  • Greg Jennings to play against Packers Sunday
NFL Network's Albert Breer reports Greg Jennings (ribs) is expected to play Week 12 against the Packers.

  • Report: Gray to play, split work with Blount
Jonas Gray is expected to be active for Week 12 against the Lions despite oversleeping and missing Friday's practice.

Advice: LeGarrette Blount will also be active for the Patriots after being signed earlier in the week. New England will "divvy up" the carries between the two big backs, while Shane Vereen will also play heavy snaps. We're avoiding both Gray and Blount in fantasy against Detroit's stout interior run defense. Vereen is a fine RB2/FLEX option with the Lions allowing backs to catch the ball in space. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Josh Gordon to play 20-30 snaps Sun.
ESPN's Adam Schefter was informed by a league source that Josh Gordon will play 20-30 snaps in his Week 12 debut against the Falcons.

Advice: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds Gordon "will either start or be in quickly" with the Browns rotating him "in and out," yet they're open to playing Gordon more "if he's feeling good." Gordon can do damage on 20-30 snaps, though we might take the over on this. Browns-Falcons could be a shootout, but Cleveland could try and slow the pace by leaning on its run game. It's a volatile situation. Gordon is a must-start in season-long leagues, but is more of a tournament than cash play in DFS. Rotoworld.com

  • Pettine: Gordon ahead of where we expected
Speaking Thursday, coach Mike Pettine said Josh Gordon is "maybe little ahead of where we expected."

Advice: Gordon practiced Wednesday for the first time since August and it went well, with Brian Hoyer targeting him tons. Gordon's "pitch count" will be raised on Thursday, meaning the Browns will give him more reps ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. Pettine's pleasure with where Gordon is at physically and mentally right now bodes well for his chances of seeing something around 75-85 percent of the snaps in his 2014 debut. Although we wouldn't expect a massive game given the circumstances, he's a must-start in season-long formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Browns say Josh Gordon will be on pitch count
Coach Mike Pettine said Wednesday that Josh Gordon will be on a "pitch count" this week.

Advice: It's a bit unclear if Pettine was referring to practices or Sunday's game against the Falcons. What is clear is that he's trying to temper expectations. "There needs to be a progression. The trap to fall into is, 'Hey, he's back and let's just go ahead and throw him out there for a bunch of plays.' There's certainly danger inherent in doing that," said Pettine, who also talked to Ross Tucker about research the Browns have done on higher injury rates after long layoffs. We're not expecting Gordon to play 100 percent of the snaps Sunday after three months off, but even a limited Gordon is a must-play in season-long formats. He's a legit All-Pro talent for a playoff-contending team desperately in need of weaponry. Rotoworld.com

  • Pettine continues to hint at limits on Gordon
Coach Mike Pettine continues to try to downplay the impact Josh Gordon will have in Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Advice: Pettine mentioned to Ross Tucker about research the Browns have done on higher injury rates after long layoffs. Gordon has not been permitted to practice since training camp and is taking contact this week for the first time in 80 days. Of course, we're talking about an All-Pro talent on a team that is both desperate for offensive weaponry and clawing for a playoff berth. Even if Gordon is a bit limited in terms of snap count and volume, he's a must-play in season-long formats right away. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Whooo boy! Via Burleson, Gordon recently said, "I'm going to lose 10-15 pounds. When I come back, I'm going to tear this league up." Observers at Browns practice Wednesday said Gordon looked sharp running routes and in shape during the 15 or so minutes open to the media. The Browns have alluded to easing Gordon back into the picture, but Falcons coach Mike Smith isn't buying it. And neither are we. Cleveland is in the middle of a dogfight for a playoff spot. The NFL and Elias Sports Bureau made a stat change Tuesday, crediting Jonas Gray with 37 carries for 201 yards and four touchdowns in Week 11 against the Colts.

Advice: Gray had a previous rushing line of 38-199-4. He had a minus-two-yard rush nullified because of a penalty. ESPN Boston expects a "different offensive approach" out of the Patriots in Sunday's Week 12 game against the Lions.

Advice: Recent Patriot gameplans when facing the Colts have been to smash them in the mouth with power runs. That is not going to work against a Lions defense that leads the league in rush yards allowed per game (68.8), YPC allowed (3.03) and is tied for second in touchdowns allowed (4). It's risky to project Bill Belichick's thoughts, but this certainly feels like a Shane Vereen game. Gray is a riskier RB2 than many think off his four-touchdown outburst. Rotoworld.com

Although coaches haven't been permitted to be in contact with him during the suspension, he has been allowed to work out at the facility and is reportedly in excellent shape. We'd expect him to hit the ground running in a Kyle Shanahan offense that is predicated on a strong run game and a voluminous/effective "X" receiver. Gordon can certainly be that, as evidenced by his jaw-dropping 87-1646-9 line in 14 games last season. Lynch also turns 29 next April and ESPN's Chris Mortensen previously reported that the team has "grown tired" of his "ways." On the field, however, Lynch continues to perform at an All-Pro level, ranking fifth among running backs in yards after contact per attempt and averaging a hefty 4.59 YPC with nine touchdowns. • Jonas Gray explodes for 199 yards, 4 TDs
Jonas Gray had 38 carries for 199 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 11 win over the Colts.

Advice: The Patriots featured Gray in a workhorse role, giving him the majority of snaps over Shane Vereen. It's a similar strategy to what New England did to the Colts in the playoffs last year, when they rode LeGarrette Blount and Stevan Ridley to six touchdowns. Gray got goal-line and early-down work over Vereen, who finished with five touches. All four of his touchdowns came from inside the five-yard line. Gray should continue to get the bulk of the carries going forward, but is going to be hard to trust in a Week 12 matchup against the Lions. Seemingly desperate to get him touches, the 49ers actually handed the ball to VD as a running back (it went for a 4-yard gain). Davis now has six catches for 55 yards in his last four games combined. Advice: Martin practiced on Thursday and Friday, but the one-win Bucs have no urgency to play him. Martin has been droppable in fantasy leagues for a few weeks now. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Arian Foster out for Week 11 vs. CLE
Jayson Braddock of 790 Houston reports Arian Foster (groin) will not play Week 11 against the Browns.

Advice: We don't typically use Braddock as a source, but he's had some good Texans nuggets in the past, so it's worth a mention. The Texans have been pretty quiet on Foster's status all week, with coach Bill O'Brien chalking him up as a full-blown game-time decision. Foster, himself, wouldn't commit to playing, simply saying, "We shall see." Foster owners should own Alfred Blue already. If not, you need to be making other plans. Cleveland was already a top-end D/ST streamer, but would become infinitely more attractive if Foster ends up sitting. Rotoworld.com

  • Shanahan 'can't wait' until Josh Gordon's back
Browns OC Kyle Shanahan said he "can't wait" until Josh Gordon is back from suspension next week.

Advice: "I can’t wait to get him back, looking forward to it," Shanahan said. "And as soon as he’s ready to go, we’ll make sure to work to get him the ball." Gordon has been around the team facility the past couple months, working out and catching passes off the Jugs machine, but he's eligible to return to the team Monday and get his first practice in Wednesday. Expect Gordon to slide right back in at X receiver, a position the Shanahan offense has targeted heavily in the past. He should be an immediate WR1. Rotoworld.com

  • Jackson aggravated groin injury vs. Chiefs
Fred Jackson aggravated his groin injury in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.

Advice: In other words, Jackson's Thursday inactive wasn't just a matter of the Bills being on a short week. Jackson returned from his initial injury quicker than anticipated, and now it's costing him another game. He should be considered questionable for Week 12. Bryce Brown is getting the start against the Dolphins, but should rotate with Anthony Dixon. Rotoworld.com

  • F-Jax inactive for Thursday Night Football
Fred Jackson (groin) is inactive for Week 11 against the Dolphins.

Advice: F-Jax himself broke the news on Twitter. The short week was simply too much to overcome. It leaves Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon as the Bills' runners. Early-down back Dixon has the higher floor, but will likely find running lanes scarce against a Dolphins' run defense allowing only 3.9 yards per carry. Miami has surrendered just four rushing scores all year. Brown has the higher-ceiling as the Bills' pass-catching back. The Buffalo News' Tim Graham has gone as far as to recommend Brown as a PPR play, believing the Bills may focus on short passes since ground yards will be hard to come by. Neither player is a recommended RB2. Rotoworld.com

Pierre Thomas (shoulder, ribs) remained sidelined Thursday.

Advice: Thomas appears all but certain to miss his fourth-consecutive game. Travaris Cadet will continue to handle passing-down work against the Bengals. Rotoworld.com

  • Arian Foster 'definitely' game-time decision
Speaking Thursday, Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Arian Foster (groin) will "definitely" be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Advice: Foster remained sidelined Thursday. There was early-week optimism that Foster would be ready to rock coming off the Texans' bye, but all current signs suggest he's no better than 50-50 to suit up. It's a nightmare for fantasy owners, and a shame since the Browns have one of the league's very-worst run defenses. Alfred Blue will be a plug-and-play RB2 if Foster sits. Foster's status will be updated no later than Friday afternoon. Rotoworld.com

  • Delanie Walker sitting again on Thursday
Delanie Walker (concussion) remained sidelined Thursday.

  • Doug Martin back at Bucs practice Thursday
Doug Martin (ankle) returned to Bucs practice Thursday.

Advice: He'll likely be listed as "limited." There's now a chance Martin will be ready for Sunday's game against the Redskins, but it's far from a given. Even if Martin does return, it will likely be as the No. 3 on the depth chart behind Charles Sims and Bobby Rainey. Martin is no longer a consideration in 10-12 team leagues, and is barely on the radar in 14-team formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Fred Jackson 'almost certainly' out
A source tells the Buffalo News that Fred Jackson (groin) almost certainly won't play in Thursday night's game at Miami.

Advice: The short week has proven too much to overcome for Jackson after he handled 26 snaps against the Chiefs Sunday. So the Bills will have to go into a pivotal division game with Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown as their top-two backs. Look for the inside-running Dixon to draw the start, but we'd rather take a shot on Brown as the explosive back that's better in the pass game. Jackson owners need to sit tight in the hopes he gets to 100 percent for a tasty fantasy playoff schedule (vs. GB Week 15, at OAK Week 16). Rotoworld.com
