  • Welcome to the 2017 edition of the WDE Rumble. The time has come to once again plan your path to the top of the fantasy football mountain. With a new season comes the chance for new changes. The Rumble has been a place that has never been afraid to experiment with some of the new capabilities that Yahoo allows us to enjoy and this year brings one of the biggest changes we've seen in years:

    1) Flex spot expansion: The flex spot has now expanded to encompass WR/RB/TE/QB. Eseentially this makes the Rumble a 2QB league. This is definitely an experimental change - if we determine that it takes away from the fun of the league, we will revert it back to the original or remove the QB component of it.

    2) DST Point addition: We've increased the amount an extra point return would get you for DST. Instead of 4 points, it is now equal to getting a punt/kickoff touchdown of 10 points. I believe it only happened once last season.

    3) DST Point reduction: We have cut the points for DST related items in half. The juggernaut DST performances really threw things off during certain weeks last year, so hopefully this will bring DSTs more in line with the rest of the league and not be such a game changing outlier.

    4) Draft Time change: We have moved the draft time to night time to better accommodate teams with kids. If the night time draft doesn't work for a majority of people, we will move it back to the afternoon/late morning timeslot.
