    • Jonathan Stewart will make start vs. Browns
Coach Ron Rivera announced Jonathan Stewart will start Week 16 against the Browns.

Advice: DeAngelo Williams (hand) will only be used in an "emergency," leaving Stewart to handle another 20-plus carries against a suspect Cleveland run defense. With Cam Newton back under center, it should open up more running lanes than Stewart saw with Derek Anderson in Week 15. Stewart is in the RB2 discussion. Rotoworld.com

    • T.Y. Hilton officially questionable for Week 16
T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 16 against the Cowboys.

Advice: Coach Chuck Pagano cautioned to not count Hilton out for Sunday despite him not practicing at all this week. Hilton worked off to the side with trainers on Friday. Beat writer Mike Chappell is "convinced" Hilton won't play, but we're unlikely to get a definitive answer before Sunday. The Colts have already clinched the AFC South and have little chance at a first-round bye. They may choose to play it safe with their No. 1 receiver. It wouldn't be smart to risk Hilton to further injury. Rotoworld.com

C.J. Spiller (collarbone) is listed as probable for Week 16 against the Raiders.

Advice: It's unclear what Spiller's role will be in his return from I.R./recall due to a broken collarbone. Fred Jackson has been handling the vast majority of the work in the Buffalo backfield of late. Spiller can't be trusted in fantasy lineups during title week, even against a Raiders defense that gets gashed by running backs via the pass. Oakland has surrendered eight receiving touchdowns to running backs. Rotoworld.com

Mike Chappell of RTV6 Indianapolis is "convinced" T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) will not play Week 16 against the Cowboys.

Advice: Chappell has been covering the Colts for 30 years. His opinion is worthy of taking note. Hilton hasn't practiced at all this week and wasn't present again Friday. If he sits, Donte Moncrief should see a major boost in snaps. With Reggie Wayne and Hakeem Nicks lacking any semblance of separation skills, Moncrief and Coby Fleener could hog targets against the Cowboys' weak pass defense. Rotoworld.com

Coach Tom Coughlin said Corey Washington needs to practice better and do more on special teams to earn more offensive snaps.

Advice: With the Giants' season lost, Washington played just one snap last week against the Redskins and 54 in total as a rookie. "Do a better job on the practice field. Do a better job all around," Coughlin said. "He does have to, obviously, become better at his job." Coughlin says Washington knows the offense well enough to play. • DeMarco Murray (hand) expected to play Sun.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cowboys have left the decision to play Week 16 against the Colts up to DeMarco Murray (hand), "in which case he will definitely opt to play."

Advice: Murray's going to give it a go Sunday. He has an outside shot at netting 2,000 rushing yards -- he currently sits at 1,687 -- and is said to have a high pain tolerance. Murray's broken bone is in his left (non-dominant) hand. If he suits up, owners have to play him. Murray is having an historic season and has a plus Week 16 matchup against a leaky Colts run defense. We can't expect Murray to carry it 30 times, but 20-plus touches is doable. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Lacy's eye is irritated due to an issue with his contact lens. He hopes to be able to wear contacts for the game Sunday, but left the door open for him to pull off the Eric Dickerson look. Either way, Lacy's status for Week 16 isn't in serious question, though he and James Starks could split work more evenly than last week. Jordan Todman rushed five times for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Titans, adding two catches for five yards.

Advice: Todman had the play of the night in the fourth quarter. With the Jags running a fake reverse, Todman took the handoff, made one cut and was off to the races for a 62-yard touchdown. Todman showed serious speed in housing his first score of the year. He could be in for a bigger role in Week 17 if Toby Gerhart (ribs) can't go. Rotoworld.com

Toby Gerhart rushed 12 times for 53 yards and a touchdown before leaving the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Titans with a rib injury.

Advice: He added a seven-yard reception. Shaken up in the second half, Gerhart briefly played through what was billed as a rib "contusion," but was then ruled out late in the fourth quarter. He operated as the Jags' clear lead back before going down, but ceded some touches to Storm Johnson and Jordan Todman. Gerhart was feisty between the tackles, shedding defenders and showing off some spin moves. He looked miserably slow when the Jags tried to send him around the edge, however. Gerhart should be considered questionable for next week's finale against the Texans. Rotoworld.com

DeMarco Murray (hand) practiced for the second-consecutive day on Thursday, getting in a limited session.

Advice: Murray was officially listed as "DNP" on Wednesday even though he was observed by the assembled media as practicing. Either way, Murray continues to get reps, and has even been catching passes with his left hand wrapped up. It sure seems like the Cowboys expect him to suit up against the Colts, though it's possible he'll officially be a game-time decision. Murray comes with much more risk than usual for the fantasy finals, but owners in season-long leagues have to play him if he's active. Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar will form a committee if Murray can't go. More of a pass catcher than Randle, Dunbar's role figures to be bigger than usual even if Murray plays. Rotoworld.com

According to DallasCowboys.com's Bryan Broaddus, the "early thinking" is DeMarco Murray (hand) will play in Week 16 against the Colts.

Advice: A former longtime Cowboys and NFL scout, Broaddus is as plugged-in as anyone covering the team. Cowboys VP Stephen Jones stated on Sirius XM Radio Monday that Murray faced an "uphill battle" to face Indianapolis, but that may have been gamesmanship ahead of arguably the biggest game of Week 16. It's worth noting that Murray's band surgery on his hand was performed on his left hand. Murray primarily carries the ball with his right hand. The injury could affect him in pass protection and as a receiver, but Murray should be all systems go as a ball carrier against the Colts. Rotoworld.com

Advice: We've seen more upbeat reporters on Murray's chances of playing elsewhere on the internet, but indications coming directly from the team are less optimistic. Jones expressed confidence Murray would play in Week 17 against the Redskins. But it sounds like Joseph Randle is the favorite to start this week against the Colts. It's clearly not a long-term concern, but the Cowboys will be in a world of trouble if they lose to the Colts on Sunday. For now, owners should consider Murray truly day to day. If Murray can't go, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar will form a committee in his absence, with Randle likely handling early downs and Dunbar getting passing work. Even if Murray suits up for Week 16, it's possible he'll be limited. Brittle through the first three years of his NFL career, Murray's first injury of 2014 couldn't be worse timed, though the Cowboys have been tempting fate with his massive workloads. Rotoworld.com

    • Falcons think Julio will be ready for Week 16
Speaking Monday, Falcons coach Mike Smith said he expected Julio Jones (hip) to return for Week 16.

Advice: Per Smith, Jones has "improved last week to this week." It's great news, but should be taken with a major grain of salt. Smith is consistently wrong with his public-injury proclamations. Jones didn't appear particularly close to suiting up against the Steelers, but he was always going to be up against it on a short week. For now, owners can pencil Jones in for the fantasy finals, but his availability should be considered far from a given. Jones' status will be updated no later than Wednesday. Rotoworld.com

Giants coach Tom Coughlin didn't update Rashad Jennings' (ankle) status at Monday's presser.

Advice: What Coughlin did have to say wasn't exactly encouraging. "Whether or not we're all the way back to Square 1, I don't know that." At best, Jennings will be limited for Week 16. At worst, he's played his final down of the season. Fantasy owners can't be counting on Jennings suiting up against the Rams, while Andre Williams is a must add on the off chance he's still available. Rotoworld.com

DeMarco Murray had 31 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 15 win over the Eagles.

Advice: Both of Murray's touchdowns came at the goal-line, but he was otherwise held in check. Murray wasn't involved in the pass game this week, adding just one catch for three yards. He now needs to average 157 rushing yards over the Cowboys' final two games to reach 2,000 for the season. Murray will be a top-three running back play against the Colts in Week 16. Rotoworld.com

Rashad Jennings aggravated his lingering ankle injury during Sunday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Jennings re-sprained the joint on his very first carry of the game. Andre Williams finished it out, rushing 18 times for 44 yards and catching one ball for nine yards. With just two games left in this lost season for the Giants, we wouldn't be surprised if Jennings shuts it down. Williams would be a weak plug-n-play at St. Louis in Week 16. Rotoworld.com

T.Y. Hilton tweaked his hamstring during Sunday's win over the Texans.

Advice: We didn't notice it during the game and Hilton appeared to finish without missing any time. But he was very quiet after a three-catch first quarter, perhaps limited by this hamstring tweak. When asked if he will be OK afterward, Hilton said, "I hope so. I'll know more after I go get an MRI and talk with the doctors." The Colts have a tasty matchup at Dallas in Week 16. If Hilton rests, Donte Moncrief would get a big boost in both snaps and target volume. Rotoworld.com

Jonathan Stewart managed 73 yards on 22 carries and caught a six-yard pass in the Panthers' Week 15 win over the Buccaneers.

Advice: Stewart lost a fumble in scoring position in the third quarter, making this a mediocre fantasy performance when it could've been an excellent one. Stewart again fumbled in the fourth quarter, but thankfully recovered it. Stewart deserves to keep the Panthers' feature back job for Week 16 against the Browns, but we can't guarantee it. DeAndre Hopkins caught five passes for 77 yards in Sunday's Week 15 loss at Indy.

Advice: Hopkins saw a season-high 13 targets, a predictable number once Andre Johnson (concussion) was ruled out. No other Texan had more than four targets. The problem was that Hopkins saw Vontae Davis' side too often and Tom Savage was overwhelmed in a relief role. A Week 16 matchup against the Ravens is tasty on paper, but Johnson's likely return and Savage's woes make Hopkins a risky WR3 play despite Sunday's volume. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Although the Colts crowded the box heavily following Ryan Fitzpatrick's second-quarter injury, Foster powered his way through repeatedly. He remains one of the most talented backs in the league at finding holes and shedding contact. Foster also had a 25-yard TD run called back by a holding penalty. However, it's going to be extremely tough sledding in Week 16 with a brutal matchup against the Ravens and Tom Savage at quarterback. Advice: Hilton started off hot, getting open at will with precision route-running and even going up tall to win a contested ball. Three of his catches came in the first quarter. Then Andrew Luck went cold, the Colts offense stalled and Hilton suffered. The 50 yards are Hilton's third-lowest of the season heading into a dream matchup with the Cowboys in Week 16. Advice: He caught two passes for nine yards. With Denard Robinson's (foot) season over, Gerhart got the start and out-touched Storm Johnson and Jordan Todman 15-6-4, respectively. It may have been the best Gerhart has looked all season, especially against Baltimore's stout run defense. By the 14:14 mark in the second quarter, he had eight rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Gerhart is the best bet for touches, but he hasn't had more than five carries in a game since late September. It's what the Jaguars signed him in the offseason for, though. Johnson will be active for the first time since Week 6. Todman will continue to handle third-down snaps. It's a fantasy situation to avoid. Rotoworld.com

    • Ryan Mathews has ankle injury; status unknown
Ryan Mathews was held out of practice Wednesday due to a right ankle injury.

Advice: Mathews' injury occurred with two minutes left in the first half. He did handle two second-half carries, but lost eight yards on them. The Union-Tribune San Diego sheds no light on Mathews' potential Week 15 availability. Donald Brown recently passed Branden Oliver on the depth chart and would be the Chargers' likeliest lead back against the Broncos if Mathews can't go. Rotoworld.com

    • Arian Foster held out on Wednesday
Arian Foster (groin) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: It's a rest day for Foster coming off his 24/127/1 line against Jacksonville. Foster will be a top-five running back play for Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Julian Edelman (thigh) limited Wednesday
Julian Edelman (thigh) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Edelman played 57-of-78 snaps and posted a 8/141/1 line last week despite his thigh issue. His Week 15 status isn't a concern. Edelman will be a high-floor WR3 against the Dolphins. Rotoworld.com

    • Rashad Jennings to see more work in Week 15
Coach Tom Coughlin said Rashad Jennings should be able to carry more of a full load Week 15 against the Redskins.

Advice: Jennings isn't even on the Week 15 injury report after being limited to three touches last week against the Titans coming off an ankle injury. Andre Williams had his best game of the season, rushing for 131 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries, so we'd expect him to have a role. Jennings will be more of an RB2 against a Redskins defense playing well against the run in 2014. Rotoworld.com

    • Cowboys not slowing down with Murray
The Cowboys still have no plans to curtail DeMarco Murray's workload.

Advice: Murray is in a walk year, and the Cowboys seem to have no bones about riding him until the wheels fall off. "DeMarco is a guy who has shown he can handle the workload, both as a runner and a receiver," coach Jason Garrett said. "He wants more. He never wants to come out of the game. ... He’s a bell cow player and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down at all to me." For his part, Murray says he feels as good as he has all season despite touching the ball a whopping 41 times in Week 14. Murray needs to average just over 131 yards rushing over the Cowboys' final three games to reach 2,000 for the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Panthers won't commit to Stewart as starter
Panthers coach Ron Rivera declined Monday to commit to Jonathan Stewart as his starter.

Advice: Although Stewart has been running at an elite level all year and put 20-155-1 on the Saints Sunday, the Panthers are clinging to DeAngelo Williams (questionable, hand). It's both strange and troubling. "We're not going to do things because it's what everybody expects or thinks," Rivera said when asked about making Stewart the unquestioned feature back. Stewart is a fine RB2 play in a home game against the Bucs for now, but we can't rule out Williams stealing carries if he suits up. Rotoworld.com
