  • Megatron practicing, hints at game-time call
Calvin Johnson (ankle) is practicing Thursday and suggested a decision on his status could go to Sunday morning.

Advice: A day after getting limited work in, Johnson was encouragingly back cutting and running routes. "We're doing everything from straight-forward running to moving laterally as well," he said. "Things are going good. We're moving in a positive direction." We still suspect it makes tons of sense to hold Megatron out of this game and let him rest through the bye, but the Lions aren't tipping their hand yet. This game will kick off in the afternoon in London, meaning word on Johnson's status might not come down until roughly 8:30am ET. Rotoworld.com

  • Fitzgerald regrets not going to Johnson more
Ryan Fitzpatrick admitted he "didn't get it to Andre [Johnson] nearly enough early" in Monday's loss to the Steelers.

Advice: Johnson finished with 5-77-0 on nine targets, but had just one catch for four yards through the first three quarters. After the game, coach Bill O'Brien said that Johnson was open throughout. It sounds like we have a bit of a squeaky wheel getting greased situation heading into this week's game against the Titans. • DEN won't do deals with Thomases in-season
The Broncos do not expect to do new contracts with Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas until after the season is over.

Advice: This doesn't mean the Broncos are necessarily going to lose their superstars. Both Demaryius and Julius are in the final year of their rookie deals, yet GM John Elway will have a window between the end of the season and the free agency period to get new contracts done. He could also slap one with the franchise tag. If allowed to hit the market, Julius will at least get what Jimmy Graham recently landed (four years, $40M with $20.9 guaranteed) and Demaryius will rightfully be asking for Calvin Johnson money (eight years, $150.5M with $60 million guaranteed). • Report: Teams calling about Nate Washington
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports teams have been calling the Titans about Nate Washington's availability.

Advice: This unofficially translates to, "We, the Titans, would love to trade Nate Washington." Already demoted in favor of Justin Hunter, Washington is just taking up roster and cap space on Tennessee's 53, and could probably be had for a conditional seventh-round pick. Unfortunately for the Titans, Washington has a guaranteed $4.8 million base salary and isn't worth half that much. They'd be lucky to get a bag of punctured footballs for him. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Harvin will return kickoffs and possibly punts, but he doesn't know OC Marty Mornhinweg's offense. The Jets will have a couple packages for Harvin on offense, but he's unlikely to play more than 25-30 snaps. It may take a few weeks before Harvin becomes usable in fantasy lineups. The Chargers say defenses are using more press-coverage against Keenan Allen in 2014, leading to his disappointing start to the season.

Advice: "People, they aren't stupid," WRs coach Fred Graves said. "They're not just going to let him run free. They're going to take some things away." Allen has a team-high 34 catches, but has turned them into just 354 scoreless yards. His YAC per reception is down from 6.0 to 2.9 this season. • Giants to use Randle in slot more rest of year
Giants WRs coach Sean Ryan said the team plans to use Rueben Randle in the slot more over the final nine weeks of the season with Victor Cruz (knee) done for the year.

Advice: "The other guy that can do certain things in the slot for us is Reuben because he's smart and he's a big target in the middle of the field," Ryan said. Randle is averaging nearly 10 targets per game the past five weeks, and is the No. 23 overall PPR-scoring wide receiver over the past six. Getting him in the slot is just another way to get the ball in his hands. At 6'3/210, he's a mismatch for smaller nickel corners. Randle has picked up his play and put himself into WR2 consideration. Andre Johnson caught five passes for 77 yards in the Texans' Week 7 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.

Advice: Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins each saw a team-high nine targets. There was nothing special about Johnson's night. His biggest play was a 24-yard grab on a deep in route in front of the safeties. Johnson has just one touchdown on the season. He could have had another on Monday if Ryan Fitzpatrick would have hit him in stride on a corner route in the end zone. But Fitzpatrick overshot Johnson, who had a step on the defensive back. • Jets acquire Percy Harvin for mid-round pick
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Seahawks have traded Percy Harvin to the Jets for a conditional pick.

Advice: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds that the compensation is expected to be a mid-round pick. The timing of the trade is surprising, as Harvin is currently dealing with a thigh injury and was listed as questionable this week. The moves leaves the Seahawks with just Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse as their top two receivers, while Jets GM John Idzik is using his Seattle ties in an attempt to upgrade Geno Smith's supporting cast. Harvin had just one game over 50 receiving yards this season and reportedly "wasn't viewed as a fit." With Harvin gone, rookie Paul Richardson is a candidate for an expanded role. Harvin is due a non-guaranteed $41.5 million over the next four seasons. Rotoworld.com

  • Seahawks list Harvin questionable vs. Rams
Percy Harvin (thigh) is listed as questionable for Week 7 at St. Louis.

Advice: Harvin was added to the injury report on Thursday when he missed practice with a thigh injury. His availability is now a question mark, though the Seahawks have not shown any outward worry that Harvin would miss the game. The Seahawks-Rams game has a 1PM ET start, so we will know Harvin's status before any games are played on Sunday. TE Luke Willson is also listed as questionable. Rotoworld.com

  • Bengals don't know when AJ Green will return
Coach Marvin Lewis acknowledged Friday that A.J. Green (toe) still has no timetable for return.

Advice: "The time is up in the air," Lewis said. The Bengals will continue to trot out Mohamed Sanu as their No. 1 receiver, after placing Marvin Jones (foot) on injured reserve this week. Green is officially listed as doubtful for Week 7. Rotoworld.com

Calvin Johnson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 7.

Advice: Johnson didn't practice all week, and on Friday coach Jim Caldwell said Megatron would need a "miracle" to play against the Saints. We're not counting on Johnson suiting up versus New Orleans, but check back Sunday morning to be sure. Rotoworld.com

  • Will take 'miracle' for Megatron to play Sun.
Coach Jim Caldwell suggested it would take a "miracle" for Calvin Johnson (ankle) to play Week 7 against the Saints.

Advice: In other words, Johnson isn't going to play Sunday. The Lions may also be without Eric Ebron, who is battling a hamstring injury. It'll be the Golden Tate and Reggie Bush/Joique Bell show. Megatron may be held out through the Week 9 bye. We'd consider him highly questionable for Week 8 against the Falcons. Rotoworld.com

  • Percy Harvin (thigh) misses practice Thursday
Percy Harvin (thigh) was held out of Thursday's practice.

Advice: Harvin was also "DNP" on Wednesday, but it was designated "not injury related." Harvin missed last Thursday's practice with his thigh issue before ultimately being listed as "probable." There's no reason to expect any different this week. Harvin will be a boom-or-bust WR2 against the Rams. Rotoworld.com

There's no timetable for Harry Douglas' return from a foot injury.

  • Kenny Britt goes 3-39 in Week 6 loss
Kenny Britt caught three passes for 39 yards in the Rams' Week 6 loss to the 49ers.

Advice: With Brian Quick mostly a non-factor, Britt saw five targets to finish second on the team to Jared Cook. He did his damage of ins and crossing patterns over the middle. Britt is the third or fourth option in the passing game. He's a WR5. Rotoworld.com

  • Rueben Randle leads Giants in receiving
Rueben Randle caught five passes for 58 yards in Sunday night's Week 6 loss to the Eagles.

Advice: He was targeted a team-high nine times. The Giants couldn't do anything in the pass game with their offensive line struggles, and were shut out by the Eagles. With Victor Cruz out for the season, Randle has a promising going-forward outlook. He's locked in as the No. 1 receiver, with Odell Beckham replacing Cruz in two-wide sets. Randle will be on the WR2 radar against the Cowboys in Week 7. Rotoworld.com
