  • Joique Bell totals 107 yards, 2 TDs vs. Bears
Joique Bell rushed 23 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions' Week 13 win over the Bears, adding two catches for an additional 16 yards.

Advice: The rushing yards were Bell's most of the season, while the two-TD effort was his first of 2014. Bell continued to look slippery, getting around the edge and fitting through tight spaces for extra yards. His play has come on at the right time for Detroit. Bell will remain the RB2 conversation for the fantasy playoffs, as the Lions have an unusually soft schedule. Rotoworld.com

  • Jay Cutler throws two scores in Thursday loss
Jay Cutler completed 31-of-49 passes for 280 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Chicago's 34-17, Week 13 loss to the Lions.

Advice: Cutler got off to a hot start, tossing both of his scores in the first quarter, but couldn't sustain it as the Bears tried to dink and dunk against the Lions' fearsome defense. Any sack or penalty essentially killed a Bears drive this afternoon. Cutler's first pick was to a tightly-covered Brandon Marshall, and should have never left his hand. Cutler was literally fading away off his back foot. His second was a pointless, desperation heave as time expired on the Bears' latest dispiriting loss. Cutler is not the main problem for a Bears team that's far-too often out-competed, but he hasn't been helping, either. He'll be a borderline QB1 against the Cowboys next Thursday. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Highly unlikely RG3 back with Skins
Sources tell the Washington Post it's "highly unlikely" Robert Griffin III will return to the Redskins next season.

Advice: On draft day in 2012, the Redskins gave the Rams their first-round picks in 2012, 2013 and 2014 in addition to a 2012 second-rounder for the right to take Griffin No. 2 overall. He was spectacular while leading the Redskins to the playoffs as a rookie, but suffered a career-altering ACL tear in the Wild Card game against the Seahawks. Since then, RG3 has tanked in terms of on-field performance, getting benched by Mike Shanahan late last year and again by Jay Gruden this year. Gruden appears to have convinced meddling owner Dan Snyder that the Redskins need to find a quarterback that fits his pocket-passer scheme, meaning Griffin can likely be had for pennies on the dollar this offseason. According to the New York Daily News, both Rex Ryan and OC Marty Mornhinweg were among those that wanted Michael Vick to keep starting over Geno Smith.

Advice: It speaks volumes about the coaching staff's lack of faith in Geno. Although Vick looked completely lost on the field in Detroit Monday night, the last thing they want to do is turn back to their 2013 second-round pick. "Does he give you a good chance to win? Or a chance to win? I believe he does give us a chance to win," said Ryan, who doesn't want a public battle with the front office as he prepares to start looking for another job this offseason. Advice: Unfortunately, we'll all be subjected to this nightmare of a quarterback situation on Monday Night Football. At this point, it doesn't even matter who starts under center for the Jets. Both Smith and Michael Vick are beyond horrible, having nothing but a negative effect on the entire pass game. • Redskins to announce Griffin's benching
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Redskins will announce Wednesday that Robert Griffin III has been benched for Colt McCoy.

Advice: After watching Redskins tape, NFL Films' Greg Cosell recently noted that RG3 "needs to go back to QB school." He is a mess mechanically and seems to have lost all of his confidence during an abysmal third NFL season. Per Schefter, the Skins still view Griffin as a "significant" part of their long-term plan, and hope to add better talent around him this offseason. With LT Trent Williams (knee/ankle) banged up, they'll throw McCoy to the dogs. Griffin is safe to drop in fantasy leagues of all sizes. RGIII was positively dreadful in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, but received little help from his teammates, particularly his offensive line. Nevertheless, 11 completions for 106 yards is not acceptable at the NFL level, and Griffin will be at risk of in-game benchings for the rest of the season. Ryan Tannehill completed 26-of-36 passes for 228 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Miami's 39-36, Week 12 loss to the Broncos, adding four rushes for 15 yards and an additional score.

Advice: Today was the first time in Tannehill's 43-game career that he accounted for four total touchdowns. Tannehill was on point from the beginning, being decisive in the pocket, and accurate on the run. He had a hard time keeping up with Peyton Manning, however, as injuries mounted for the Dolphins' defense. Tannehill's pick was a tipped pass thrown to a tightly-covered Jarvis Landry. A second INT was overturned by defensive holding. It wasn't a perfect game, but Tannehill did all that could reasonably be expected in a high-scoring road jaunt. • Robert Griffin III struggles mightily (again)
Robert Griffin III completed 11-of-19 passes for 106 yards and rushed four times for 11 yards in the Redskins' Week 12 loss to San Francisco.

Advice: He took five sacks and lost a fumble on Washington's final offensive play. One week after RG3 almost single-handedly torpedoed Jay Gruden's offense, the Skins' coaching staff attempted to simplify things for their quarterback by running the ball with a lot of volume against San Francisco's normally stout defensive front. Griffin essentially functioned as a game manager, doing nothing to help a red-hot Alfred Morris. The Skins stayed competitive for longer than expected in this game, but not because of their quarterback. We suppose Griffin deserves credit for "playing hard" against a swarming 49ers' pass rush, although we tend to believe all football players should "play hard." Not even in the fantasy QB1 conversation any longer, Griffin will be a risky two-quarterback-league option in Week 13 against the Colts. Rotoworld.com

He had a long run of just 10 yards, and didn't get any red-zone chances. Ben Tate didn't see the field and isn't a threat to McKinnon's role. Marshall escaped the game without any setbacks, and it appears his ankle is no longer an issue. He will be a borderline WR1 against the Lions on Thanksgiving day. Rotoworld.com

  • Jay Cutler has quiet day in Bears' win
Jay Cutler completed 17-of-27 passes for 130 yards and one touchdown Week 12 against the Buccaneers.

Advice: Cutler and the Bears offense struggled mightily in the first half, but three Buccaneer turnovers in the third quarter allowed Chicago to put up 21 quick points. The Bears took the air out of the ball following the turnovers, and Cutler only attempted nine passes total in the second half. Cutler will be a borderline QB1 against the Lions on Thanksgiving day. • Larry Fitzgerald officially inactive
Cardinals declared Larry Fitzgerald (knee) inactive for Sunday's Week 12 game at Seattle.

Advice: Fitzgerald, who was a true-game time call, has an decent chance to be back for a dream Week 13 matchup against the Falcons. Meanwhile, John Brown will start against the Legion of Boom Sunday. The rest of the Cardinals inactives: RB Kerwynn Williams, LB Desmond Bishop, LB Glenn Carson, DT Alameda Ta'amu, DT Ed Stinson, TE Matt Mulligan. Rotoworld.com

  • Larry Fitzgerald won't play against Seahawks
Larry Fitzgerald (knee) will not play in Sunday's Week 12 game at Seattle.

Advice: Fighting a Grade 2 MCL sprain, Fitzgerald just isn't quite ready. Considering he was a true game-time call, we suspect he'll be ready for a nice Week 13 matchup against the Falcons. John Brown, the exact kind of receiver that gives the Legion of Boom problems, will start opposite Michael Floyd. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: RG3 will be on short leash against SF
Sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Robert Griffin III will be on a short leash in Sunday's Week 12 game at San Francisco.

Advice: The Redskins dysfunction continues. Taking over as "Raiders East," they're now leaking that they could yank RG3 in favor of Colt McCoy -- either during Sunday's game or ahead of Week 13. Head coach Jay Gruden sharply criticized Griffin's fundamentals this week and even said the 2012 No. 2 overall pick has been "coddled." The Redskins, 0-2 since RG3 returned from a dislocated ankle, are 9.5-point underdogs Sunday. There's a disconnect between Gruden, who clearly wants a new franchise quarterback, and the front office. • Fitzgerald needs a 'miracle' to play Week 12
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "it would take a miracle" for Larry Fitzgerald (knee) to play Week 12 against the Seahawks.

Advice: Fitzgerald didn't practice at all this week and appears to be on the wrong side of the questionable tag. He's battling a sprained MCL. If Fitzgerald sits, Michael Floyd and John Brown will start at receiver with Jaron Brown filling in as the No. 3. John Brown would make for an interesting play against a Seahawks defense that tends to get burned by smaller, faster receivers. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Redskins throw support behind Gruden
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports coach Jay Gruden has received support from upper management following his comments on Robert Griffin III this past week.

Advice: It's been hot at Redskins headquarters since RGIII threw his teammates under the bus after last week's home loss to Tampa Bay. Gruden fired back at his quarterback, saying RGIII needs to worry about himself. Coach also said the "clock's ticking" for RGIII and he's "auditioned long enough." Colt McCoy is a good bet to see more action before the end of the season. The higher-ups in D.C. backing the coach is a change from 2013 when RGIII was the club's golden boy who could do no wrong. Jordan Cameron (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 12 at Atlanta.

Advice: The good news is he practiced and is making progress. The bad news is the few fantasy owners who've continued to roster Cameron through his injury-plagued year will not have him available in a favorable matchup. Cameron does seem to be on track to return for Week 13, although that's not a guarantee. We'll have several updates on his chances of playing next week. Rotoworld.com

  • Norv: Jerick McKinnon still Vikes' No. 1 back
Vikings OC Norv Turner insists Jerick McKinnon is still the team's top back despite the addition of Ben Tate.

Advice: "We’re excited about Jerick and what he’s done and I see him as our running back," Norval said. According to Turner, Tate is just an "insurance" policy with McKinnon battling a minor back injury and Matt Asiata (concussion) unlikely for Week 12. If Tate is going to threaten McKinnon's No. 1 status, it's not going to be in Week 12 with just four days to learn the playbook. McKinnon will be a boom-or-bust RB2 against the Packers. • RG3's work ethic a growing concern
Based on conversations with the Redskins' old coaching staff, ESPN's Steve Young stated that he knows Robert Griffin III "doesn't put the time in."

Advice: "I’ve talked to his previous coaches, people I really trust and admire, that know quarterbacks," Young said. "He doesn’t put the time in." Current Redskins coach Jay Gruden all but confirmed Young's comments by recently stating Griffin has "fundamental flaws" and his footwork is "not even close" to where it needs to be. On Wednesday, Gruden continued to dance around the topic and paint a rose-colored picture. "He could do more probably," Gruden acknowledged, "[but] he studies himself and he comes back with ideas the following day. Whether he's here or not, there's a lot of work you can do. ... I really think he works hard at it. He puts his work in." Dan Snyder will probably have to decide between RG3 and Gruden this offseason. Rotoworld.com

The New York Daily News' Seth Walder believes Geno Smith's Jets days "look to be just about over."

Advice: Walder thinks Smith's chances of sticking around into 2015 are slim if GM John Idzik keeps his job, and even slimmer if Idzik gets canned. Smith had a long leash -- in today's NFL -- as Gang Green's starter, but amassed a disgusting 19:31 TD:INT ratio across 24 starts. The Jets were 9-15 in those games. Rotoworld.com

Coach Mike Zimmer insists Cordarrelle Patterson will be a "really good player," but admits "it just may take a while."

Advice: Despite becoming a starter playing on 77.1 percent of the snaps this season, Patterson has maddeningly taken a step back. He's doesn't have a full grasp of the new offense, doesn't run crisp routes and simply hasn't been open. It's resulted in 2.8 catches for 33.2 yards with one touchdown through 10 games. • Redskins sticking with Robert Griffin III
The Redskins aren't considering benching Robert Griffin III.

Advice: However, coach Jay Gruden was fairly blunt with his assessment of RGIII in Sunday's ugly loss, saying he displayed some "fundamental flaws," and that his footwork was "not even close" to where it needs to be. Gruden's comments run in direct opposition to Griffin's, who largely placed the blame for his dismal performance on his teammates. Gruden took umbrage with those comments. "Robert needs to worry about himself, Gruden said. "I'll worry about everybody else." Griffin is not playing well — and is clearly on his coach's nerves — but remains miles ahead of Colt McCoy and Kirk Cousins. Rotoworld.com
