    • Marcus Lattimore re-enrolls at South Carolina
Former 49ers draft pick Marcus Lattimore has re-enrolled at the University of South Carolina with a projected graduation date of January 2016.

Advice: He'll also take on an "ambassador" role with the university and its football program. Lattimore is still South Carolina's all-time leader in touchdowns. He tried to spend about a season and a half in the NFL recuperating from two devastating knee injuries, but couldn't get his body in optimal condition to play in the pros, understandably. Lattimore turned 23 this past October. Rotoworld.com

    • Marshawn Lynch was seriously sick
Following Sunday's blowout win over the Cardinals, Seahawks OL coach Tom Cable said Marshawn Lynch missed the first quarter because Lynch was "the sickest I've ever seen him."

Advice: Twitter conspiracy theorists came out in droves Sunday night to suggest Lynch had been suspended, but it sounds like Lynch was genuinely under the weather. Coach Pete Carroll corroborated Cable's story, saying Lynch was "trying to throw up but couldn't." The NBC telecast also showed Lynch being stretched out on the sideline between possessions, after entering the game. Lynch should be a full go for Week 17 against the Jekyll & Hyde Rams defense. • Manziel (hamstring) will miss season finale
Johnny Manziel (hamstring) is done for the season, Browns coach Mike Pettine announced Monday.

Advice: It ends a highly disappointing first NFL season for Manziel, who failed to beat out career journeyman backup Brian Hoyer in training camp and fell flat on his face when given late-season opportunities to play. Manziel's arm is average, and he looses all semblance of zip when he doesn't deliver passes with proper technique. He is also not close to being an even passable pocket quarterback. Barring dramatic offseason improvement, we don't see Manziel as particularly likely to open 2015 as the Browns' starter. Rotoworld.com

Falcons coach Mike Smith declined to update Steven Jackson's (quad) status at Monday's presser.

Advice: Smith did say Jackson was undergoing testing on Monday. ESPN's Vaughn McClure has reported Jackson is tentatively expected to suit up for Sunday's winner-take-all finale against the Panthers, but considering Jackson's age and injury history, it's far from a sure thing. Advice: Smokin' Jay comes crawling back. He'll be backed up by sixth-round rookie David Fales. Cutler will be facing the Vikings, a team he shredded for 330 yards and three touchdowns in a Week 11 victory. We obviously aren't expecting a repeat performance, but Cutler will be on the DFS radar. Speaking Monday, coach Bruce Arians confirmed the Cardinals are "leaning" towards starting Logan Thomas against the 49ers.

Advice: Drew Stanton (knee) isn't ready and Ryan Lindley has looked completely overwhelmed, so Arians doesn't have much of a choice as the Cards jockey for playoff seeding. Arians did say Thomas would have to practice well to earn the nod, and that he'd be on a short leash on Sunday. Stanton is hardly a capable NFL quarterback, but the Cards will be one-and-done in the playoffs if he isn't ready to go. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Murray predictably didn't catch a pass for the first time this season, but gutted out a 22-58-1 line on the ground. He figures to be closer to 100 percent in Week 17 if the Cowboys choose to use him. According to ESPN's Vaughn McClure, Steven Jackson (quad) should be back for the Week 17 game against the Panthers.

Advice: Jackson strained his quad during the second quarter of Sunday's win at New Orleans and didn't return. That allowed Devonta Freeman to get some extra touches, turning one of the them into a 31-yard touchdown run and adding a 3-48-0 line as a receiver. The 31-year-old Jackson is averaging 3.72 YPC this season as the Falcons' feature back. If the Falcons beat the Panthers, they'll win the NFC South with a 7-9 record. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: ARZ won't cut Fitzgerald in offseason
A source tells PFT that the Cardinals will not release Larry Fitzgerald this offseason.

Advice: Fitzgerald carries an exorbitant $23.6 million cap number for 2015 as part of the eight-year, $128.5 million contract he signed in 2011. Per PFT, the future Hall of Famer could be traded, restructure his deal or lower his cap number via an extension of some sort -- but he won't be cut. Of course, this could be a leverage leak from the team looking to maintain some kind of trade market for a 31-year-old receiver who has just 61 catches, 755 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games this season. The Steelers already clinched a playoff spot by beating the Chiefs yesterday. Advice: Willson was left wide open for a 80-yard touchdown on a blown coverage by Cardinals S Rashad Johnson in the first quarter. He was on the receiving end of both of Russell Wilson's touchdowns, with his second coming on a 20-yard seam route. It's a nice breakout game for Willson, who should continue to see the majority of snaps when Tony Moeaki returns. Seattle plays the Rams in Week 17. Rotoworld.com

With the Cowboys leading 35-0, DeMarco Murray (hand) is getting the tape cut off his hand and appears to be done for the day.

Advice: Murray played 30-of-49 offensive snaps before getting pulled, turning 22 carries into 58 yards and a touchdown. He was not targeted in the passing game. Murray was clearly hampered by the hand injury. He carried the ball almost exclusively in his right hand and seemed wary of using his hands to block in pass protection, instead attempting to essentially tackle the blitzing defender. Murray did not suffer any setbacks, but with the NFC East already locked up, the Cowboys may decide to rest Murray in the season finale against Washington. Rotoworld.com

Ben Roethlisberger completed 18-of-25 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 20-12, Week 16 win over the Chiefs.

Advice: Big Ben was slowed by the Chiefs' elite pass defense, but found just enough cushions to propel the Steelers to their 10th win, and a Wild Card berth. Pittsburgh can still clinch the division if they beat the Bengals in Week 17. Ben was lucky to escape without a turnover, as he appeared to lose a first-half fumble, but it was ruled an incomplete pass upon a dubious review. Lance Dunbar should see more work in the passing game while Joseph Randle could siphon off some carries as well. With both RT Doug Free (ankle) inactive and RG Zack Martin (ankle) banged up, Murray could also be hindered by the health of the Cowboys' offensive line. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports several unnamed NFL executives believe the Bears may have to give up a draft pick in order to trade Jay Cutler.

Advice: Still owed a guaranteed $25.5 million on the seven-year deal signed last offseason, Cutler's contract appears to be trade prohibitive. Schefter's sources believe the Bears could offset the big guarantees by offering Cutler AND a draft pick to prospective trade partners. NFL rules dictate the Bears would have to receive some compensation in return, but Chicago could get around the rule by accepted a late-round pick in exchange for Cutler and a better pick. It would be a high price to pay to offload a talented quarterback, but with coach Marc Trestman likely finished after the season, Chicago may simply press the reset button. Rotoworld.com

Murray's broken bone is in his left (non-dominant) hand. If he suits up, owners have to play him. Murray is having an historic season and has a plus Week 16 matchup against a leaky Colts run defense. Either way, Murray continues to get reps, and has even been catching passes with his left hand wrapped up. It sure seems like the Cowboys expect him to suit up against the Colts, though it's possible he'll officially be a game-time decision. Murray comes with much more risk than usual for the fantasy finals, but owners in season-long leagues have to play him if he's active. Speaking Thursday, Jay Cutler said he hopes to remain with the Bears beyond 2014, but admitted that it's "definitely" crossed his mind that he may have played his final game in Chicago.

Advice: Admitting he was disappointed by the first benching of his football-playing career, Cutler was realistic about his future in the Windy City. Cutler's seven-year, $126.7 million deal will get labeled as impossible to trade, but that's not necessarily true in a league so starved for quarterback talent. It will only take one team to believe it has what it takes to jump-start Cutler's career. Releasing Cutler isn't a realistic option for the Bears, as they'd absorb $19 million in dead money. Speaking Thursday, Bears coach Marc Trestman left the door open for benched QB Jay Cutler to start in Week 17.

Advice: "This is for this week," Trestman said. "We're not going any farther than our preparation for Detroit." Trestman is clearly trying to keep Cutler's spirits up, but barring a total face-plant from Jimmy Clausen, we'd expect Cutler to remain on the pine for Week 17. Trestman went on to say he believed Cutler could be "revived" from the benching, hinting he's expected to remain the team's quarterback in 2015. That's probably an honest belief, but it's unlikely to be Trestman's decision to make. Clausen doesn't give the Bears a better chance to win than Cutler, but leading the league in turnovers and regressing on a weekly basis, Cutler has little room to complain about being benched. • Bears bench Cutler, Clausen to start Week 16
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Bears will start Jimmy Clausen over Jay Cutler in Week 16 against the Lions.

Advice: The Bears are benching Cutler just 14 starts into his seven-year, $127 million extension. Per NFL Network's Mike Silver, coach Marc Trestman felt he could no longer start Cutler "simply to justify a contract" when his on-field play was so poor. Cutler regressed in his second season in Trestman's offense, leading the NFL in turnovers (24). Owed a fully guaranteed $15.5 million next year, the Bears' only option is to trade Cutler this offseason if they want to move on from him. Chicago would absorb $19 million in dead money by releasing Cutler before 2016. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMarco Murray participating in practice Wed.
DeMarco Murray (hand) participated in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Murray had his left (non-dominant) hand wrapped after breaking it last Sunday, but went through all of the individual drills and caught some passes out of the backfield. We believe Murray is going to try to play Week 16 against the Colts with the Cowboys having a chance at home-field advantage for the playoffs. Rotoworld.com

    • Jay Cutler tosses 3 INTs in MNF embarrassment
Jay Cutler completed 17-of-31 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in the Bears' 31-15, Week 15 loss to the Saints on Monday night.

Advice: The matchup couldn't have been much better for Cutler, but he predictably went all DGAF on us and took seven sacks, missed open receivers, and turned the ball over another three times. Both of his touchdowns came late in the fourth quarter. He hooked up with Marquess Wilson for a one-yard score to bring the score to 24-8, and then found Alshon Jeffery for the garbagiest of garbage-time touchdowns from seven yards out with 30 ticks left on the clock. Cutler leads the NFL in turnovers and gets to face the Lions' tough defense in Week 16. He managed 280 yards and a 2:2 TD:INT ratio against Detroit on Thanksgiving, but this Bears team has lied down since then. Rotoworld.com

Bears declared K Robbie Gould, S Chris Conte, OL Michael Ola, DE Trevor Scott, DT Brandon Dunn, QB David Fales, and CB Terrance Mitchell inactive for Monday night's Week 15 game against the Saints.

Advice: Jay Feely will handle kicking duties for the second straight week with Gould battling a quad injury. DT Jay Ratliff (knee) is active and will start on the inside. Rotoworld.com

    • Browns support Johnny Manziel
Coach Mike Pettine threw more support behind Johnny Manziel at his Monday press conference.

Advice: "We didn't play well around him," Pettine said following Cleveland's Week 15 shutout loss. "We feel he gives us an opportunity to win." Pettine went so far as to say the Browns would not have beaten the Bengals on Sunday were Brian Sipe their quarterback. Manziel will be a low-end QB2 in Week 16 at Carolina. Rotoworld.com

    • Pettine confirms Manziel will start Week 16
Coach Mike Pettine said Johnny Manziel will start Week 16 against the Panthers.

Advice: It also sounded like Manziel will be the starting quarterback through Week 17. That comes as no surprise. It will give the coaching staff three games of tape on Manziel and allow him to get his feet wet before 2015. Johnny Football finished with about as horrific a stat line one could imagine in his debut, but Pettine placed much of the blame on the players around Manziel. He'll be a high-risk QB2 against Carolina, but one with plenty of upside. The 7-7 Browns are out of the playoff picture. Rotoworld.com

    • Cardinals could have package for Logan Thomas
Coach Bruce Arians said the Cardinals could have a package of plays for Logan Thomas as the quarterback in Week 16 against the Seahawks.

Advice: The Cardinals are going to have to pull out all the stops to try and get by until Drew Stanton (knee) returns -- if he returns at all. Ryan Lindley and Thomas are all they have. Thomas has the bigger arm and loads more talent, but isn't NFL-ready, while Lindley has at least made starts at this level and could try to manage his way through the game. Avoid the entire Arizona passing attack in Week 16. Rotoworld.com

    • Jermaine Kearse has 78-yard day vs. 49ers
Jermaine Kearse caught 5-of-6 targets for 78 yards in the Seahawks' Week 15 win over the 49ers.

Advice: The 78 yards were Kearse's most of the season. He might have gone over 100, but couldn't corral what would have been a long gain on his sixth target. Kearse's big-play upside is well established, but he doesn't get nearly enough looks to be on the WR3/4 radar in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Marshawn Lynch finds end zone vs. 49ers
Marshawn Lynch rushed 21 times for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' Week 15 win over the 49ers.

Advice: He added a seven-yard reception. It was a by-the-numbers Beast Mode game, as he took on extra tacklers and won. Lynch has now cleared 86 yards rushing in 5-of-6 games, scoring six total touchdowns in the process. Although he's been running well, he'll be a lower-end RB1 in a tough Week 16 road trip to Arizona. Steven Jackson rushed for 46 yards on 11 carries in the Falcons' Week 15 loss to the Steelers.

Advice: He added one catch for 11 yards. Jackson has been running pretty decently lately, averaging 4.37 YPC over his last three games. He's also found the end zone four times the past seven games. Still, Jackson is mostly a low-upside, back-end RB2. He gets the Saints in Week 16. Jackson rushed for 52 yards and no scores on 12 carries against New Orleans in the season opener. Rotoworld.com

Ben Roethlisberger completed 27-of-35 passes for 360 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the Steelers' Week 15 win over the Falcons.

Advice: Big Ben and the passing game accounted for much of the offense, but Le'Veon Bell was the one cleaning it all up at the goal line with two rushing touchdowns despite 47 rush yards. Roethlisberger hooked up with Antonio Brown 10 times for 123 yards. Heath Miller reeled in four passes for 68 yards, including a 25-yard gain that sealed the seven-point win. • Manziel goes down in flames in first start
Johnny Manziel completed 10-of-18 passes for 80 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions in the Browns' 30-0, Week 15 loss to the Bengals, adding five rushes for 13 yards.

Advice: It was a performance only Brian Hoyer could love. The Browns' 107 yards of offense were the fewest by any team in football this year. In Johnny Football's defense, he had two early third-down completions undone by drops, and another first down wiped out by a foolish illegal man downfield penalty. But he went off the rails after that, tossing two ugly picks, the second of which came in the end zone. The Bengals bore down on the box, eliminating Manziel's rushing lanes, and racking up three sacks. It was an ugly, ugly performance, but we'd imagine the Browns stick with Manziel for Weeks 16 and 17. He'll be a high-risk QB2 against the Panthers next Sunday. Rotoworld.com

    • Bears OC Kromer admits he criticized Cutler
Bears OC Aaron Kromer admitted to the team on Monday that he was an anonymous source in a recent NFL Network report criticizing Jay Cutler.

Advice: That would be Ian Rapoport's "serious buyer's remorse" report, though a "tearful" Kromer "adamantly denied" making the buyer's remorse comments. Whatever Kromer did or didn't exactly say, it's a stunning admission, and indicative of Raiders/Redskins-level dysfunction in Chicago. It's appearing less and less likely that coach Marc Trestman is going to keep his job. Not only has his defense collapsed, but his once-prolific offense has bordered on unwatchable many times over the past 5-6 weeks. Kromer's unprofessional act is going to earn him sideways glances the next time he's looking for a job. Rotoworld.com

    • Larry Fitzgerald has seven-catch night in win
Larry Fitzgerald caught 7-of-10 targets for 30 yards in the Cardinals' Week 15 win over the Rams.

Advice: He also had a 27-yard catch called back by holding. The seven grabs were Fitz's most in four games, but he was limited to catching dinks and dunks as coach Bruce Arians tried to mask Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley's deficiencies. Fitz wasn't allowed to do work after the catch by a sound-tackling Rams defense. Fitz looked healthy tonight, and now has 10 days to heal up for Week 16, but will remain off the WR3 radar against the Seahawks' Legion of Boom. Rotoworld.com
